Days of Holiness ~ Day 5: Your Kingdom Come
The father of lies, as described by Jesus, uses deception and fear in destroying lives — he tempts humanity to sin and then drags people down into the pit with guilt and shame, that leads to depression and even suicide. This has become a huge problem in every sphere of Australian society.
There is a spirit of intimidation that is fiercely going after all Kingdom leaders and followers of Jesus but, as it is written, we “will never run away (in fear).” Faith, firmly set upon Christ, is patient and never rushes — God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 1 Peter 2:6 says, “Whoever believes in Him will certainly not be disappointed.” His Church is the answer to overcoming — His indwelling presence is in His Holy People, the Ekklesia.
We have the Holy Spirit living inside us and our prayers are powerful and effective. Now let us awaken to listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches and obey His voice. Today let us love and worship our Holy Lord in awe and reverential fear.
As we worship and pray, let us incline our ears to what the Father is saying and say those very things, as our decree is powerful. As we watch and see what the Father is doing, as Jesus did when He prayed, we see that He went out each day fulfilling the Father’s pleasing perfect will, and the Kingdom advanced wherever He went.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus, that when He ascended He sent His Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Holiness, to abide in every believer. Holy Spirit, we invite You afresh today to flow in and through us. We open our hearts to You and say Your Kingdom Come and Your will be done as it is in Heaven.
Lord, where You dwell there is fullness of joy and abundant life. Lord, let us, the great south lands of Your Holy Spirit, stand firm in faith in these days. May we say only what You are saying. Let the mountains of death of the unborn, and destruction of innocent lives in Australia, be cast into the sea.
Lord, You have heard the cries of the unborn and the blood of Your Son crying out forgiveness over our land. Lord, raise up Your church, and as You build her, You said the gates of hell will not prevail over her. Thank You that You are interceding for our nation to turn from her wicked ways. May we be found full of faith to believe in Your goodness and never fall into unbelief.
As we fast and pray in these 37 Days, tune our ears, eyes and hearts more fully to Your kingdom ways. We bless You, Lord, as the Giver of Life; we magnify You as our holy righteous King, enthroned on justice and righteousness. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every other Name. Amen.

As America marks 250 years of independence, most know little about the document that launched the nation — and even less about why it mattered. The Declaration of Independence is a revolutionary argument that asserts that all people are created equal and that governments derive their power from the consent of the governed.

More than a decade after same-sex marriage was legalised in America, recent polling reveals public support for it — as well as for gender ideology — has declined significantly. Why? When two massive earthquakes devastated Venezuela on 24 June, killing thousands and displacing millions, it was Christian aid organisations that arrived before most overseas aid, with field hospitals, food, water, and medical teams. Yet Christian relief work remains largely unrecognised by a world that sometimes views it with suspicion.

Vicki Derderian was denied a heart transplant despite holding a valid medical exemption from the COVID-19 vaccine, so she sought treatment overseas — where she was deemed eligible. Fighting Australia's medical system with dignity and grace, she passed earlier this year, but her example of courage and faith remain.
