New Zealand PM Denies Vaccination Was Compulsory Despite Widespread Mandates
We are at the ‘no one made you take it, it was your choice’ stage of the pandemic.
Here is New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins telling reporters at a press conference on Sunday,
“In terms of the vaccine mandates, I acknowledge it was a difficult time for people, but they ultimately made their own choices. There was no compulsory vaccination, people made their own choices.”
New Zealand had widespread workplace vaccine mandates, as well as proof of vaccination requirements for entry to cafes, gyms, businesses, and for travel.
No jab, no job.
‘Choice.’
Former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said:
“If you want summer, if you want to go to bars and restaurants, get vaccinated. If you want to get a haircut, get vaccinated. If you want to go to a concert or a festival, get vaccinated, if you want to go to a gym or a sports event, get vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, there will be everyday things you will miss out on.”
‘Choice’
Reporter: So you’ve basically said, you probably don’t see it like this, but two different classes of people, if you’re vaccinated or unvaccinated. You have all these rights if you are vaccinated…
Ardern: That is what it is, so yep.
‘Choice’
‘Choice’
In Australia recently, Pfizer representative Dr Brian Hewitt pulled the same stunt in a Senate Committee Hearing, telling Senator Pauline Hanson that despite widespread work vaccination mandates, “no one was forced to have a vaccine,” but that people were rather offered an “opportunity” to get vaccinated.
‘Choice’
A sign in a Perth doctor’s clinic during the height of workplace vaccine mandates:
“COVID Vaccines are MANDATORY in some industries. All Vaccines have to be consented to. PLEASE DO NOT abuse our staff if you feel coerced into your Vaccine.”
‘Choice’

So here we are, at the ‘no one made you take it’ stage of the pandemic.

Pfizer reps say a ‘mandate’ is the same thing as an ‘opportunity.’ Do you agree with this? We’d like to offer you a mandate to fly to London for a holiday! Wearing a seatbelt is an opportunity. I believe in equal mandate for both sexes. What rubbish.
Chris Hipkins also wants to change the meaning of words. Should New Zealanders allow this? (Click here to see Maryanne Demasi’s post.)

New Zealand has an election on 14 October. This is an opportunity for New Zealanders to send a clear message to Chris Hipkins about what they think of his attempts to bend the English language to craft his revisionist history.

I’d like to hear from people who got the vaccine in the comments — did you feel you had a choice?

Australia still has a blasphemy law architecture that goes by a new name — namely, our vilification and anti-discrimination framework. These laws have striking parallels to Australia’s old blasphemy laws, with the exception that they serve a new god and are more readily enforced than the old ones.

great and important article thanks again Rebekah ….we know many who were forced …people came to their front doors in some places with mobile clinics and even took their children to be jabbed ….using threats if they did not comply . Saw first hand people being told that medical treatment would be refused and access to families would be denied etc etc .
After 19 years of teaching, I was forced to use up my long service leave and finally forced to get the mandated gene therapy injection which by then was well and truly proven to be ineffective and unsafe. If I didn’t get the two jabs I would lose my job and my salary. No choice. Just coercion.
That’s a horrible position to be put in. I’m sorry to hear that Paul.
My sister’s work mandated the jab. She said no, on the basis that she had a previous partial hearing loss from an ear infection and a more recent concussion, and apart from being very concerned about the possible effects upon those conditions and worsening them, she was not happy about the whole narrative. While recovering from the concussion, and struggling to get herself well enough to work again, she also had to fight to keep her job. Had to prove she couldn’t, shouldn’t get the jab. Thankfully, the mandates were dropped before she was given an ultimatum. The stress she was put through, on top of the concussion, in having to fight for her right to say no – plain inhumane. The concussion on it’s own was more than enough of a burden for her. I’m angry writing this now, it’s bringing back unpleasant memories. She lives in Auckland which was locked up far longer than anywhere else in NZ, and we couldn’t see her for months, couldn’t give her the support in person that she desperately needed.
My eldest child, about to attend university, couldn’t have attended without a jab. My other two, at secondary school felt they would ‘miss out’ on things and one of them assumed (incorrectly as it turned out) that all her friends would do it, so she did too. Those two now wish they hadn’t as they are now aware of the porkies we were told.
I have friends in the education sector, solo mums, who were also forced into taking the jab. Both experienced side effects, one has ongoing issues. One was in tears both times she was jabbed and wouldn’t give consent to the jabber to do the deed. The jabber was perplexed about this, insisting ‘but you have to so I can give it.’ My friend was trying to say she didn’t want it but was being forced into having it to keep her job.
I loathe the coercion, the lies, the deception. The pain and stress that people have been put through for NOTHING is outrageous. And now this from the current, but not for long PM – gaslighting everyone who was forced to be medicated, or lost their job, their home, their friends, family relationships, denied normal things like haircuts, movies, going out for a coffee, going to the library and so on, if they didn’t.
