Rejoicing in the Pre-Launch of Jesus: The Centre of It All
On 20 November Canberra Declaration held a special Monday night Zoom meeting to announce the upcoming release of Jesus: The Centre of It All.
The book aims to present Jesus in His biblical context as well as reveal the significant impact He has had — for the better — on our world. Above all, we pray it teaches and reaches a new generation and makes a big impact on ‘already believers’ and the ‘not-yets’!
That Monday night was a time of celebrating God’s goodness in sustaining the book-writing process from the first dream to where it is now — ready for order! You can watch the full recording of Monday night – which included a number of very special guests who shared – in the video below.
The book was inspired by Colossians 1:16-17, which teaches the supremacy of Christ above all things: “For everything was created by him… all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and by him all things hold together.”
Hear from Our Special Guests
Many special guests joined us on Monday night and shared why they are excited about the book and the impact they believe it will have. We are delighted to share the endorsements of four of these special guests.
CultureWatch author and Canberra Declaration co-founder Bill Muehlenberg (TBC) writes,
“The Christian worldview speaks to all aspects of life, and these two authors have discussed that often. But there is always the need to get back to the centre—to the very core of Christianity. And that of course is Christ. In this easy-to-read and scripturally rich volume, Mahlburg and Marsh do a fine job of reminding us of the central biblical truths, and that Christ is indeed the centre of human history.”
Creation Ministries International speaker and scientist Dr Mark Harwood also writes of the book’s centrality of Christ with these words:
“Kurt and Warwick have written an excellent book that paints the big picture of biblical history and leads the reader to a place of encounter with the person of Jesus.
“There is nothing more central than Jesus as the whole of history turns on His life, death and resurrection, and so too will the culmination of the age.
“This book is a delight to read, with many personal anecdotes, and would be most accessible to anyone seeking to understand Christianity and experience its transforming power. I can highly recommend it and I would encourage the reader to gift a copy to others as a means of evangelism.”
Youth for Christ’s National Director Cindy McGarvie expressed her excitement with these words:
“As I read this book, my reaction can be best articulated using the sentiments expressed by the followers of Christ on the road to Emmaus: ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?’ Warwick and Kurt’s discussions about Christ and their expounding of Scripture fanned the flame of faith in my heart. I loved their raw personal stories too!”
And finally, Kym Farnik, Executive Member of Australia Prays, put the significance of the book like this:
“What an amazing book, so much in such a readable and easily understood form. From the starting chapter ‘Jesus, Messiah of Israel’ to the last ‘Jesus, Coming King’, an aspect of Jesus is simply but powerfully expounded.
“I would expect both Christians and seeking non-Christians would really get a significant and deeper understanding of the full character and nature of our Lord Jesus. Lifting up Jesus is the number one thing we can do to see people come to a saving knowledge of Christ.
“Jesus: The Centre of it All is going to be used as a powerful tool for one-on-one witness and evangelism.”
“I found the chapter ‘Jesus, Radical Revolutionary’ particularly challenging in that we are also called to be radicals for God in our daily walk with Him.”
“Please get as many copies as you can and give them to as many people as you can. Each reader will be impacted greatly by this wonderful book.”
Making Jesus and Prayer Central!
We were extremely grateful to hear from the above special guests – plus many more – and celebrate the release of this evangelistic and discipleship resource!
As we focus on the centrality of Christ, prayer for the book’s successful release is central, too!
Orders are now open for Jesus: The Centre of It All. Please use this link to order both paperback and ebook versions. It’s a great gift for friends and family. And it’s being released just in time to use it as a stocking stuffer!
Thank you to all who joined us on the night, and all those who will watch the recording above and be a part of this significant launch for gospel impact. Please pray and celebrate this book, which is all about Jesus!
Yours for the centrality of Jesus in all things (Col 1:13),
