There is a lot of encouraging material to be found in this chapter of Scripture. We are called to share the Gospel with others. The Apostle Paul told us that ‘all scripture is… profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness’ [...]

Does our oneness in Christ mean thinking exactly alike? A phrase you will find often in my writings is ‘we need to get the biblical balance right’. That is something all Christians always must strive for. It is all too easy to go off on [...]

This is a shocking bit of propaganda presented as journalism. To defend the indefensible always means one has to resort to euphemisms, subterfuge and deception. Telling the truth about what is clearly unacceptable just will not cut it. As George Orwell put it, “political language [...]

Considering how to organise a nation with cohesive values that promote human flourishing, Wolfe puts forward a strong case for Christian nationalism. This is actually my third article on this volume, and I expect more will be forthcoming. Being a lengthy book with careful argumentation, [...]

The public arena is not neutral -- rival religions are competing for hegemony. We are told -- at least in theory -- that in the West all points of view are welcome, and they can be argued for in public forums. This may have been [...]

Many people know what it is like to be a black sheep. Many families and communities will have some black sheep: those who are ostracised and vilified because they are considered to be a disgrace. Sometimes such treatment can be justified -- sometimes not. Of [...]

A culture based only on feelings and sensations is a doomed culture. Civilisations used to be based in good measure on reason and mental and moral clarity, on rationality and common sense. Sadly, most of that has been swept away in the West and we [...]

Following the mid-term results, we need to reflect again on matters of faith and politics. Well, the American mid-terms have come and gone. Yes, counting continues, and some results -- including a likely Georgia run-off election to be held next month -- will take some [...]

Thoughts on the election results. Late counting is still underway in the American mid-term elections, but by now we know fairly clearly how things have panned out: there was not a massive red wave for the Republicans as many expected, but there were some gains [...]

Some will ignore the evidence even when it stares them in the face. When folks are captivated by particular ideologies and belief systems, and are held captive to particular narratives, they can have reality and facts staring them in the face, but they will still [...]

Just how are we guided into all truth? This is another passage that may not seem all that difficult to understand, but it can be misused and abused. Let me give it to you in context. Jesus is telling His disciples that He will soon [...]

A great saint with a great mind and a great heart has recently passed. I was not going to pen a piece on this great man’s passing, since a number of good pieces are already appearing on him and his ministry. The New Testament scholar [...]

One of the greatest needs for Christians today is to start using the minds that God gave us. The English humourist P. G. Wodehouse once said: “Some minds are like soup in a poor restaurant -- better left unstirred.” On a more serious note, the [...]

Considering the billionaire Musk, his acquisition of Twitter, and his Christian critics. Just because we do not share the same theology or anthropology does not mean we cannot support the good things that someone does. It seems to happen every time. You get some well-known [...]

Just what is the biblical view of government? Big topics these -- ones that this site has covered countless times. For example, I have over 1000 articles on politics, and nearly 4000 on Christianity. Many of them look at the biblical view of government, warn [...]

An important new resource on the threat of transhumanism. Nearly a century ago, Aldous Huxley penned his chilling and prophetic Brave New World. In this dystopian novel, he mapped out a future in which science and technology, instead of greatly helping mankind, became the undoing [...]

The American Revolution could not be more different from the French Revolution. ‘Revolution is revolution,’ some people might think. But in reality, while many can be quite similar, some can be quite different. Here I wish to speak about two very important revolutions, the French [...]

Statist religion and its war on Christianity. Because God exists, and because we are all made in His image, that means all people are inescapably religious. We all are made to worship, and if we refuse to worship the one true living God, we will [...]
