Most Pro-Life Man

Day 15: The Most Pro-Life Man I’ve Ever Known

1 February 2026

3.4 MINS

Intention

To be inspired by the most pro-life man who ever lived.

Scripture

“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God… The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.”

– Romans 8:14–17

Reflection

Have you ever paused and wondered why the world thinks Christians are so stubbornly, even obnoxiously, pro-life? To many, life feels fragile, painful, and often pointless. “What’s so good about life anyway?” they ask. I used to ask the same question.

I was convinced life was little more than what one atheist famously called a “blind, pitiless, and indifferent” march toward death. Suffering seemed to outweigh meaning. Purpose felt thin. And if life itself felt empty, why would anyone fight so fiercely for it?

Then I met the most pro-life man I have ever known.

We didn’t talk often before then, not enough to even claim we really knew each other. But what I did know of him grated me. He was convinced every life mattered, including mine. He loved people with a kind of inconvenient compassion. And he seemed utterly unmoved by my cynicism.

Most of our conversations broke down. I pushed back. I doubted. I dismissed him. But one day, what he said, warmed my heart in an indescribable way.

He told me he believed life was worth dying for.

And then he told me he loved me enough that he died for me.

That was the day I truly met Jesus.

My pro-life journey did not begin in a debate, a rally, or a political moment. It started the moment I realised the Son of God laid down his life so I could have eternal life. Suddenly, life, my life, your life, every life, became infinitely more meaningful in my eyes.

Now, having read Scripture from beginning to end, I see it clearly: the entire arc of God’s Word is profoundly, unapologetically pro-life. The Bible opens with life spoken into existence by a loving Creator (Genesis 1:1). It closes with the promise of a new creation where life flourishes forever (Revelation 21–22). And at the centre stands the climax of the story, life himself entering the world as a baby, stepping into our sin and death to redeem us. Jesus.

Romans 8 tells us why this matters so deeply. We are all spiritual orphans, born into sin and death. But through Christ’s mercy, we are adopted, brought into the family of God, given the Spirit of life, and promised resurrection life. We are no longer disowned, no longer abandoned, no longer dead. We are children of God.

This is why Christians fight for life.

Because every person, born or unborn, bears the image of the God who creates, redeems, and restores by hHis mercy.

We worship the one who has paved the way to walk in true life.

The most pro-life man who ever lived will remain my inspiration. And he is still offering life through his mercy and redemption to all who draw near.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for the breath in my lungs today. A gift from your hand. Thank you that though I was born into sin and spiritual orphanhood, you redeemed me, adopted me, and called me your own. I rejoice in being your child. I rejoice in the hope of resurrection life. Help me today, and every day, to honour life, defend life, and speak words of life in all my interactions. Amen.

Great headline and a beautiful perspective on prolife. It is easy to see that the great lack of faith in God and especially ignorance of the critical need for our personal Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, has opened up the chasm of despair, greed, lust and materialism which are the drivers of the contraceptive and abortion ideology.
But there is also a great harvest of sorrowful and desperate souls, wounded by anti-natal sins, awaiting those Christians who can be instruments of Christ’s great love, compassion, forgiveness and healing.
We need to pray for these wounded souls that they receive the illumination of conscience and repentance – these can only come from God’s grace, and it is our job to purchase these supernatural gifts for our suffering brothers and sisters with prayer, fasting and thanks for our own precious gift of Faith.

“He told me he believed life was worth dying for.” “And then he told me he loved me enough that he died for me.” So profound, so beautiful – and so magnificently and mind-bogglingly true. Thank you Joshua.

As well as rescuing babies from death before life, how about promoting adoption of children who are not wanted. Do you know that those who are supposed to be helping children in bad places, neglectful and angry parents etc., etc., denigrate the whole idea of adoption – yet there are many couples in Australia wanting to adopt babies and children – they have to resort to apply overseas!

Joshua this is brilliant dear brother. Kris Dhillons words encapsulate your wonderful devotion. “He told me he believed life was worth dying for.” “And then he told me he loved me enough that he died for me.” So profound, so beautiful – and so magnificently and mind-bogglingly true. Thank you Joshua.
