We all differ in so many ways. It can be easy to judge someone else for not measuring up to our personal standards of a "good Christian", but each person is a beloved son or daughter of God, growing at their own pace, receiving His [...]

You know things are really bad when a church cannot define what a woman is. When the church follows the world instead of the living God, it is heading down the same slippery slope to hell as the world is. When the church sells its [...]

You need to be aware of this key Christian thinker. He has identified the source of the malaise in modern society and promotes the rebuilding of Western civilisation through the restoration of the family and a renewed appreciation of Almighty God, the Love Who purifies [...]

We all have a long way to go in our Christian journey. But if we rely fully on God's grace, we will get there. Let us learn from the mistakes of others, and strive not to repeat them. Christians know what my title refers to [...]

The inspiring story of two churches defying the secular state despite severe restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic. The basic right to worship God freely was severely challenged over the past few years as most Western governments clamped down on all sorts of basic liberties -- [...]

There is actually some great news in the Australian census regarding religion. Nominal Christians are truly falling away, leaving those on fire for Christ to carry on the standard. With "cultural Christians" no longer laying claim to be adherents of the faith, the message from [...]

We must watch out for the sort of company we keep. It is vital throughout life to be discerning about the friendships we choose to cultivate, if we want to avoid vice and nourish virtue. Too often, bad company leads Christians to compromise our values [...]

What a momentous decision this was, a win for democracy and humanity. The SCOTUS judges responsible for overturning Roe v Wade are to be commended for their courage and clear legal thinking. While the pro-abortion Left threatens further violence, we must begin to rebuild the [...]

Assessing the rhetoric of the God-haters. The arguments and attitude of secularists toward religion and religious adherents, in particular Christians, can be rather contrary and confusing. Those who hate God and religion -- especially Christianity -- like to pride themselves on how intelligent they are [...]

Church leaders -- and their families -- sure do need our prayers. Being the kids of a pastor comes with extra pressures and challenges. Pastors' and missionaries' families need community support and holy friendship even more as they navigate the ups and downs of a [...]

Where are the prophets among us? We are called to speak God's truth to the people we encounter in our lives. If we, the Body of Christ, are silent, who will speak to them? They need our prophetic witness. What follows might sound quite strange [...]

In praise of Christian misfits. Following Christ naturally means being at odds with the world around us. Embrace your peculiarity; never be ashamed of being a fool for God. Maladjusted Christians? Yes, in the eyes of the world this will always be the case. And [...]

We seem not to want to talk about suffering much. It can be an uncomfortable topic. But everyone goes through affliction, and the Bible does not shy away from discussing it. All of us can tend to be rather quiet about certain issues. For example, [...]

Another Christian institution sells its soul, capitulating to the ways of the world and celebrating sin. Why does Eerdmans have to jump onto the LGBT bandwagon? Some of the biggest and most famous Christian -- and mainly evangelical -- publishing houses in America would include [...]

Although the action around abortion may seem to be mainly found in politics and through civil (or uncivil) discourse, there is a very real spiritual battle taking place. Souls, human lives are at stake, and our ancient enemy is ever on the prowl. This is [...]

You will never be truly happy unless you do things God’s way. The divine economy is not of this world -- in fact, it is often paradoxical and quite the opposite of what is "common sense" on this mortal plane. Happiness and peace are not [...]
