It has come to our attention that this show about abortion will be on at the Fringe, starting Tuesday 25th February for 5 days. We would like to join with you in a day of prayer for this actress, Lana Schwarcz.

Why would you go to see a show about abortion?
Nobody wants to hear about that – which is the point.
Everyone has an opinion, especially representatives from organised religion, but we treat it as secret women’s business.
That it should be a woman’s right to choose doesn’t mean men shouldn’t have to deal with it, especially when they started it.

Actor/comedian Lana Schwarcz gives a very personal account and she does a deft dance between the political, the legal, the comic and the educational.
But she never loses sight of the human reality: a woman’s heartbreaking dilemma and the potential life in the middle.
The audience gets to help with fun like lobbing “sperm” into the waiting vagina (at the start) and triggering a cannon which fires babies (at the end).
In between, they have to make their own decisions and find out about what’s growing on in there, interspersed with a simple, factual account from an (American) doctor who performs abortions.

“Performing” abortions – who’d have thought you could do that on stage?
Although, that’s what the Fringe can do so well.
This is art that will make you think.
Schwarcz is a warm and engaging artist, and her singing is a standout, especially the song about leaving the judgments to God.
The grand finale, Je ne regrette rien, never sounded so much like an anthem.
In a state where abortion is still a crime, this show deserves full houses.

Lord forgive them, they know not what they do!
We make this our prayer for those involved in creating and producing a horrific ‘Abortion act’ at the Fringe Festival in Adelaide. We have enraged the enemy with our prayers and the Walk for Life.
Now he’s overplaying his hand with actress Lana Schwarcz acting out a play of having an abortion. Surely people will not go and watch such vile horror!

Let’s pray and fast this Wednesday 26th February to see this act shut down, and ask the Lord to have mercy and give Lana an encounter with the Lord Jesus, the Giver of Life! By faith, we move this mockery mountain into the sea! It is no more — it has no power, no voice and no place in our city.

We repent on behalf of our city for allowing so many ungodly shows to be presented in the name of the Arts. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Light, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. (James 1:17) We thank God for the incredible gifts and talents of these actors, and ask for divine revelation of Truth to come to each and every one of them.

We pray for supernatural protection of all children who may be attending inappropriate shows — please guard their innocent eyes and ears. Thank You for those who are providing godly entertainment, Lord; empower their shows to draw Your lost sheep back into the fold.

For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments, and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete.
