Unbreakable

Day 10: Unbreakable

27 January 2026

3.7 MINS

Intention

To establish God as the true Lord of our lives, so that nothing that will shake him from that position in our lives.

Scripture

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Saviour.”

– Habakkuk 3:17–18

Reflection

Praising and worshipping God has nothing to do with music. And it has nothing to do with positive feelings or circumstances.

It is a sacrifice from our lips, acknowledging and declaring the goodness and power of God. It is realigning ourselves to again establish God as sovereign in our life. It is in essence saying, “God you are good and you are my God.”

There are times when it is easy to worship, times where things are going so well that you can’t help but to offer up the sacrifice of praise to him for his goodness. And there are times when this sacrifice takes everything in you — when it is a complete act of faith to still believe that God is completely good and able and to believe that his promises are true.

These are times when God has not done what you had hoped he would do. Times when healing has not come, when you were not delivered from your trial, when you were not protected as you had hoped. These are times when the last thing that you naturally feel like doing is giving glory to a God who could have changed the outcome.

This is when we work out who is number one in our lives — us or God.

The Bible tells the story of Job, who lost everything, his possessions, his livelihood and his children. Yet when he first hears the report, this is how he responds:

“At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship.” (Job 1:20)

When God is truly established as Lord of your life, there is nothing that will shake him from that position in your life, there is nothing that will shake your belief in his promises or his goodness. When he has this position, he has become an anchor for your soul and you will be able to look at any storm and trial and be able to worship and say, “You are good, you are my God and I trust you.”

On many occasions, I have praised, thanked and worshipped through tears and pain of tremendous loss, and from firsthand experience I can guarantee that no matter how dark your night, this act of faith will release the peace and power of God into your situation.

Truly the Spirit of God spoke through the Apostle Paul when he penned:

“Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 4:6–7)

God has faithfully held you as you survived 100% of the days you have been alive, and he promises that he will see you through 100% of your days to come.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank you, that by your Holy Spirit we can agree with what Jesus is praying today in intercession for the vulnerable unborn. We can agree with his prayer for the distraught and fearful mothers and fathers and for those who may speak to them today. Lord, we ask for your kingdom come and your will be done in their lives.

Awaken every person to fulfill their purpose and calling given by you with courage and strength not to give up or turn aside. May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts truly reflect your heart towards all those whom you have made.

In Jesus’ powerful redeeming name, amen.

God has given me a most extraordinary life, wonderful adventures, but, I have , also, experienced the most awful dangers and been alone with no one to comfort me when a widow it looked I would lose my job and home and end up living in a car with my young children. In those moments I turned to our Heavenly Father to give me courage. To all those who are in despair, you NOT alone . God is with us every minute of the day. Pray. God listens. He is Real !
