Trump prayer for America

Trump: Major US Prayer Event Will Rededicate America to God, Marking 250 years of Faith, Family and Freedom

As America nears its 250th anniversary, Donald Trump calls for national prayer and a rededication to God, faith, and founding principles shaping liberty and freedom.

Celebration preparations for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States will include rededicating the country to God.

The plan was revealed during this year’s National Prayer Breakfast, with Donald Trump affirming that,

“From the beginning, the United States has always been a country sustained and strengthened by prayer.

“So, as we chart our course for the next 250 years, let us rededicate ourselves to one nation under God.”

He also mentioned the importance of faith, stating, “If we bring religion back stronger, you’re going to see everything get better and better.”

One Nation Under God

Chiding the timidity of politicians and former presidents seemingly too scared to credit God as our Creator, Trump quoted the US Constitution, saying, “They refused to say it, I won’t.”

“In 1776,” he asserted, “history changed forever when our founders proclaimed the immortal truths that echoed around the world, declaring that all of us are made free and equal by the hand of our Creator.”

“We are endowed with our sacred rights to life, liberty, and not by government but by God Almighty Himself,” Trump added.

“And those words rang out from Philadelphia and launched a revolution not just in America but in the hearts of all humanity.”

Describing the Constitution as a “beautiful work of art”, he said that those patriots “liberated millions from tyranny and lifted billions from poverty, and it’s doing now more than ever before.”

After reminding those gathered about his administration’s policy successes, he paid tribute to the US’s pioneering spirit, stating, “Think of what we could do? We just have to keep going!”

Discussing the rapid rise in military recruiting after how low that number fell on “Sleepy Joe’s” woke watch, Trump argued that the nation was finding its feet again.

“Our country was built on a system of merit, and then we went away from it a number of years ago. We got it back.”

More than merit, he continued, “to be a great nation, you have to have religion. You have to have it. You have to have faith.”

Adding that he’s read and studied a lot, Trump said, “You have to have God.”

Speaking about COVID, he told churches that they had “been treated terribly by the Democrat presidency.

“They were like dictators, and the Gestapo.

“They were arresting people for going to church, and [as president] I’ve had to [make a] lot of amends to those people.”

Now, like the military recruiting numbers, churches are making a comeback.

Some are experiencing a major “renewal”, Trump explained.

For example, young people are heading to church at “nearly twice the rate they did four years ago.”

Also, “in 2025, more copies of the Holy Bible were sold in the United States than at any time in the last 100 years.”

Freedom 250: A National Call to Thanksgiving and Rededication

On this note, Trump said he was “pleased to announce that on May 17, 2026, Americans from all across the country are being invited to come together on the national mall to pray and give thanks.”

While there, Trump said, “We’re going to rededicate America as one nation under God.”

His speech reasserts a 29 January proclamation where Trump encouraged Americans to celebrate the “triumph of freedom” that is America.

“Today and throughout this year, I call on every American to celebrate this triumph of the American spirit, and to rededicate themselves to the sacred cause of liberty and justice for all.”

The Bible teaches: “In all circumstances give thanks.”

“We mark the 250th anniversary of the United States,” he said, “to celebrate our proud history, reflect on our abundant blessings, pray for our country and our people, and rededicate ourselves as one Nation under God.”

“Today, too,” Trump wrote, “we pray that our noble cause continues to be guided by the hand of providence and the grace of God — and that the fire of freedom will forever burn brightly in the heart of every American.”

“Rededicate 250” is, in effect, an invitation to declare that the God who reigned in 1776 still reigns in 2026.

Alongside the 17 May “Freedom 250” rededication plans, the Trump White House has made available a 22-page downloadable resource titled Prayers and Proclamations.

The download, which can be accessed here, covers 1776 to 2001, and includes Franklin D. Roosevelt’s D-Day Prayer and prayers from the Apollo Space Program’s Prayer League.

Meanwhile in Iran after he told them directly to “Keep fighting, fight, help is on its way” in the beginning of January, over 10,000 people, men, women and children, have been slaughtered waiting for this so called help.

I have listened to a broadcast where a missionary to the middle east and asia said the people there are calling out “he said he was sending help, where was it?” He egged them on, they listened and were slaughtered in the thousands. He has blood on his hands over this.
Does anyone honestly think this person acts and speaks like a Christian?
“The clip, set to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” was spliced near the end of a 62-second video that promoted conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and was among a flurry of links posted by Mr. Trump late Thursday night. It was the latest in a pattern by Mr. Trump of promoting offensive imagery and slurs about Black Americans and others.”

Am I actually supposed to look upon this wolf in sheeps clothing as a Christian? Please, I wasn’t born yesterday.
Just because he says things about Christianity doesn’t make him one.
What fruit is his tree bearing? Speaking great swelling words….hmmmm

      Strawman.

Plus, arguing that Trump isn’t a Christian first necessitates arguing that Trump is one, or at the very least claims to be one. He doesn’t. So, you’re arguing with yourself.

Also, the article doesn’t state that Trump is a Christian, it restates what Trump is saying about faith and religion.

Maybe read the piece, not just the headline?

We here in Australia have been calling the world to pray and fast for America since 2013. We are not alone in this call for prayer.

Unlike Australia, the US Declaration of Independence acknowledges and gives thanks that the Christian God is the inspiration and basis for well being and all that is good. Cowardly European nations in the 16th and 17th centuries were paying huge bribes to the Barbary pirates of North Africa not to attack their shipping, but, the seizure of 2 American ships and the taking of US citizens as slaves, resulted in the USA fighting in 1805 its first war since Independence ( against the Barbary pirates ). “The Marines’ Hymn ” for “right and freedom” …”to the shores of Tripoli” became the rallying cry for war to rescue its enslaved Americans. Inside the US Naval Academy, Annapolis , stands the oldest US monument showing at its base the turbaned heads of the vanquished Muslim enemy. Any nation which ceases to be Christian inevitably becomes enslaved. It is a lesson for Australia , that without the Christian God we are doomed to death or degradation ,or both.

Here is my prayer for Australia which I hope others will share to

Father, You are God who has made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that is in them .
You divided to the nations their inheritance and you divided all mankind and set up boundaries for the peoples.
To this land which you care for; a land of sweeping plains, of ragged mountain ranges
and deserts which bloom under heaven; you sent the black man and later
in your wisdom and mercy you sent our ancestors to share with him it’s bounty.

We came from a different land; of green and shaded lanes, of ordered woods and gardens and soft dim skies.
Our ways were not their ways and the Blackfella came to suffer at our hand.
They, wise in the ways of “country” and comfortable in their land and we as convicts
and settlers sent. desperate to survive in a strange and unfamiliar place.
The Aboriginal reaped a blessing and a curse and only you know the whole truth of how
    we came to be, of injustice to the Black man and the struggle between us all;
for the eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good.

They called us “the lucky country”, we’re not lucky but blessed by you!
In the hearts of prisoners, convicts and soldiers you preserved us the knowledge of Almighty God.
In the earliest settlements you raised up righteous men and women, a remnant to proclaim your name.
From the beginning your hand was placed upon this land and its peoples.
From north and west many came and by toil and grace you prospered our land.
This land of magnificent distances and bright heat.
This land of self reliance, and never-give-in and help your mate.

Those men and those women whose brave souls fought to preserve us this land against tyranny,
Those men and those women who sacrificed and sacrifice still, everything that we should be free
At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them lest we forget,…
Though we remember them Lord, we’ve forgotten who sustained them, who carried
them, and who with broken heart stood with them in their terror and suffering.
We don’t remember their fathers and our grand parents and what has been given to us
by convicts, settlers and pioneers who toiled and struggled and suffered in hope
for their lives and kids and country. We’ve forgotten you Lord, who sustained our people
through the hard times and good and who sustains us still… Help us remember.

Your praises in public are frowned on, and your teaching disdained
Politicians even question the relevance of our Lords prayer although some recite with
boredom and some with contempt or complacency most are glad of it and rejoice,
humbly relying on the blessings of Almighty God, and so for all our sakes it remains.
Many have no vision, no faith, no wisdom, no knowledge.
They say unto God, “depart from us for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways”.
Piece by piece our country is lost; land and asset, heritage and history, purpose, faith, love, and our kids

Our kids Lord have little or no knowledge of their heritage and have little or no knowledge of you or your ways.
They are led astray and are seduced by the world and evil men.
Entertainment and alcohol, drugs, idleness and boredom are often their lot and
many are succumb to loss of hope and of purpose and others to despair and even death.
There are others, young and old, mothers and children, families and single battling for survival on our streets,
and still more battling with drought and fire or floods as they watch their livelihood being destroyed with the loss of loved ones,
    homes and community.

Father open our hearts to you and to one another.
Reconcile and heal our peoples, the black man and the white.
Make us thankful for what we have and who we are and give us courage, resilience and faith in the face of adversity.
Give us a vision for our country; many peoples but one nation where justice and mercy prevail and
    righteousness exalts our land.
Give us the independence and freedom to be that peculiar people “Aussy’s” who’s desire it is to serve the Lord their God
and to love their mates as themselves. Let your spirit rest upon us Lord
The spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of council and might, the spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord.

Help us Lord so that your people who are called by your name will humble themselves,
and pray and seek your face and turn from their wicked ways that you may hear from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our land.
Father there is none other that can help us; for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory.

Oh Australia! My country! Her very name is music to me. God bless Australia!
In that name above every name, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
