As even non-believers understand, the November 5 election in the United States will be hugely significant – for good or ill. Believers especially need to think clearly and biblically about all this.

A horrific terror attack occurred in late July in Southport, England, where three children were stabbed to death at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class. But any talk of this being an Islamic terror attack was quickly squashed by police, the elites, and the mainstream media.

The American multinational pharmaceutical and biotech corporation Pfizer has been around since 1849, when two German entrepreneurs established it in New York. Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccines were far from “safe and effective”.

As I write this piece, Israel has just launched “precise strikes” on military targets in Iran in response to its ongoing attack on the tiny nation, either directly or through its proxies in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and so on.

Here, we have a “Christian” university apologising for having a strong Catholic giving a strong Catholic speech. Um, what would they prefer? In the future will they only have atheist speakers come in? Or Muslim speakers? And they are offering counselling for those who were offended!

We expect non-Christians and Christophobes to hate on Christianity. It happens all the time and is par for the course. But it is a bit more surprising when those who claim to be Christians do much the same thing.

In just this past week, Kamala Harris has demonstrated even more of her intense hatred of Christianity. She and her party made a blasphemous TV ad mocking Holy Communion. She deliberately refused to go to the 60-year-old Presidential Catholic charity dinner in New York City.

One of the older and more well-known private schools in Australia is Methodist Ladies' College in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, founded in 1882. The Herald Sun reported that students were told to remove cross necklaces at the Christian school for fear of offending other students.

If Westerners – especially rulers, commentators, political figures and elites – cannot see a clear moral distinction between murderous Hamas terrorists and Israelis seeking to defend their beleaguered nation after October 7, 2023, then the West really is coming to an end.

Where are all the Western feminists when you need them? Why have hardly any of them been speaking out for the Israeli – and other – females being treated so diabolically by Hamas? Why the silence? Why the selective outrage?

All over the Western world, especially since the horrific October 7 attack, we have seen universities pushing radical Islamist and pro-Hamas hate speech. Radicals have set up tent cities and occupied classrooms as they shout ugly anti-Israel chants.

I speak, of course, of WA Senator Fatima Payman and her newly announced Australia’s Voice party. Will Jews feel welcome in what must be seen as mainly a Muslim Party? What will the new political party’s position be on LGBTI issues and the like?

Rock stars, just like everyone else, have to deal with rejection, pain and suffering, and they need the one true answer to these problems. The overwhelming acceptance we have in Christ is something that compensates for all such rejection.

Take away the history of a people or a culture or a nation, and you effectively take away the people, the culture, and the nation. We are today what has gone before in our past. Being unmoored from our own past makes us quite vulnerable.

A new book by Melania Trump is due to come out in a few days. Among other things, the former First Lady discusses her pro-abortion position. Melania and others like her are standing on the wrong side of history. We can pray that their eyes are opened.

At a recent World Economic Forum meeting, John Kerry made it quite clear that things like freedom of speech and the US First Amendment stand in the way of the global elites implementing their radical changes.

While Vance was the clear victor in this debate, the question arises as to how much of an impact it will have in next month’s election.

These things should sadden us greatly, and they should send us straight to our knees, praying not just for the latest situation, but indeed, praying for ourselves. The month of October is devoted to the issue of sexual integrity.

The pressure to cave into the standards of the surrounding culture is always with us. But we must dare to be Daniels.

The Christian Gospel covers all of life and is able to address all our needs, questions and concerns as human beings. It touches every aspect of life, and there is no part of this world which the Christian Gospel does not speak to.
