The shocking scenes coming out of Amsterdam a few days ago are the latest case of violent anti-Semitism. There, Jews were hunted down and attacked by mobs – mainly Moroccan Muslims – following a soccer match.

The Premier of Victoria Jacinta Allan – a member of the socialist left faction of the Labor Party – wants us to have death taxes, also known as inheritance taxes. Somehow, she thinks that this is a neat idea and a fair thing for governments to foist upon the masses.

Christians have an unchanging message to give to a changing world. That means that the methods that we use to share the good news can and should also change. Why not use new digital technologies for Christian evangelisation and ministry?

The 2024 US Election delivered Donald Trump an incredible victory. It is a victory the 47th President-elect says couldn't have happened without God saving his life.

Here, we have a “Christian” university apologising for having a strong Catholic giving a strong Catholic speech. Um, what would they prefer? In the future will they only have atheist speakers come in? Or Muslim speakers? And they are offering counselling for those who were offended!

We expect non-Christians and Christophobes to hate on Christianity. It happens all the time and is par for the course. But it is a bit more surprising when those who claim to be Christians do much the same thing.

In just this past week, Kamala Harris has demonstrated even more of her intense hatred of Christianity. She and her party made a blasphemous TV ad mocking Holy Communion. She deliberately refused to go to the 60-year-old Presidential Catholic charity dinner in New York City.

One of the older and more well-known private schools in Australia is Methodist Ladies' College in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, founded in 1882. The Herald Sun reported that students were told to remove cross necklaces at the Christian school for fear of offending other students.

If Westerners – especially rulers, commentators, political figures and elites – cannot see a clear moral distinction between murderous Hamas terrorists and Israelis seeking to defend their beleaguered nation after October 7, 2023, then the West really is coming to an end.

Where are all the Western feminists when you need them? Why have hardly any of them been speaking out for the Israeli – and other – females being treated so diabolically by Hamas? Why the silence? Why the selective outrage?

All over the Western world, especially since the horrific October 7 attack, we have seen universities pushing radical Islamist and pro-Hamas hate speech. Radicals have set up tent cities and occupied classrooms as they shout ugly anti-Israel chants.

I speak, of course, of WA Senator Fatima Payman and her newly announced Australia’s Voice party. Will Jews feel welcome in what must be seen as mainly a Muslim Party? What will the new political party’s position be on LGBTI issues and the like?

Rock stars, just like everyone else, have to deal with rejection, pain and suffering, and they need the one true answer to these problems. The overwhelming acceptance we have in Christ is something that compensates for all such rejection.

Take away the history of a people or a culture or a nation, and you effectively take away the people, the culture, and the nation. We are today what has gone before in our past. Being unmoored from our own past makes us quite vulnerable.
