Thousands Attend Sydney May 2023 Freedom Rally

23 May 2023

2.2 MINS

The following Scripture was one of the God moments from the stage at the freedom rally, Saturday 20 May in the heart of Sydney:

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will (Romans 12:2).

About 5,000 gathered (don’t believe anyone who says a few hundred or anyone who claims 10,000). We were predominantly the ‘older generation’, from all walks of life and had come to support a wide variety of causes.

Perhaps the most prominent was the call to ‘Free Julian Assange’. Julian’s father, Richard was there and gave two speeches, one at the start outside the Sydney Town Hall and one at the end, outside the Sydney Google Building, 48, Pirrama Road, Darling Harbour. He was well-informed, eloquent but quietly spoken, gracious and inspiring.

A quote from one of the other speakers:

Get united in God, the real war is between Jesus Christ and the devil.

There were many references to war. Ukraine, Sudan, and the Vietnam War. The advance of NATO into Eastern Europe following WWII against their own declared intentions. And the growing threat to Australia from China.

There was enormous support for the Covid-19 vaccine injured and killed. Many were carrying the ‘flags’ made up of laminated testimonies of the ‘fallen’. There was a call for us to reject the push for digital identity and the abolition of cash. The injustice of the paedophile protection laws was highlighted. The overall theme was a call for freedom from dictatorship in our so-called democratic, sovereign land.

There were calls to end the endless wars, free the press and exit the World Health Organization (WHO). There was much talk of our individual sovereignty and the sovereignty of Australia, and how we are being sold out to the globalists’ agendas.

Reflection on the Rally

I was glad I made the effort to attend. It was optimistic and peaceful. Yes, there were police escorting us and closing roads for us. But no evidence of disruptive behaviour or violence.

I have never been one for demonstrations or rallies. But I would encourage anyone who has not taken part in one, to consider giving it a go. You see, and feel, firsthand what you can only imagine from the legacy media or social media.

Sydney’s Freedom Rally, one of over 200 around the world on the same day, was a call to Sydney and Australia not to conform to the pattern of this world, but to encourage others in the transformation of their minds.

It might be hard to admit but it seems to me that the majority of Australians are living out their lives unable to see the control and subjugation they are under as life is so comfortable. But the 5,000 marching on Saturday seemed to be alive to the realities that so many can’t see.

Let’s consider Julian Assange’s situation. Arrested in London in December 2010, he is still in prison awaiting potential extradition to the USA. His case is certainly complex, but his major crime seems to have been the exposing of war crimes by the Americans in Iraq. How can the imprisonment of an Australian national, in Britain, for over ten years be justified, simply for standing up for the truth?

Consider his circumstances as a picture for each one of us. We might be superficially comfortable, but are we free?

To compare the plight of Julian Assange to everyday Australians, to attempt to build a case that they are “living out their lives unable to see the control and subjugation they are under” is actually a gross insult to Assange and the situation he’s had to endure, and still is! It’s the same as those deluded individuals who describe the irrationally motivated notion that the vaccines are killing people (which you also give a nod to) as a “genocide” or “Holocaust”, which is a gross insult to any victim of such totalitarian horrors!

That, of course, includes any Christian community living under a regime of severe persecution, our brothers and sisters in Christ! I wonder how they would respond if they heard you carrying on about “control and subjugation”?

And it is a gross insult to those politicians and officials who are honestly and sincerely doing their best, who go into politics and public service to do just that — serve!

And it’s also a gross insult to our constitutional form of government, loaded as it is with checks and balances, which renders such “control and subjugation” almost impossible!

All any of this does is elevate you above all those who do not see what you claim to see, giving you some form of enlightenment that others are incapable of seeing, so that you and the comparative few at the rally are somehow enlightened to what the rest of society cannot see.

It smacks, not of Christian discernment, but of Gnosticism!

    Thank you Jim.
We can either remain comfortable or we can do what we have failed to do .

Jim I thank you for your reporting on this subject. As usual your cool head and concise manner is a true credit to your intellect and character.
I find it sad that the demographics of those who attended are of the older generation. We held a Religious freedom and Child Education forum at our church before the NSW election. The audience was primarily over 50, with the exception of our guitarist and sound engineer, one of whom is in her final year of teacher training.
It filled my heart with gratitude for those who stand strong and participated.
Then I read a comment from a person who seems bent on carrying out a mission of belittling every opinion he disagrees with. He calls people out for what he deems lies; it makes my heart sink every time.
I have refrained from commenting on his attacks on fellow believers more in honour of CD itself, but today is a bridge too far for me.
Sir, you must stop this, and I will not name you.
There are people across the country and the world who have and are suffering dreadfully from injuries of both physical and mental, perpetrated by wickedness.
Sadly, the only way some will believe is when it comes knocking at your door, or that of one you love.
    Enough is enough.

“Sir, you must stop this, and I will not name you.”

I’m not taken in by your emotive “holier-than-thou” attitude, Leonie. And I have not attacked anyone. But you’re now attacking me.

If you think that the kind of extremist language that equates what we endured during the pandemic with the actual cruelty endured by someone like Julian Assange, then your comment, like the article, is a gross insult to him and to anyone who has been similarly treated.

And as I said before, it’s an even worse insult to our Christian brothers and sisters living under real persecution, including the possibility of martyrdom.

You also make the ridiculous claim that everything that occurred over that time was “perpetrated by wickedness”, which is an insult to the many honest men and women who are in positions of authority with the intention to serve.

As for those you say are suffering physically, the facts are that there are far more suffering from the consequences of COVID infection, and far worse, than the few who suffered adverse effects from the vaccine.

For example, I’m sure you’re aware that the most frequent of those was myopericarditis in young me from the 2nd vaccination, which was roughly 25 per 100,000. That means about 650 young men in Australia had in most cases a mild and self correcting case.

But that pales into insignificance when you look at the massive increase in deaths from heart attack attributed to the virus, not to mention countless thousands of “Long COVID” sufferers with significant and potentially life altering or life shortening damage to various bodily organs.

So please, if you’re not willing or able to respond to the actual content of what I wrote, then don’t insult me with your fake moral outrage.

Leonie, thank you. My time in the city last Saturday, was a most profound time. I believe I grew a lot, rubbing shoulders (not literally) with so many I would not normally meet. The event took me out of my comfort zone for sure. It has inspired me, again, to see the value of real communication in community, the digital is no substitute.

Thank you for this article and helping to draw people’s attention to these fine people. I attended the last one but was unable to this particular weekend so am heartened to hear that another 5000 are keeping fire of freedom alive.

Can anyone explain Russian flags there? Surely Russian aggresion against Ukraine and the resulting ban of Russian state symbols in many countries should not lead to the perverted sense of “freedom to the Russian flag!” – those who listen to Putin know how artfully he can mix the war victories in WW2 and justify Bucha. Would like to know how “Free Julian Assange!” happened to be next to the Russian flag. thanks.

    • Jim Twelves 24 May 2023 at 10:52 am - Reply

Olena, thank you, a most interesting question indeed. I will not pretend to have ‘the right answer’ but here is my perspective.
I know of no war in history that was not fought primarily on the back of propaganda. Its quite natural, understandable and perhaps justifiable as each side is trying to save its people. For months now, I have found ‘holes’ in the narrative about the Ukraine war. Things have not added up. The mainstream media ‘paint Russia’ as the bad guy and Ukraine as the ‘victim’. I have been convinced for ages that this is too simplistic a view. What was a key tipping point for me was the post on the Daily Declaration about the Russian men seeking to evade conscription, Lost Boys from the Ukraine war https://dailydeclaration.org.au/2023/01/26/lost-boys-from-the-ukraine-war/
The ‘Russians’ were not given any platform time at the rally but neither was there any animosity for them or their flags. My attitude was that their flag bearers were representing the Russian tragedy of war and had as much place to be there as anyone else. Hope this helps a bit.

The dead cannot now complain. But it is the ultimate cruel lie to shift the deadly story from “keeping you safe & protected” to now blaming Australia’s huge death rate increase on the coovy and not the jab. These players are scared and will not admit that they were supporting madness. I understand and feel sorry for those who have made the “story switch” in the cause of all the death & damage, because if you do not, then your integrity is in tatters. But humility comes before honour and pride comes before a fall. (FYI. 190000 dead in 2022, 172000 dead in 2021. Source ABS.)

Kim, you seem to dismiss those harmed or killed by the vaccine as being less tragic as fewer in number, than those harmed or killed by covid . the implication being that its better to risk the vax than risk covid. unfortunately 15 million vaccinated australians have now jhad covid. so why were employers forcing healthy oung people to risk a mostly mild, self limiting, sometimes fatal case of vax induced myocarditis? (especially fatal where symptoms are dismissed as anxiety and the sufferer ridiculed as an anti vaxer) if only the vaccine were safe and effective at stopping infection and transmission , sigh.

    • Kim Beazley 12 June 2023 at 9:58 am - Reply

I’m not dismissing anything at all. Out of over 65 million vaccinations in Australia there have been 14 deaths linked to the vaccines, and none for the best part of a year. Compared to that, we’ve had over 21,000 die from/with COVID.

“15 million vaccinated australians have now jhad covid.”

      It’s actually 11.6 million.

As for employers “forcing healthy young people” to get vaccinated, although I’m not personally convinced that mandates and lockdowns were the best options, it’s hard to argue with the statistics. Prior to most restrictions being lifted at Christmas 2021, we’d had just under 300,000 cases, which has now ballooned to 11.6 million. So in 18 months we’ve had 38 TIMES the number of cases as in the first two years.

The same applies to deaths. At Christmas 2021 there had been 2,300, while today that figure is 21.250, 9 TIMES the deaths in 18 months compared to the first two years.

So on those figures you cannot say that the lockdowns failed. You have to find a better option some other way.

And when you compare 38 times the number of cases to 9 times the number of deaths, that’s actually a nearly 80% improvement in the fatality rate, which points straight to the vaccines being effective, as that’s from the time we reached over 90% vaccinated.

As for your claim that there were deaths from vaccine induced myocarditis, nothing could be further from the truth. As https://www.health.gov.au/health-alerts/covid-19/weekly-reporting aligns with a mountain of research from around the world, we know these figures to be spot on:

“We are carefully monitoring and reviewing reports of myocarditis and pericarditis (inflammation of the heart or membrane around the heart) following vaccination. These are usually temporary conditions, with most people getting better within a few days.

Myocarditis is a known but very rare side effect of the mRNA vaccines. It is reported in around 1-2 in every 100,000 people who receive Comirnaty (Pfizer) and around 2 in every 100,000 of those who receive Spikevax (Moderna). It occurs in males and females but is more common after the second dose in boys aged 12-17 years (13 cases per 100,000 Comirnaty doses and 24 cases per 100,000 Spikevax doses) and men under 30 (9 cases per 100,000 Comirnaty doses and 20 cases per 100,000 Spikevax doses).”

So, let’s put that in perspective. Think of a sellout crowd at the AFL Grand Final at the MCG, where you might find two guys sharing a drink while they compare notes on their mild and self correcting myocarditis from the vaccine! Two guys out of a crowd of 100,000!

“if only the vaccine were safe and effective at stopping infection and transmission , sigh.”

As I’ve shown, it is as safe and effective as any other medication, as there has never been a medication in history that didn’t come with some side effects, some even leading to death. In fact, the contraceptive pill has far more serious side effects and a far higher frequency, than these vaccines. And more people are actually killed by their seat belts every year. But I’m sure you won’t be protesting in the streets about their dangers!

And there’s also never been a medication that stopped transmission 100%. That’s why it’s never tested for in the trials. You cannot test that until after it’s in use. And its high rate of effectiveness at stopping infection is a matter of public record.

So, as I said, I dismissed nothing in relation to deaths from the vaccines. But you dismiss every single fact relating to the whole issue. You’re the one living in denial, not me!

The russian flags at the ‘Rally for Freedom’ May 2023 were mostly organised by Simeon Boikov, he was the main organiser of the whole event. Film footage was used to convey a pre-determined story to the russsian audience via RF approved media outlets.

Australians realised a while ago that rallies organised by Boikov are designed to be pro putin and pro russia rallies. That’s one reason the numbers are dwindling each time.

When Boikov says it’s a rally about neutrality, it’s not, it’s Boikov (and the people he works with) creating another publicity event with a message to the Prime minister of Australia – to stop supporting Ukraine, to stop sending military aid to Ukraine, to stop supporting Ukrainian Displaced Persons in Australia.
    PSY OPS
Boikov then edits the footage to make it appear the crowds all support putin and russia and are angry and disatisfied with the Gov’t of Australia, en masse. He adds music to create excitement, patriotism or pathos, whatever suits his message.
Boikov is the son of a russian orthodox priest, his uncle is an orthodox priest, he’s learnt how to draw in followers and work a crowd. He’s got a broad knowledge in many areas, speaks with the gift of the gab and will argue anything. Along with two other men and a woman filming, he harassed two women attending Ukrainian Church in Lidmore, NSW. The younger woman was helping the older woman – who had the strength to tell them off. Then they called out to the priest who walked over to see what was happening, the three men weren’t being friendly, I can’t really describe it as the camera didn’t capture all the dialogue. The film is on the www, publicly available.

Boikov also uses these events, the event and the publicity before and after, to promote and sell his wares.
He sells clothes and other merchanside emblazened with the WAGNER and ‘Z’ insignia.. ‘Z’ denotes support for putin and russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it’s illegal to display the ‘Z’ in many countries, just as there is a ban on the nazi swastika.
A man who helps organise and run these rallies is Artem Kozmin, he appears in photos of the event in the crowd, and on the stage with the men who spoke on stage. He’s the one wearing a black T-Shirt from the ‘Aussie Cossack’ shop, with the ‘Z’ printed in white on the front.

Did you notice the men holding russian flags on each side of the stage, or behind and near the speakers – so the camera would capure them? Was it any of them who gave the quotes from the bible?

In December 2022, Boikov chose to live at the russia consulate in Sydney to avoid the Law. In February 2923, he was convicted in absentia with assault
