Adelaide-based pop artist LILLI has been named Australian Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2026 People’s Choice Awards, capping a landmark year of chart success, her debut album Anthropology and songwriting work in Nashville. The South Australian Christian artist was one of three finalists represented by Adelaide independent label Australian Christian Records.

She didn't mean to start a movement — she just got sick of waiting for one. Artist, radio host and Christian music industry insider Kate Westwood shares her heart looking beyond her music and behind Aus Music Showcase.

LILLI is changing the rules of independent Christian pop in Australia. At just 22, she has released her debut album "Anthropology" on the back of recognition from both Australia's Christian and secular scene, hitting a national #2 on the AMRAP national community radio charts for 'O Philosopher', and a finalist in last year's South Australian Music Awards for the pop category.

Storming the nation's secular music charts, Victor Claye is breaking new ground for independent Christian artists in Australia. With his new single 'I Have Decided' out on April 10, and a debut album dropping later this year, your 'Old Mate' DJ Paine catches up with Australia's hottest gospel hip-hop voice and hears the story behind Victor's unshakeable joy.
