
Like an Arsonist Putting Out His Own Fire
Like him or loathe him, Dan Andrews is quite the politician.
The Daniel Andrews government has paid $1.5 billion not to do things.
The Victorian Premier announced at the weekend that taxpayers would be slugged $380 million for cancelling the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
This is on top of the $1.1 billion taxpayers lost when the Andrews government came to office and tore up a contract for the East West Link road.
One and half billion dollars spent on nothing at all is quite the achievement.
Victorians have now paid for a road that doesn’t exist, and for an international sporting event that was never held.
For the life of me, I can’t work out why Victoria is dead broke!
