Australian Farmer Faces Jail for Upsetting a Mythical Serpent
The Progressive Left insists that Jesus doesn’t exist, God is a spaghetti monster, and Christians are stupid.
The Progressive Left also insists that the Dreamtime Rainbow Serpent must be respected as a sacred belief, and that anyone disrespecting the imaginary snake should be imprisoned.
It’s incredible how the Progressive Left picks and chooses, but conservatives are the bigots!
I wish I were exaggerating. But news this past week of a West Australian farmer facing jail for upsetting the Rainbow Serpent shows just how pagan our secular culture has become.
(Pro tip: Secularism always leads back to paganism)
Laughable
Tony Maddox’s mistake was to build a creek crossing on his property in the West Australian town of Toodyay without considering the impact it might have on spirits in the region.
Duh!
Maddox was charged by WA’s heritage department for a breach of the state’s Aboriginal Heritage Act.
The prosecution alleges he disrupted Waugul – a rainbow serpent central to mythology for Noongar people – by removing silt from the creek to build a crossing.heritage
If found guilty, the serpent disrupterer could spend up to nine months in jail and face fines of up to $20,000.
But wait. Riddle me this, West Australian Government … how exactly does one anger a mythical creature?
Can Maddox pay the fine using mythical money?
And how does anyone know the mythical snake spirit doesn’t like the creek crossing? Maybe the rainbow serpent is pro-development.
Dangerous Ground
If I were Maddox, I would argue that I had to build the crossing in order to help unicorns over the creek.
Otherwise, I would argue that God told me to build the crossing, and let the courts figure out which God had precedence.
Incidentally, why doesn’t the rainbow serpent appear anywhere near wind turbine developments? But I digress.
Evidently, JetStar is worried. They are careful to acknowledge the sky in which they fly, just in case they crash into the rainbow serpent.

The point is, Australia is now sliding into a new Dark Ages where good people can be jailed for upsetting imaginary animals.
And while we are debating the preferences of rainbow serpents, Russia is putting a nuclear weapon into space. Tell me things are going well.
In addition, the whole voodoo charade is entirely self-defeating. Stunts like this only harden attitudes toward indigenous people, making recognition in the Constitution even less likely.

When a woman who'd written a bestseller for women called to ask for help reaching men, my first instinct was caution. But Dawn Williams is offering men something powerful, and her upcoming book, "The Rebuilt Man", will help men rediscover the man they were created to be.

Your humour makes some very valid points. Well written. We would not believe it (like many other insane stories emerging), if it wasn’t known to be a fact. Hope the government takes notice!
What a racist, uneducated comment, if you knew anything about how old and ancient the Australian aboriginal culture goes back and the importance the land to the culture of these people you wouldn’t say such disgusting things. They have experienced one of the longest ongoing genocides and its still happening to this day. Bible bashers
