Watt Roberts Islamophobia

One Nation Senator Smeared as a Neo-Nazi for Grilling Labor’s Islamophobia-is-Racism Envoy

One Nation’s Malcolm Roberts is defying critics who tried to characterise his opposition to Sharia Law as “racism.”

The senator for Queensland was gaslit after calling out the Islamic totalitarian law in a Senate Estimates hearing on 2nd December.

During the hearing, Roberts asked Aftab Malik, Labor’s “envoy to combat [so-called] Islamophobia,” why there were gaps in his 60-page report: A national response to Islamophobia.

That report, Roberts pointed out, “does not mention that Sharia law — should it be allowed in Australia — would replace Australian law, Australian courts, police, and governance.”

“How can you,” he added, “talk about opposition to Islam without addressing the elephant in the room: Sharia law?”

Islamophobia Envoy Defends Sharia Law

Answering Roberts, Malik dismissed the concern, saying he “didn’t believe Sharia law was an elephant in the room.”

The envoy’s role is not to discuss the behaviour, pattern, and impact of Sharia on civil liberties.

The role, Malik stated, is to report on the [presumed] oppression of Muslims in Australia, not on how Islam would be oppressive to the majority of Australians.

Ironically, Malik, a Muslim speaking from a position of power, effectively claimed Muslims were being systematically oppressed in Australia.

In his reply, Malik defended Sharia law. He strongly implied that critics (and by extension, that includes Sharia’s victims) were the problem, not the law itself.

For Malik, criticism of Sharia is either misconstrued or misunderstood. He then welcomed the opportunity to sell Sharia to Australians on a national platform.

Confusing Religion and Racism

Noting that Malik’s report did not define “Islamophobia,” Roberts continued grilling Labor’s “Islamophobia-is-racism” boss.

“The report does not include a definition of ‘Islamophobia,’ Roberts stated, “and yet it makes more than 50 recommendations to solve something the report doesn’t define.”

“How can you call for extensive legislation and a large bureaucracy to combat something you can’t or don’t define?” Roberts asked.

Malik deflected.

He defined “Islamophobia” as racism, while stating there was no agreed-upon definition.

Malik asserted that, while no consensus about the definition of “Islamophobia” existed, there was no disagreement about the “impacts of this prejudice or hatred or racism.”

His own report declares as much: Page 11 states that “Islamophobia has a deep correlation with racism.”

Notably, the word racism is mentioned 46 times in the body of Malik’s report and 15 times in the sources.

Anti-racism is mentioned 20 times, with the term Islamophobia winning the overall top spot of 270 mentions.

“Associating with Neo-Nazis and Other Extremists”: Senator Murray Watts

Concluding, Roberts shifted his questioning to Labor Party Senator and Minister for Agriculture, Murray Watts.

There, Roberts said Malik’s report seemed to conflate legitimate concerns about Islam with racism.

Put simply, the report seemed to use “Islamophobia” as a tool to gaslight critics.

“It seems,” Roberts aptly observed, that Malik was “simply redefining a factual, logical, and genuine concern about Islamic terrorism as Islamophobia.”

Directing his questions towards Labor, Roberts asked Watts,

“How would measures designed to combat Islamophobia differ from measures to combat antisemitism or the growing anti-Christian hate coming from the hard left?”

“Surely the words and actions directed to one group or the other would not differ in their legal implications?”

Hostile, Watts fired back, saying he wasn’t up to date with the report.

Here he implied that Islamophobia was as rampant as anti-Christian bias, and Jew hate war fever.

Issuing what seemed like a veiled threat, Watts shockingly accused One Nation of being Islamophobic, and “encouraged the party to think very carefully about the sorts of questions and statements they make.”

Especially, Watts said, “at a time when we are seeing social cohesion under threat.”

Discounting Roberts’ concerns, the Labor Minister accused One Nation of actively participating in destabilising social cohesion. He also accused Roberts of “associating with Neo-Nazis and other extremists.”

Roberts rejected the accusation, stating, “I’m pro-Australia. I do not associate with Neo-Nazis.”

It’s worth noting that Roberts also asked Malik how much the report on Islamophobia cost and what the envoy’s annual budget is.

Replying, Malik appeared to dodge the question.

Leaving out the all-important tax dollars and cents, Malik said the government-approved “Islamophobia-is-racism” office will have 5 full-time staff.

Unsurprisingly, two of the full-time staff members will come from Tony Burke’s Home Affairs office.

Contrary to Senator Watts’ statements, One Nation’s bold line of questioning stands as a firm and viable “no” to an inevitable sectarianism that will rip apart the social fabric of Australian society, civics, and government.

Legitimate Links Between Islam and Terrorism Ignored

As multiple examples from across the “Muslim world” attest, only those with an agenda would dismiss genuine concerns about Islam as a mental illness.

Additionally, the gaslighting discounts real-world warnings about Islam.

Such as those given to the Australian Senate by ASIO Director-General, Mike Burgess.

“Malik’s report does not mention ISIS or Al Qaeda,” Roberts remarked.

“Nor does it mention that the latest briefing provided to the Senate Burgess’ briefing “showed that 25 of Australia’s 29 prescribed terrorist organisations are Islamic-based organisations.”

Ultimately, the dawn of the sectarian age in Australia is an avoidable tragedy.

Yet, despite the desperate pleas to stop, look and listen, Australia’s bureaucratic caste continues to pump sectarianism into the veins of Australia’s way of life.

Their chosen Trojan is multiculturalism, mass immigration and mass misinformation.

All sanctioned by the current Labor government in an apparent quid pro quo exchange for fanatical, lifelong Labor voters.

“Islamophobia” isn’t racism.

To quote Ayaan Hirsi Ali, this is because no such phobia exists.

Kudos to senator Roberts! The problem relates to Labor’s short term vision regarding gaining the Muslim vote, only to have Islam/Muslims chew Labor up, and spit it out, in years to come. The evidence is in plain sight of the radical take over of England and parts of Europe. (I don’t expect labor people to have read up on 1400 years of consistent Islamic murder, enslavement and oppression accross the earth.) Clearly when push comes to shove, our NSW Police Force will bow to the Labour government’s support of Islam, as we saw on that never to be forgotten Islamic anti -semitic march on the Opera House, with hundreds of police (ordered to cowardly) stand by in silence.

Murray Watt’s accusations against One Nation is all he has. To go down any other avenue would fail to reinforce his premise that if you cannot condone Radical Islam and Sharia as being anything other than incompatible with Western values, you are indeed Islamaphobic and racist.
    His circular argument goes on.
