Day 23: Catch the Wave
Intention
That we might catch the wave of revival as it comes to our nation!
Scripture
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”
— Isaiah 43:19
Reflection
Earlier this year, I was reading Isaiah 43:19 and something stood out to me I hadn’t noticed previously. It was the question: Do you not perceive it? This got me thinking: is it possible to miss the new thing that God is doing? I started to think about a move of God like a wave and God gave me these three P’s to ponder.
Perceive: Surfers have to perceive there is going to be a wave. Whether you heard about it, saw a picture, watched a video, or read a surf report, you perceive the wave and believe it’s coming, which ignites excitement in you to catch it.
Position: Once you perceive there is going to be a wave, you position yourself where you believe it is going to come. You leave the house, go to the beach, and get in the water where you believe the wave is going to break.
Paddle: Once you are in the water and see the wave coming, you start paddling so that you have enough momentum when the wave comes to catch it.
There is a move of God and a mighty wave of revival coming to our nation. But I also see many smaller waves building up into the bigger wave, and I pray daily that God would give me eyes and ears to perceive the wave, position myself, and know when to paddle.
The Lord also gave me three keys to catching the wave.
Purity: Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God”, and I believe this is a key to seeing what God is doing, He doesn’t share His secrets with strangers.
Humility: We must be humble to position ourselves where God is calling us to be, lay down our lives, get out of our comfort zones, and go where He sends us.
Yieldedness: There is a moment when the wave comes and you can feel the power of the wave start to carry you. At this moment, you need to be yielded, surrendered and let the wave take you.
God is always moving. He is always up to something; His signature move is turning what the enemy meant for evil into good. After everything that has happened over the last few years, I believe our nation is primed for revival. There is a massive wave on the horizon, and we are already starting to see some of the smaller waves preceding the big one, preparing the way for the outpouring that has been prophesied and prayed for over the generations.
There is action involved. We get the privilege of participating in what God is doing in Australia. Do you perceive the wave? Have you positioned yourself? And are you ready to paddle?

Prayer
Lord, open our eyes and ears to perceive what You are doing in Australia. Thank You for raising a generation of righteous radicals, who are not waiting for a move. They are the move, a generation crying out, “Here we are, send us; set apart and set ablaze for Your glory, pure in heart, humble, and yielded to Your will.”
A generation marked by first-love-fire for Jesus and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. A generation who knows You, know their identity and authority in You and will make You known.
Get ready Great Southland; there’s a wave coming!
