Old Carp Holding a Dead Salmon Leaves Stunned Mullets
Sarah Hanson-Young waved a dead salmon around in the Australian Senate the day before yesterday. Which one of them do you think is on the nose?
Sure, the fish created a terrible stink, but not as bad as the Greens’ policies.
The area in which the Greens Senators sit is the only place in Australia where you can wave around a dead fish… and actually improve the smell of the place.
The child senator did create history with her stunt. It’s the first time most people have ever seen a salmon held aloft by a goose.
Or was it an old carp, holding a dead salmon, leaving stunned mullets?
Fishy Antics
The Senator wants to end Tasmania’s salmon farming industry. Which is weird. You’d think the Greens would have sympathy for salmon since they both like to swim in the wrong direction.
She was left floundering.
One senator reportedly asked: “Where did you win that?”
To which the salmon replied: “In a raffle.”
That’s not actually true. I just made that up. And I’ll be here all week.
But what I want to know is why the Senate is the only workplace in Australia where someone can pull these kinds of stunts. It’s a place where seemingly any fin can happen.
If you did this anywhere else, you’d be sacked on the spot.
The President of the Senate should have asked Sarah Hanson-Young to remove the unpleasantness from the chamber… and to take the salmon with her.
And these people could form a minority government with Labor. God help us.

At the end of your article you ask God to help us, James MacPherson.. I believe He does. Sadly though, the devil is ever at work and the voices of conservatives in our land are so scattered. There are so many small conservative parties vying for the votes of disaffected Liberal, National, Labor And Green voters. It’s too late now to save the approaching federal election. In this land where voting is compulsory, a strong Christian presence is essential in the major parties, especially the two that claim to be for the centre right.
