Day 26: Renew Me, Revive Me & Restore Me
Intention
God starts with us His Church as He Restores and Renews a Nation to prepare for Revival, Renewal and Reformation
Scripture
“Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And Renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your Ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.” (Psalm 51:10-13)
Reflection
We often think about those things that we have in our lives that separate us from God, and things that also divide our relationships with people and make us feel that we are not worthy enough.
Throughout my life, as I’ve journeyed as a child of God, His Love just overwhelms me. He has this way of revealing Himself to us that demonstrates His unconditional love.
King David had it all, and yet he was as flawed a human as you and me. We often wonder: “God, He was a man you referred to as a man after your own heart, and yet he stumbled and sinned.”
King David had the character trait of recognising that He was nothing without his God. He was able to humble himself, ask for forgiveness, lay down his heart before God and have it renewed.
Then the Spirit of God breathed upon him, revived him and brought him back to his first love.
God will surely answer our prayers and give us our desire, our desire for the Spirit of God to move and birth revival across our Great South Land of the Holy Spirit.
He has done it before, and He can do it again.
It’s the little things that matter most. It’s the little things that release all that God has for us.
The heart that can forgive, say sorry and recognise that restoration in relationships comes through humility.
“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now, I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.” (2 Chronicles 7:14-16)
Prayer
Lord, in this difficult time and season of uncertainty, we come before you as we search our hearts and lay them at your throne. We pray that you would breathe again your Spirit upon them.
Forgive us for neglecting you and, at times, forsaking you and looking to other things and people for reassurance and security. Help us, Lord, to keep our eyes fixed on you and to humble ourselves and seek Your face.
Heal and restore all that has been contended within this time and season of losses, grief and sorrow.
We know that you will turn it around for good and give back what the enemy has taken. Heal our hearts and renew our Land, our Seas, our Nation. We ask this as one in the Body of Christ, in Jesus name.
Amen

Robin Millhouse, the main architect of South Australia's abortion reform laws, expressed the burden he carried for being part of that reform. “I deeply regret that the medical profession — and the lawyers — interpreted the law too widely. It has become abortion on demand. I did not intend it to be that.”
