21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 9: The Life of a Child – God’s Gift and Reward
After God created woman, He told them to “be fruitful and multiply…” (Genesis 1:28b). And in Genesis 2:24, it states:
“Therefore man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.”
That is, the DNA of the male joining with the DNA of the female to become a new and wholly unique human being — the formation of a new life!
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.
~ Psalm 127:3 (NLT)
Scripture gives us insight into the spirit of a child in the womb being aware of the presence of another person nearby.
(After the angel Gabriel came to Mary to tell her she would be the mother of the Messiah.)
“Now Mary rose in those days
and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah,
and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. And it happened,
that when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary,
that the babe leaped in her womb;
and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. Then she spoke with a loud voice and said,
‘Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
But why is it granted to me,
that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears,
the babe leaped in my womb for joy.’”
~ Luke 1:39-44
This is an incredible insight into the massive importance each child in the womb carries — the child: spirit, soul and body, is fully alive and can discern and feel, even leap for joy! (Sometimes as the pregnancy proceeds, the leaping brings less joy to the mother as space becomes limited.)
The child also can feel physical pain and emotional distress, or whatever the mother is experiencing — even what is being released spiritually into the atmosphere, such as a spirit of fear. Anointed music played can increase wellbeing and relaxation.
Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
Who does not change like shifting shadows.
~ James 1:17 (NIV)
As we pray today, we are hearing the very heartbeat of our heavenly Father’s heart for life!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every good and perfect gift of life in the womb!
Lord, we ask a special blessing on families who have been given a traumatic diagnosis about their unborn child. Today we wrap them in Your perfect love. Lord, may Your wisdom and courage guide them.
We ask for healing miracles in the womb, and that negative reports be turned miraculously into reports of healthy strong children, with powerful testimonies to the healing love of Your wounds, Yeshua. (1 Peter 2:24)
Lord, we ask that there be a great awakening in the people of Australia to push back the number of abortions and encourage life to be given to little ones that are at risk!
Holy Spirit, we invite You to flood the mothers and fathers to be, with Your love and divine heavenly counsel that provides a way to overcome every obstacle.
We bless every womb in Australia to be fruitful and multiply, and bring forth the next generation with joy! In Jesus Christ, Yeshua’s powerful and redeeming Name, Amen.
Watch:
Worship:
Holy Communion:
There is healing of our bodies, souls and spirits in the bread and wine; we discern it today as we partake in Holy Communion, in remembrance of what Jesus did on the cross.
“He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin and live what is right.
By His wounds, you are healed.”
~ 1 Peter 2:24
Acts of Repentance:
Today ask the Lord to give you His heart of love toward someone who you know who has had an abortion. Go deep with forgiveness, then find a way to bring encouragement to that person — take them out for a cuppa or send them a text, or look for a way to bless them without even speaking of the abortion. Let Jesus fill your heart with forgiveness and His perfect love to bless that person or couple.
Prayer Points:
- Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade — There is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
- Pray that the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable. Book Your Free Tickets for the Walk — bring your family and friends!
- Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
- That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
- That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.
May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

We need to talk about the situation in Tasmania and how we desperately need prayer. The Greens have introduced a “Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill” into the Tasmanian Parliament that will have devastating ramifications for Christians, parents, and all those who, of their own volition, want to break with the current cultural state-sanctioned morality.

We don't talk about social atomisation, do we? Most of us would be hard pressed to define it. Yet it is reshaping our society in ways we barely acknowledge — fragmenting our communities, eroding our connections, and leaving us isolated in the midst of billions.

In countries with voluntary organ donation systems, patients wait months or years for a transplant. In China, hospitals guarantee matching organs within weeks. That statistical impossibility reveals a horrifying truth: China operates an industrial-scale organ harvesting operation — with the tacit complicity of the Western world.
