21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 10: Choose Life
“Today I have given you
the choice between life and death,
between blessings and curses.
Now I call on heaven and earth
to witness the choice you make.
Oh, that you would choose life,
so that you and your descendants might live!
You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God,
obeying Him, and committing yourself firmly to Him.
This is the key to your life.
And if you love and obey the Lord,
you will live long in the land
the Lord swore to give your ancestors
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
~ Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (NLT)
The Lord is constantly asking every generation to choose. He gives everyone the freedom to make their own choices. He is nothing like the enemy, whose only purpose is spoken of plainly by Jesus:
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy.
My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
~ John 10:10 (TPT)
We hear a lot about pro-choice and a woman’s choice, but the truth about post-abortion grief and the dangers of infertility and mental torment often only become apparent when it’s too late and an abortion has been chosen and completed.
Then the same ones who offered the woman this choice will begin shaming them about ‘not being able to cope’, even on government ‘women’s health’ websites. Shame is put on the woman who asserted her “rights” and now she finds herself bereft of joy and purpose — she has no place to find the peace and freedom from the effects of the “quick fix” of abortion that was presented to her.
Her partner also feels powerless to help — he was scared too, wanted to support her ‘choice’, and believed the lies so readily available that abortion is the answer to ‘a mistake.’ Even young men doing their own ‘online’ research feed on the same misleading narrative that is presented to the woman.
We are all invited to be under the New Covenant that was cut by Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross. Those who come to Him and ask for mercy find His own blood washes away all the guilt, shame and sets everyone completely free — it is often a process, not a quick fix.
Those who go deeper in relationship with the Lover of their souls will find all they need in Him. This is a gift available to all humanity, and He denies no one. We get to choose to embrace Him and a rich and satisfying life, or reject Him and suffer the consequences of our choices.
Some women have taken the first of the two abortion pills (Medical Abortion) in a clinic to find immediately they are hit by a tidal wave of horror over what they have just done. Very few have found a doctor who can medicate with progesterone, reversing the abortion pill and saving their baby. It may be hard to find a doctor to help them. This alarm bell in their heart is often pushed aside, forcing themselves to keep going ahead with the procedure. Later, they spend the rest of their days in a measure of deep sorrow, shame and regret.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God of freedom.
We get to choose life in You, and the freedom and joy to serve You all our days, by choice, out of love.
Lord, we ask for mercy for all who have chosen death and not life for their child.
We ask for grace to help all humanity to recognise You, Lord Jesus as Saviour
— the One who gives abundant pardon and freedom to live an abundant life.
We ask, Father, forgive all those in our families who have chosen to abort our brother, sister, grandchild, cousin or friend. Lord, send Your truth and light to guide all those who have aborted or are planning to abort — that they may know fully every aspect and perspective of their choice and be informed of all the consequences of their choices.
Lord, send Your living water to wash our education facilities, the internet and our minds from the lies of the enemy whose only purpose is to kill steal and destroy lives. Let those researching what to do when finding they are faced with an unplanned pregnancy find pages and help that promotes life and life-saving options for every human being.
Thank You for the power of Your love that chose us all to be with You forever. May we all, in love, choose life in You! In the Name above every name, Jesus Christ, Yeshua our King, we pray, Amen.
Worship:
Holy Communion:
Today we celebrate the power of the Blood of the Lamb to overcome and defeat the enemy.
“And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.”
~ Revelation 12:11 (TPT)
Acts of Repentance:
Become informed about the reversal of the abortion pill option that is available worldwide.
Read: Abortion Pill Reversal — Success Stories. Save their number to your phone in case you ever need to share it with someone who might desire to choose life. Ask God to give you an opportunity to speak to someone about the reversal pill option — maybe pray into it more with others in your church life group; be prepared to flow in love, as it may unmask some perspectives and issues to pray through.
Prayer Points:
- Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade — There is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
- Pray that the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable. Book Your Free Tickets for the Walk — bring your family and friends!
- Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
- That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
- That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.
May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

In the ancient Americas, cultures now considered to be highly influential and civilised saw human sacrifice as a necessary part of everyday life. Today, we are told that society is progressive and civilised because women’s "reproductive rights" and bodily autonomy are both supported.
