21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 11: Every Life Matters
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness;
for we do not know how to pray as we should,
but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us
with groanings too deep for words;
and He who searches the hearts
knows what the mind of the Spirit is,
because He intercedes for the saints
according to the will of God.
~ Romans 8:26-27
When We Don’t Know How to Pray
A teenage couple told a young woman (a follower of Jesus) that they were about to go and have an abortion. The young woman pleaded with them not to do it, but could not convince them to change their minds. They went to have the termination.
The Christian woman (pregnant herself) was very distraught. At her women’s Bible study group that same day, she sat in silent pain over this, then at the end shared her concerns, not knowing how to deal with this situation. None of them knew what they should do, they did not even know if the abortion had already taken place.
One of the women read Romans 8:26-27. All the women agreed to pray, some in tongues, which was new to most of them. All prayed from their hearts in full agreement for the Lord to rescue the child and help the young couple. They prayed until peace came — they had no idea what would happen.
Later that day, the teenage couple told the young woman they had decided not to abort, but to keep the child. They said after they had seen the doctor, they sat in the waiting room for a very long time, thinking the doctors had forgotten them. Then, not knowing why, they decided not to go ahead with the abortion (it would have been their second abortion) — they got up and left the clinic, kept and raised the child: a beautiful girl.
We don’t often know the impact of our intercession together with Jesus’ and the Holy Spirit’s intercession (Isaiah 53:12 & Romans 8:27). As He did it for one, He will do it for thousands, and for tens of thousands — our intercession can have specific impact in Australia and the nations to rescue the unborn from certain death.
Worship:
Holy Communion:
As we commune with our Lord today, we are aware of our part in the oneness with all believers and our place in Christ.
“For when we pray for the blessing of the communion cup,
isn’t this our co-participation with the blood of Jesus?
And the bread that we distribute,
isn’t this the bread of our co-participation with the body of Christ?”
~ 1 Corinthians 10:16
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your great mercy.
You are so magnificent and so mighty, yet You do not forget even one.
Jesus, You taught us to be willing to leave the ninety-nine to rescue the one.
Lord, may Your people all over this nation
have Your grace to help today to reach out to the one.
May we seek and save the lost, may we intercede with sighs,
groans and tears in accordance with Your heart.
Lord, when we don’t know how to pray, Holy Spirit, please pray through us.
Today Lord, we Your people lay down all judgement
and forgive those who have aborted their children.
Lord, grant us wisdom, focus, mercy and help,
and to find Your pleasing perfect will
to intercede to turn the tide in Australia on abortion.
We thank and praise You for all You have done,
are doing and are yet to do.
In the name above all names, Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua. Amen.
Act of Repentance:
Search out an abortion “clinic” in your area (it may be your doctor’s office or local hospital), and go and sit nearby. Release the love of Yeshua, Jesus Christ, into the atmosphere there (it flows out of your worshipping heart without words). See in your godly imagination women changing their minds about aborting today.
“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for;
it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”
~ Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)
*If you are praying by law in most states and territories, tragically we must stay outside the 150 m exclusion zones that prohibit prayer (even silent prayer) and interaction about abortion.
Prayer Points:
- Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade — There is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
- Pray that the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable.
Book Your Free Tickets for the Walk — bring your family and friends! - Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
- That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
- That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.
May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

We need to talk about the situation in Tasmania and how we desperately need prayer. The Greens have introduced a “Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill” into the Tasmanian Parliament that will have devastating ramifications for Christians, parents, and all those who, of their own volition, want to break with the current cultural state-sanctioned morality.

We don't talk about social atomisation, do we? Most of us would be hard pressed to define it. Yet it is reshaping our society in ways we barely acknowledge — fragmenting our communities, eroding our connections, and leaving us isolated in the midst of billions.

In countries with voluntary organ donation systems, patients wait months or years for a transplant. In China, hospitals guarantee matching organs within weeks. That statistical impossibility reveals a horrifying truth: China operates an industrial-scale organ harvesting operation — with the tacit complicity of the Western world.
