21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 13: Life Union with Jesus
It was prophesied about Jesus:
“A new Branch bearing fruit from the old root.
2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3 He will delight in obeying the Lord.
He will not judge by appearance
nor make a decision based on hearsay.
4 He will give justice to the poor
and make fair decisions for the exploited.
The earth will shake at the force of His word,
and one breath from His mouth will destroy the wicked.
5 He will wear righteousness like a belt
and truth like an undergarment.”
~ Isaiah 11:1-5 (NLT)
Everything that was upon Jesus as He walked on earth is in us by His Spirit.
We too must bear fruit by living our lives together with the Spirit of the Lord:
The Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding, The Spirit of Counsel and Might,
The Spirit of Knowledge and Fear of the Lord —
Jesus demonstrated this as He walked on the earth.
We are told:
“… to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
~ Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)
We need the power of His might to overcome our enemies and bring about an end to abortion. The earth will shake at the force of His word — He is looking for His Ekklesia to act as His ambassadors, giving justice to the poor and making fair decisions for the exploited.
Abortion worldwide has become a big business, and even the workers in these places are often unaware of the actual business in which they are involved.
The suppression of the truth that needs to be heard by a frightened woman, facing an unplanned pregnancy, is replaced by a narrative that pushes an agenda of death.
Our prayers are mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. We need to have the fullness of the Holy Spirit operational through us, and to walk humbly with the Lord, to be listening to His counsel, obedient to what He says — this is available only to those who abide in Him.
“But if you live in life-union with Me
and if My words live powerfully within you—
then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.”
~ John 15:7 (TPT)
This is an invitation to all believers to abide. Jesus is one with the Father and invites us to be one with Him.
“I am the sprouting vine and you’re My branches.
As you live in union with Me as your source,
fruitfulness will stream from within you—
but when you live separated from Me you are powerless.”
~ John 15:5 (TPT)
We want to flow in life-giving, world-changing powerful intercession.
Abiding in Him is loving what He loves and hating what he hates.
As we take communion, fasting and praying, seeking the Lord’s face and favour, we are entwined with His heart and His desires.
He placed within us a passion to stop abortion — we carry His indignation at the abomination of all abortion in Australia and the nations.
As we live in union with the Lord and His words live powerfully in us, we are able to speak His words powerfully full of faith, because we know our God.
Worship:
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
as the battle rages in the nations over the lives of the unborn, we choose to abide in You.
We draw from Your words that live powerfully in us.
May Your word go forth through the voices of Your people in unity
and defeat the enemy’s destruction through abortion.
We ask for intervention to come now,
and the voices that have the power to reveal the truth to be courageous,
and for Your truth to be heard.
May policy shift to protect the unborn.
Thank You for the faith You have placed in Your people to move this mountain.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Yeshua, Amen.
Holy Communion:
In gratitude and humility, remember all Jesus has done for us, and rest in His abiding presence.
“But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off
have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
~ Ephesians 2:13
Acts of Repentance:
Today, give up something and spend that extra time with the Lover of our souls in deep abiding worship and listening. Be blessed to hear His voice.
Prayer Points:
- Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade — There is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
- Pray that the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable. Book Your Free Tickets for the Walk — bring your family and friends!
- Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
- That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
- That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.
May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
