21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 19: Times, Seasons in Light
And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding.
He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.
~ Daniel 2:21-22 (NKJV)
Our God knows what is in the darkness,
nothing is hidden from Him.
The secret motivations and intentions of the heart
are known, seen and weighed by God.
He is watching all the movements on the earth.
He sees into those who are positioned to rule.
He sees those who are oppressive in their rule —
those who operate in unrighteousness,
and He sees the people groaning under such rule —
these rulers even sentence the innocent to death through their decisions.
In the way of righteousness is life,
and in its pathway there is no death.
~ Proverbs 12:28 (NJKV)When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
~ Proverbs 29:2 (NKJV)
The Lord is shaking and revealing deep and secret things in the earth —
evil ways that are incomprehensible to many are being exposed.
These are times that we must stay close to the Lord
and dwell in the light of His presence and the light of His Word.
The removal of kings and raising up of kings is happening now
in both the spirit realm and the natural.
We can only find rest and peace
in our intimate relationship with the Lord
that we have built on the ‘Rock’ of trust,
as we acknowledge Him in all our ways.
Abortion has been legalised in Australia for fifty-two years —
the killing of innocent lives has become acceptable, normal, unquestioned,
and has now become a forceful ideology,
yet the human conscience cannot ignore this grave injustice against our most vulnerable.
Abortions changed from being rare occurrences to ‘the thing to do.’
In one year, the adoptions in South Australia dropped from thousands to less than ten —
women were choosing to abort rather than give their babies life through adoption.
The law was interpreted too widely and opened up the blood-gates of abortion-on-demand throughout Australia.
Attorney-General Robin Millhouse, architect of the radical abortion reform laws in South Australia, said,
“I deeply regret that the medical profession — and the lawyers — interpreted the law too widely… I did not intend it to be that. The best thing was to leave individual cases to the judgement of the medical professional. We have got abortion on demand; I have taken the rap for it. It is something I regret.”
(A repentant and forgiven Robin Millhouse in an interview with Rex Jory in SA Weekend 2014.)
Where we are now in Australia?
One in four Australian women will have an abortion —
one-quarter of all pregnancies are terminated —
80,000 to 100,000 abortions are performed annually,
and abortion is the leading cause of death in Australia and worldwide.
As we stand on behalf of the unborn,
we must realise that abortion is a war
and that through the grace of God,
we have many battles to win.
So stand strong in the Lord
and the power of His might
— Victory is ours.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, our holy Lord,
Today we join with the late Robin Milhouse
in regret over what our nation has done for the past fifty-two years.
We humble ourselves again before Your throne of grace
and receive the mercy that You promise.
Lord, we ask for all the injustices of decisions made by the rulers of Australia
to be addressed now as You shake and shift kings in this season.
Lord, we thank You that there are many positioned
like Daniel, Joseph and Queen Esther
who will be raised up in these days
and be of great influence and direct the decisions for our nation
toward life and justice for the unborn.
Lord, sweep through our nation with a Tsunami of Your Living Water
to cleanse our land of those things built on the shifting sands of popular culture,
that are death and destruction to families through abortion.
We receive the grace to help our nation today
through the blood of the Lamb Who was slain.
We lift You up high over our land of Australia
and pray in the mighty Name of Yeshua, Jesus Christ our King, Amen.
Worship:
Holy Communion:
Be strengthened today as you commune with our glorious King.
“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.”
~ 1 Corinthians 11:26
Acts of Repentance:
We repent of every evil word of criticism today against our leaders.
We ask for a spirit of repentance to flood our nation — the precursor to revival.
Prayer Points:
- Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade — There is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
- Pray that the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable. Book Your Free Tickets for the Walk — bring your family and friends!
There will be prayer in Elder Park Rotunda at 6:30pm on 11th February the night before the Walk for Life. - Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
- That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
- That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.
May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

The Church must recognise that there are women and men among us with deep wounds from an abortion. The House of Refuge ministry means their suffering will be met with an embrace, so their journey of reconciliation can begin. God always brings hope.

Perhaps the Lord inserted the book of Esther, celebrated in the Feast of Purim, to show us that regardless of our backgrounds, He can use us. May we be a part of the answer in Australia so that antisemitism becomes unthinkable.
