21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 21: Strong Hope Arising

12 February 2022

4.1 MINS

This is the confidence we have in approaching God:
that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—
we know that we have what we asked of Him.
~ 1 John 5:14-15 (NIV)

So God has given both His promise and His oath.
These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie.
Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.
Jesus has already gone in there for us.
He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.
~ Hebrews 6:18-20 (NLT)

There is a strong spirit of hope rising as the body of Christ intercedes and is activated by faith to stand up for life in the womb to be protected.

At the Throne of Grace, under the headship of Jesus, our intercession, along with those interceding all around the world, is powerful to bring an end to abortion.

We are joined by the blood of the Lamb who was slain — that blood is still crying out Mercy; and by Jesus Who is our great High Priest, Who ever lives to intercede for us (Hebrews 7:25-26), and through the intercession of the Holy Spirit.

Our hope is in Jesus for the unborn. He is the anchor for our souls as we diligently seek Him for the lives of babies that might be aborted. We seek Him for all those caught in this web of evil — that they find the freedom only found in salvation through Him. We have hope in the day when the overturning of legalised abortion will reverberate like shockwaves across the nations as minds are freed and light opens the blind eyes to see the new and living way.

Rejoice in our confident hope.
Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.
~
Romans 12:12 (NLT)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank and praise You, for You are great and mighty.
Our confident hope is in You. Your ways are perfect and holy.

We look to you and persevere in prayer,
knowing that we are not alone,
but are praying according to Your heart
for the unborn to have life abundant —
that life that Jesus came to give to all.

Thank You that You hear all the prayers
and intercession for the end to abortion.
By faith, we are expecting to see the triumph You won over death
being established on behalf of the innocent in the womb.

Thank You for the diligence and faithfulness of Your people
to see this through without wavering.
Thank You for Your divine position as great High Priest —
we place our confidence in Your holiness and Your mercy.

Lord, rise and empower Your people to be ambassadors
of Your powerful presence, to eradicate every spirit of death
and destruction that wants to kill the generations
You are sending to the earth.

We stand strong in You, Lord, and the power of Your might.
We walk in the light and we see Your mighty victory in our days.
We bow before You and say Worthy is the Lamb
to receive all glory and honour and wisdom and wealth and power!
We bless Your holy name and lift You high today!
In Jesus, Yeshua’s wonderful Name, Amen.

Worship:

Holy Communion:

Let us be thankful that Jesus humbled Himself and came to offer Himself as a sacrifice for all.

Therefore, it was necessary for Him
to be made in every respect like us,
His brothers and sisters,
so that He could be our merciful
and faithful High Priest before God.
Then He could offer a sacrifice
that would take away the sins of the people.”
~
Hebrews 2:17 (NLT)

Prayer Points:

  • Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. WadeThere is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
  • Pray that the Love AdelaideWalk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable. Book Your Free Tickets for the Walk — bring your family and friends!
There will be prayer in Elder Park Rotunda at 6:30pm on 11th February the night before the Walk for Life.
  • Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
  • That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
  • That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.

May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.

‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
