An Election Win for Peter Dutton Rests on the LNP Ditching the Digital Dystopia
Anthony Albanese’s plans to correct the housing crisis are all smoke, no fire.
Ironic for the man who has labelled the opposition leader’s alternatives “a vibe, not a policy.”
Activist Albo’s comment looks twice as stupid when put alongside his recent purchase of two Boeing 737 business jets at a cost of $450 million.
Those requisitioned ADF funds will ferry Labor cabinet members from “climate crisis” photoshoots to “renewable energy” photo-ops.
Labor doesn’t seem to care about the “let them eat cake” optics, though.
To fight the largely imagined “climate crisis,” Labor will also be slugging SUV and hybrid car owners with a new — it’s not a tax, but it is — “climate-friendly” fuel efficiency “standard”.
As Sky News contributor Gemma Toginni remarked,
“Cost of living crisis says, hold my Prosecco…”

my Prosecco… https://t.co/Hh71OLkXHy— GemmaTognini (@GemmaTognini) May 19, 2024
Labor is delivering.
They’re just not delivering for the Australian people.
They’re doing what’s best for the Australian Labor Party.
Calculated Chaos
Key among a list of examples is former Labor PM Kevin Rudd’s cushy position in the United States as Labor’s Ambassador for Australia.
This was a party promotion that activist Albo dismissed in April 2022 as “misinformation.”
That was prior to the last election.
True to his undergrad socialist roots, Albo lied.
Once elected, he backflipped, then handed Kevin-07 the keys to one of Australia’s most important diplomatic posts.
Deploying the master of disaster to the United States is one example in a growing list of high-priced political theatre all teed up to transfer power from the people to the party.
Labor’s top five biggest theatrical flops?
- The divisive Voice.
- Climate alarmism.
- Political diversions that favour Western Sydney’s expanding Labor’s Islamic voting bloc.
- The hate-all-men fake “male violence crisis” they’re funding to the tune of $1 billion taxpayer simoleons.
- Attempting to suppress free speech by bullying billionaire Elon Musk.
- Pushing the myth of “right-wing extremism” as the biggest threat to democracy, while imported Islamists attack Israel, Jews, and Christians alike.
This is without unpacking the already well-documented mass immigration agenda and Labor’s quest for narrative control via mass censorship.
Every single one adds fuel to the costly legacy of lockdowns, that’s still gorging itself on Australian life, livelihood, and liberty.
Is the alternative any better?
Positive Policies
While the LNP still has to flush out the Labor-lite fifth column infiltrating its ranks, the opposition’s alternatives are pragmatic and people-friendly.
Peter Dutton circling the wagons, shows promise.
In a critique of the Albanese-Wong-Chalmers-Bowen socialist regime, Dutton said,
“After pledging a $275 reduction in power bills, cheaper mortgages and to make families better off,” Labor has instead overseen a quality of living downgrade.
In short, they’ve delivered squat.
Labor has used every scrap of culture war commotion available to them to divert, distract, and distance Australians away from giving Labor a mouthful of just disapproval.
Dutton’s assertions contained RBA concerns that inflation remains a runaway beast, best fought by slimming down Australia’s bloated bureaucracy.
‘”High inflation means higher interest rates,” he explained.
Dutton said his plan is to,
“rebalance immigration to alleviate pressure on the housing market; increase workforce participation.”
Included here is “support small businesses; more affordable energy; incentives for junior doctors; and boosting Defence and community safety.”
Define “community safety”?
Does Dutton mean increasing the powers of the eSafety Commission?
It’s this ambiguity that prompts the caveat: using promise to describe Dutton is generous.
Reduce and Revitalise
By far the biggest threat to Dutton isn’t Australians ignoring Albanese’s double standards.
The biggest threat is whether the opposition leader is willing to reduce government, revitalise freedom, and reform the Liberal Party.
Inflation is a government problem, not a failure of the free market.
To make housing more affordable, you need to open up more land while simultaneously closing down foreign ownership of residential housing, land, and farms.
The buzz phrase should be: deflation in order to fight inflation.
Reduce immigration — which isn’t keeping up with infrastructure.
Reduce the number of people on the government payroll.
Deflate the bureaucracy.
Begin with Canberra’s political class, the unnecessary eSafetyOffice and its Net Nanny eKarens.
Reduce taxes, without the sleight-of-hand replacing them with new ones.
Stop Canberra’s Clueless Morgans from funding virtue-signalling point-scoring programs like “Treaty” and “Voice” — as per the will of the Australian people.
Ultimately, though, the real threat to Dutton’s newfound libertarianesque political nous, is members like Victorian Liberal John Pessuto.
Justice for Moira Deeming MP and her family should have been, and should now be a priority for the LNP.
Pessutto’s inability to show some humility here compromises Dutton’s election momentum.
Restitution on this issue would go a long way towards restoring the Liberal Party’s character and credibility.
Family Freedom
Another opportunity for Dutton is a fresh political fight over parental rights.
Albanese wants to ban kids under 16 from using social media.
This is safetyism being used as a pretext for making Digital IDs compulsory.
As a former police officer, Dutton needs to loudly oppose it, and stand firm against any politician proposing the expansion of the police state.
That’s the real issue framing this subject.
It’s not the goal of life, light, and liberty-loving governments to substitute themselves for mum and dad.
Canberra needs to be asserting parental rights, not pushing to turn Australia back into a convict colony.
The role of government is subsidiary at best.
Respect responsible parenting. Inform parents about the dangers, and let families make well-informed decisions based on that information.
Anything more than this is overreach!

Love your perspective Rod. Thanks.
Thank you Rod for exposing all these incredibly serious matters and all that is at risk in Australia. The incredible amount of ‘untruths’ and ‘no comment’ or omissions, from our Prime Minister has been so evident. I didn’t realize he tried to cover up the post for Kevin Rudd, and then had to turn around and admit they employed him in a top overseas position after all (no doubt just a convenient slip of the memory).
I so agree that that the LNP leader John Pessuto should have admitted his guilt and re- instated Moira Deeming and compensated her. She was treated as a lamb to the slaughter, for no wrong doing at all but as she attended a rally where others gate-crashed and it was convenient to ‘pretend’ she had prior links to the gate crashers who was Nazi sympathizers and to falsely accuse her. Moira’s only so called ‘crime’ was to stand up for the unborn.
I hope and pray, the Opposition leader, Peter Dutton will speak up loudly against those matters like unfiltered immigration, and the present crisis of allowing sexual predators and rapists loose from the refugee centres to mix within the general population. It’s unbelievable that refugees who have already been examined in court with such histories are allowed to roam loose. (It’s akin to letting lions or wolves loose on our streets where women and children are living and giving them no protection from the danger).
I also pray that Peter Dutton along with ay with integrity in his party, and with strong independents can win back a voice of reason so we can have accountability back as a value in Parliament and also honest and sound debate over issues (e.g. the Digital ID law was only to be introduced IF it proved safe enough for Australians in view of cyber theft…but the research was never carried out and constraints were never put in place to protect the public).
Other matters are very serious. e.g. The present Labor Govt move to decide what media is appropriate for all under 16yrs could include LGBT teaching and cartoons unless parents and the general population speak up (already e have Kindergarten and prep children exposed to such teachings in the educational centres and in state schools , which shows how dangerous the Govt can be unless they have a set of moral values to protect children’s minds, emotions and bodies.
May many rise up and pray and speak up and may we pray through for our politicians before it’s too late (already the horses have bolted far enough and as Jesus said ‘the Blind can’t lead the blind’…We need leaders with sound wisdom and morals and accountability.).
Sadly ,the Liberal Party was infiltrated many years ago by Socialists which is why there has been no real “Opposition ” Party , nothing much to distinguish it from the evils of Labor.I want a return to the Liberal Party of Menzies and a Purge !
