How the Left Plans to Rule Forever: UK Labour Gives Vote to 16-Year-Olds
UK Labour’s decision to allow 16-year-olds to vote is madness.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that 16-year-olds are unintelligent. Many are brilliant – at things like Minecraft, and TikTok dance videos.
But on the other hand, many 16-year-olds are still working out how deodorant works.
The idea that they are ready to grapple with fiscal policy, foreign affairs, or the finer points of energy infrastructure is… well, optimistic.
But of course, Sir Keir Starmer’s decision is not about empowering young people; it’s about harvesting votes.
16-Year-Olds and Younger Voters Lean Left
Starmer knows that teenagers, still high on Greta Thunberg speeches, tend to lean left. Which means the real slogan here isn’t…
“Votes at 16”.
It’s…
“Votes while they still believe in socialism and free Wi-Fi for all.”
Younger Britons mostly back left-wing parties, while older Britons largely vote for parties on the right

And make no mistake, this is just the beginning…
Once you declare that emotional maturity and a frontal lobe aren’t essential to shaping the nation’s future, why stop at 16?
Why not 13?
Or 8?
Or – dare I say it – why not give toddlers the vote?
After all, toddlers are already fluent in tantrums, narcissism, and demanding things they haven’t earned. They’re a natural fit for the Left!
I jest.
Or do I?
Lowering the voting age is a desperate attempt to harvest idealism before it’s tempered by reality. Before those fresh-faced idealists get their first payslip, their first tax hike, and their first encounter with a government website. Before they realise that “free stuff” actually means you pay for it. And then they vote Conservative.
So Labour wants them early. Before wisdom sets in. Before they stop believing that the government can fix everything with a hug and a hashtag.
The Australian Labor Party, not to mention the Australian Greens, will be watching closely, with a view to hoovering up the votes of teenagers here.
This isn’t a noble expansion of democracy, it’s political insurance for the Left.
16-Year-Olds Too Young for a Facebook Account, But Wise Enough to Vote?
Sixteen-year-olds are the dream voter base for progressive elites. They are idealistic, inexperienced, easily guilt-tripped, and convinced that the world will end in 12 years unless we ban cows from farting.
Teens are too young to remember when socialism collapsed the Soviet Union but just old enough to think communism might be worth giving a go.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if the same people insisting 16-year-olds are too young to be on social media were also to insist that 16-year-olds needed to vote in national elections.
Think about it. If you managed to combine a lower voting age with censorship under the guise of “protecting children” online, you would have built a system where the Left controls the narrative and a large section of the electorate.

It’s the long game, and the Left is playing it brilliantly.
Get them young, feed them climate hysteria, remove any opposing views, and then let them vote.
Rinse, repeat, and rule forever.

hopefully this will backfire in the long run. Very young voters are notoriously fickle. Jeff
I agree Jeff. It would be even better if it backfired sooner.
I think some governments have much more faith in our children than those who have been around for a bit and according to them “don’t know anything”. Apparently children are wise enough to start taking puberty blockers and reassign their gender without their parents being allowed to have a say in the matter. Who is being credited with wisdom here?
All the more important for parents to discuss the facts of life with their children.
