The Greens Stomp on an Indigenous Australian Senator for Wearing the Australian Flag
Two days ago, the Greens stomped on an Indigenous Australian senator for wearing the Australian flag.
Here’s why I think every liberty-loving Australian should be calling this out.
Senator and Daily Declaration contributor Jacinta Nampijinpa Price was castigated by Nick McKim for allegedly “contravening” parliamentary procedure.’
In sum, McKim argued, “if she can wear that, he could wear the Palestinian flag.”
According to the Greenie from Tasmania, Australia’s national flag is nothing more than a “prop”.
Let’s all note that Greens Senator @NickMcKim was triggered by an Indigenous Australian wearing the Australian National Flag.
McKim should resign in disgrace.

McKim effectively declared the flag a symbol of disorder.
Stretching Senate rules, the Greens claimed Price was breaking a “no prop ban” when no such specific ban exists.
Disgraceful Double Standards
Weirdly enough, acting president and Liberal Party Senator Slade Brockman went along to get along.
Rather than ban burning the Australian national flag, our feckless politicians banned the flag from the Senate instead.
Nampijinpa Price was forced to remove the Blue Ensign.
This was despite the flag being relevant to the day, her speech, and the House.
This was also despite the fact that Nick McKim regularly wears a Greens Party badge in the Senate.
Anyone else notice that Senator @NickMcKim is wearing a Greens party pin in the Senate?
That is a prop. It’s political paraphernalia.
He is guilty of repeatedly doing the very thing he’s accused Senator @JNampijinpa of doing.
He should retract his accusation in the Senate… pic.twitter.com/15SVA14JZi

According to Senate rules, Chapter 31, Section 194 is the closest behavioural reprimand.
Section 194 on Relevance and Anticipation instructs senators to “not digress from the subject matter of any question under discussion.”
Additionally, the order is not to be used for “prevent discussion on the address-in-reply of any matter, or of any matter on the Notice Paper.”
Aside from his clear double standard, the Greenie’s juvenile selective outrage ticked all of the above.
The standing orders seem to acquit Price and condemn McKim.
If so, Price 1, McKim K.O.
Relevance and Respect
The Greens’ pro-Palestinian virtue-signalling suggests a pre-emptive hijacking of Nampijinpa Price’s patriotism.
Nampijinpa Price’s inclusion of the flag was relevant to her statement in the Senate, and therefore well within the Standing Orders’ purview.
McKim’s atrocious attack wasn’t.
His petty gripe was an irrelevant distraction.
As Nationals Senator (VIC), Bridget McKenzie, who sprang to Price’s defence, stated,
“The flag is not a prop; it sits in our chamber right now.”
If a senator wearing it over her shoulders is considered out of order, “we will have to consider its stance in our chamber itself.”
Answering the assault, Nampijinpa Price said,
“It’s so disappointing from the Greens but also so typical.”
Addressing the far-left wing party’s rules for thee, not for me double standard, she, in essence, said,
“I can’t wear the Australian flag? But it’s okay for the Greens to wear an (Islamic) keffiyeh in here.
“Perhaps you should remove that article from you whenever you walk through the chambers, for the benefit of all Australians in this country.”
Senator Price was referring to Muslim Greens Senator Mahreen Faruqi’s anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian senate speeches, and her wearing Yasser Arafat garb.
“Snark all you like,” Senator Price added, “The Greens don’t love this country the way I do, and certainly not like most Australians do.
“The Greens would rally alongside the terrorist organisations.
“What’s more,” she continued, “our national flag isn’t even afforded the respect it deserves by the Prime Minister.
“We have one national flag, just like almost every sovereign nation.
“The Prime Minister’s decision to stand in front of three flags isn’t an act of respect; it’s an act of disrespect,” Nampijinpa Price concluded.
I’m here in front of our nation’s flags — a powerful reminder of who we are and what unites us as Australians. 🇦🇺 pic.twitter.com/K7I0AcrH2z

I’ve said it before: I stand with Jacinta Price.
Make Australia Great Again!
Raise the colours!
Three cheers for the Stars and Crosses!

Great article Rod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good on Jacinta, any Senator that doesn’t accept and honour the Australian flag has no right to a place in Australia’s highest house of government. The Senate is the house of review and I am fed up with these so-called representatives continually manipulating rules for their own purpose. Toe the line or resign is my attitude, there should be no compromise.
It’s high time clear thinking Australians rose up and take control.
I am now labeled by my government as a racist, conspiracy theorist, anti vaxxer and un Australian because I choose to exercise my right to peaceful demonstrations against the direction this Labor government is sending us down. The more there are stunts that the greens pull on the floor of the senate the more determined I am to stand against all that is unholy.
Jacinta is one of my favourite politicians she can wear whatever she likes. She’s a sensible, positive individual, keep up the good work Jacinta.
Nick Mc Kim and his party is one of the reasons we are loosing our country ..
Wake up Australia…
Good on you Jacinta keep up the great work you are doing…
Thanking God for Senator Jacinta Price. Thanking God for the flag she wore….May God bring common sense and equity back into the Senate.
I remember 2 yrs ago in Melbourne near Flinders st (approx. Oct/Nov 2023) a MP wore a keffiyeh and stormed into a restaurant where Jewish families were meeting to grieve with the relatives who were hostages. This MP had simply marched in of her own accord to invade a quiet family time in Flinders st where Jewish relatives were mourning. She stared with hatred at the Jewish families and made her own statement of prejudice in silence by wearing a keffiyeh….The MP was never charged or taken to court or discplined by her own party.
Yet Janita came to the Senate wearing a flag that represents the whole nation – unity and the history of Australia -and stood in peace with calm and no malice, and was reprimanded and told to remove her Australian attire.
One has to ask- Where is the justice in our Govt? Where do their loyalties really lie? Is there still a democracy in place? and what about Australia’s original constitution stating we are standing under God’s blessings where it is an act of loyalty to show respect and love of our nation
Yes, I too shall agree with your prayer Gail – “. . . God to bring common sense and equity back into the Senate.” And I too shall “thank . . . God for the flag she wore.”
Green is not my favourite colour – Give me Red, White and Blue any time!
Thank you, Jacinta, for standing up for all Australians. May Almighty God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, bless you and keep you. Amen.
Keep on keeping on with all conviction, especially against the many Godless scoundrels within our Federal Parliament.
Be careful of the left-wing news media who like to take the truth, give it a little twist and turn it into a lie, then present it as truth!
All I can say is, “keep up the good work Jacinta! Australia needs you!
Thank you Rod for bringing us the full story of that disgraceful event in the Australian Senate; and showing us again Senator Nampinjinta’ s heart for this country. She is a blessing to all Australians.
