Day 4: Unity Within Him
Intention
To unite Christ with His Bride
Scripture
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard,
The beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion;
For there the Lord commanded the blessing — Life forevermore.”

Reflection
To be a community of sons and daughters who manifest the Christ wherever we go, we must be unified with Jesus. Through His sacrifice, we are sanctified and consecrated.
To the Father, the unified body of the Spirit becomes the same fragrance as Jesus on the cross. Our unity with the Spirit is a sweet aroma to the Father, and we become sanctified and holy, through drinking from Christ’s cup.
The process of becoming holy and setting ourselves aside for God is through choice and by living in agreement with the Spirit of Truth. 1 Peter 1:15 notes,
“But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy’.”
By cleansing ourselves from the flesh’s filth, we perfect our holiness through the fear of the Lord, and by His gift of the Spirit of Grace, we are actively empowered for effortless change! The HOLY SPIRIT unified us by way of the FINISHED WORK OF THE CROSS.
“But the one who is united and joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
~ 1 Corinthians 6:17 (AMP)
Church members surrender as Christ’s Bride through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and we are unified with His sweet fragrance before the Father. Through sanctification by the sacrificed blood of Jesus, the Bride is made Holy, clean, glorious and set apart as Sons of God.
True sons of God manifest the Christ.
The church is only ready for the wedding when she is ready to surrender to her Groom. And the two are only unified when we can expose our brokenness before the Father without shame at the cross.
Members of the church must be transparent before Jesus – as well as our peers, friends and family – despite the world’s views. The Blood of Jesus gives life to the lost, and as we co-labour in faith with the Holy Spirit, we become a LIVING TESTIMONY and living stones in His house.
The perfect love of the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit casts out all fear and all people in the church must embrace unity with this love.
“And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.
I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.”
~ John 17:19-22 (NKJV)
Christ’s body is a very sweet fragrance, together in Jesus.

Father, Your eternal breakthrough is IN Jesus.
Today, we honour our Glorious Spirit of God through unity and return our first fruits to You. Come, Father, lead us in and prune us along the way. I absolutely believe You are preparing us for Glory.
