The Scary Truth About Renewables
Our energy grid is a national scandal.
That’s a fact.
And we saw evidence of it this week with the New South Wales grid being overwhelmed by what was a pretty mild Spring heatwave.
It’s perfect timing, then, for the release of the Net Zero documentary by former Nine News political editor and journalist Chris Uhlmann.
You can watch the documentary on YouTube right now here:
Uhlmann told Sky News that Australia is “creating an electricity system which will not serve the needs of the country, and I genuinely don’t believe that people fully understand what’s happening”.
He says the path we are on is a pathway to poverty.
And his conclusions are borne out by the research the Coalition has done on Labor’s disastrous energy policies.
Ballooning Costs
Labor claimed their policy for Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050 would cost $122 billion.
It turns out it’s actually a $642 billion disaster in the making, with costs that are five times higher than what they have claimed.
And that comes after Anthony Albanese’s infamous promise of $275 savings on annual energy bills, which hasn’t just been broken but shattered, with Aussies paying over $1000 more than Labor predicted.
Again, it’s a scandal.
In a cost-of-living crisis, with Australians facing higher bills, growing debt, and an energy system at risk of instability, Albanese and Labor are making life worse for all of us.
They’re pursuing Net Zero for ideological reasons, knowing full well it will cost the earth and simply won’t work.
Hidden Costs
The Labor plan conceals significant costs, including transmission costs, and large projects they treat as “sunk costs”, even though they still need to be paid for.
Labor’s plan relies on a carbon price to justify their renewables-only approach.
This is currently around twice the Gillard-era carbon tax and will continue to grow.
Australians deserve to have a clear picture of these costs in order to be able to engage in this critical debate about our nation’s energy future.
Because as it stands, as Uhlmann says, we’re on a pathway to poverty if we don’t reverse course soon.
The Coalition’s plan for nuclear power is the only way we can deal with the energy challenges of the future while staying on the path of prosperity.
It’s REAL solutions we need, not expensive pie-in-the-sky plans that will destroy our nation’s future.

Carbon credits sounds like the game of guessing where the pea is under the cups.
One of the very best investments that any family can make is to buy the 3 editions of Professor Ian Plimmer’s ‘Green Books’
The 3 might cost you approx $60.
They are :
The Little Green Book for Ankle biters
The Little Green Book for Teens
The Little Green Book for Twenties & Wrinklies.
They give clear evidence that the whole notion that human emissions of CO2 is the cause of climate change is a lie.
This doco and article reads like a horror story!
Nuclear is the ONLY way to save Australia.
Thank you Senator Price for this truthful exposure of ‘renewable’ energy. It is tragic the indigenous people were never consulted (as said on Chris Uhlmann’s interview: Sky News). It is also tragic people are forced to pay huge prices and then reliant on Food bank of charity to help pay for food needs.
Chris explains the pathway The Federal Govt has chosen is not well thought out (under statement) and harmful to the environment. Plus the shutting down of coal stations now and in the next years leaves us at risk and Australians will have to pay more money than they did with coal.
Chris’ main warning as told to told Sky News is that Australia is “creating an electricity system which will not serve the needs of the country, and I genuinely don’t believe that people fully understand what’s happening”.
Instead of clear explanations Labor have just pushed the wheel burrow of a rainbow dream saying that ‘solar and wind are free’ and environmentally friendly, implying all energy will be free to Australians or low cost. But the truth is revealed in Chris statement: ‘the path we are on is a pathway to poverty’…
Senator Price points out that his conclusions are borne out by the research the Coalition has done on Labor’s disastrous energy policies.’
It’s easy to fool the people for a time but it’s evident electricity failures, high prices and power unreliability tell another story. As heat waves hit the south of Australia and power failures arise, the facts speak for themselves.
As wind turbines cause accidents and have proved unstable (killing one worker when one wind turbine part became detached and fell on him ) and as people realize birds cant discern the danger and fly into them, there will be repercussions. The main turbines pole is made of steel but the wind turbines blades are made of fiberglass, which is not environmentally friendly, or recyclable and are dangerous to fish if the parts fall into water ways.
The fact there is no back up plan for each weather and Enviromental crisis shows we are travelling one road to disaster. May God help our Govt (or new Govt after an election) to do the research on this and to plan carefully.
