Rainbow Serpents and Other Monsters
A West Australian landowner — who does exist — has been found guilty of upsetting an Aboriginal rainbow serpent that does not exist.
This is exactly as you would expect, in a country run by woketards.
Next week, I imagine someone in Australia will be prosecuted for upsetting unicorns, or for disrupting fairies.
Real Estate agent Tony Maddox was last week fined $2000 and ordered to pay $5000 in costs for breaching Aboriginal Heritage Laws.
His crime?
He built a small crossing over a river that flowed through the property he has owned for more than a decade.
The river, you see, is associated with a mythical Rainbow Serpent that is central to the superstitions of the region’s Noongar people.
I might add that fairies at the bottom of Tony Maddox’s garden are associated with Adam Bandt’s mythical economic policy. But no-one’s suggesting Tony Maddox can’t weed his garden…
Insanity
Anyway, Maddox, aged 72, bought his property in 2013 and installed a crossing over the waterway in 2014.
In case it needs to be explained, the crossing over the water was so that Maddox could cross it.
And he did it all without upsetting the Rainbow Serpent, or at least we assume so, since no-one heard from the monster.
But when Maddox repaired the crossing in 2020, he heard from a different monster — the West Australian Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage.
And, unlike the Rainbow Serpent, this Government monster can bite.
Maddox was told he should have known better than to make any alteration to a tributary of the Avon River.
The department did not care that Maddox owned the land and had done so for a decade.
The department did not care that Maddox had applied for, and received, a Development Approval from the local council.
The department did not care that the crossing had not harmed the river or surrounding wildlife in any way. In fact, more than 120 ducks had made the waterway on his property their home.
Whatever.
The department insisted that the law requires landowners wanting to cross waterways on their own land to obtain the Rainbow Serpent’s blessing.
According to the department, the Rainbow Serpent doesn’t take kindly to a whitey who “in any way alters any Aboriginal heritage site”.
Maddox built a little causeway, for heaven’s sake.
But, but… the Rainbow Serpent!
I’m just curious. Does the $2000 fine go to the Rainbow Serpent?

An astonishing story. This is classic Macpherson at his best. I’m as incredulous as James. But after reading about all the ducks and of which I believe serpents could be quite fond, after its worked its way through them, any unicorns, fairies and other monsters, the serpent might just find its way to feast on the turkeys in the West Australian Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage. Hope so.
I believe in rainbow serpents. I saw Professor Karl making them recently. They’re chewy, jelly like substances , about 5-6 ” long and taste yummy!
When I did my Anthropology degree at ANU it was clear that the Rainbow Serpent is the Kundalini, that is, the creative power of the Divine, just as it was clear that the Dreamtime is the Collective Unconscious, that is, the mind of God. Traditional Aborigines knew this and respected this. It is tragic that the modern day WA department governing aspects of Aboriginal belief have treated this white farmer in this appalling way. It makes a mockery of the existential beliefs of the ancient Aborigines. A lot of traditional Aboriginal words are from Sanskrit, the fine old language that clarifies many spiritual aspects of existence.
Imaginary Rainbow Serpent that no one has ever seen or will ever see , any more than fairies or unicorns, is upset? More insanity. Paganism. Could the Rainbow Serpent please speak !I really don’t care if my comments are disrespectful to something which no one has ever seen or will ever see ! Time to end this nonsense+ refund the money to this landowner + quash his conviction in the interest of SANITY !Am fed up+ insulted by the Pagan “Welcome to Country”which is presumed to drive out my “evil ” Christian spirit.
