Revive Australia Through Prayer: Join the 24/7 Prayer National Gathering
The Canberra Declaration is at the forefront of promoting prayer in Australia. Whether it’s our three-times weekly Zoom prayer meetings or intensive calls to prayer every January, May and October, prayer is central to all we do.
As Martin Luther said, “To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.”
24/7 Prayer International: A Global Initiative
We are delighted to support various prayer initiatives around our nation. Founded in 1999, 24/7 Prayer International has “a vision to revive the church and rewire the culture through non-stop night and day prayer.”
Now in Australia since 2022, 24/7 Prayer Australia will hold its National Gathering in Perth (21 March) and Sydney (22 March). Watch as Warwick explains more and invites you to this exciting event in the video below!
The purpose of the National Gathering is “to inspire a culture of extraordinary prayer, equipping the Church to take up God’s invitation to partner with Him.”
We fervently agree with Billy Graham, who said, “We can change the course of events if we go to our knees in believing prayer.” The Canberra Declaration is committed to restoring faith, family, freedom and life in our nation. Prayer is a crucial, key strategy in achieving that goal.
The Canberra Declaration at the National Gathering!
Warwick and the Canberra Declaration’s prayer coordinator, Kym Farnik, will attend the Sydney gathering. Undoubtedly, it will be a wonderful time for many from the Canberra Declaration to meet and spend time together. We would love to see you there!
The Canberra Declaration will also hold a Sunday morning worship celebration on Sunday, 23 March, in Sydney. This will be held at the Golden Grove Christian Conference Centre, 5 Forbes Street, Newtown, NSW 2042. They have cheap and clean accommodation at half the normal price with breakfast included. We will gather together afterwards for lunch nearby. It is only a 20-minute walk to the 24/7 National Gathering conference venue. Contact Margaret on 02 9557 1642 to book.
Pete Greig, founder of 24/7 Prayer International, will be one of the keynote speakers at both gatherings.
Pete has greatly inspired me (Warwick) since he began his continuous prayer ministry in 1999. His prayer course is well worth checking out, as is his preaching!
In addition to pastoring, Pete is the author of Red Moon Rising, a book that chronicles how he became a “bewildered instigator” of the 24/7 prayer movement.
Beginning with a group of students in a warehouse on the south coast of England in 1999, that initial prayer meeting is still going today!
Now, with over 25,000 prayer rooms in most denominations across half the world’s nations, Pete will share why this “bewildered instigator” is passionate about revitalising and growing the global Church through prayer.
