Day 02 God Has Given Us a Voice

God Has Given Us a Voice: Day 2

2 October 2025

3.9 MINS

Intention

To speak up and be heard as we proclaim the kingdom of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world.

Scripture

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek [non-Jews]. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’”

– Romans 1:16–17

Reflection

In the wake of the martyrdom of Charlie Kirk, much has been said and written by many great church and ministry leaders about Charlie and his impact on the Church and society. I had not felt I should say anything – until now.

To me, the single greatest impact of Charlie’s life and assassination is the emboldening of hundreds of millions of believers to speak up, especially to proclaim the full gospel of the kingdom.

This good news is: Jesus Christ came as man, was crucified, died, descended and took the keys of hell and death, rose again after three days, ascended to heaven after 40 days, and is coming again in glory. And through his death and resurrection, we receive salvation by his grace through faith.

I have noticed that many, especially young men, are rising up above the noise of this corrupt world and speaking boldly for Christ. Many of us have found a new, strong voice that has been missing for decades. Even Vice President Vance said he was speaking more about Jesus in the last 2 weeks than he had every before in his life.

Hell is Afraid

If we consider the account of Rahab and the spies in Joshua 2, Rahab says in verse 11: “And as soon as we heard these things [Israel’s victories], our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, he is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.”

We need to recognise that the kingdom of darkness fears the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hillary Clinton said this week, “White Christian men are damaging America”.

Her words are bizarre, as the gospel is opposed to a world of drugs, perversions, family breakdown, gangs, and crime. Yet, it’s a clear indication that the forces of darkness are worried about Christians speaking up and their kingdom falling.

We must recognise that the fervent prayer of a righteous person avails, and the we are empowered by Holy Spirit to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of God. The gates of Hades will not prevail against the Ekklesia (Church) as established by our Lord Jesus. Hell is quaking in its shoes as believers rise up boldly to speak the truth and power of the name above all names.

Australian Christians, I call us all to prayer, repentance, and to use the voice God has given us to proclaim the name above all names, Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus our Messiah, to this sinful nation, that she may turn back to the Lord.

Prayer

Abba Father, we come before you in worship, praising you as the creator of all. We thank you for the good news of Jesus Christ, which is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes – first to the Jew, and also to the Gentile.

Lord, grant us the courage and boldness to share the gospel, unashamed of its message. Help us to be faithful witnesses, living lives that demonstrate your love for a lost and dying world.

We pray for the salvation of both Jewish people and Gentiles, asking that you would open their hearts and minds to understand and receive the righteousness of God revealed in the gospel. Protect them from temptation and conflicting opinions so they can remain focused on you.

May your gospel bear fruit, bringing eternal worth and hope to all who believe. Strengthen our faith so that we may live by it, and through our lives and words, many will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

B’shem (in the name of) Yeshua, amen.

after Pope Benedict visited and celebrated world youth day here he abdicated in favour of the first ever a Jesuit Pope Francis .Soon after he reported in.fairfax media saying that they in the Vatican “hate Jesus and Christians ” and also “truth and beauty” .ie they are by deduction the anti Christ .
He then said that he would devote the rest of his life to praying for the salvation of the Church ,not world peace or anything else but just to save the Church .
He knew ,imo ,the truth .
allegedly .Remember at the Interfaith Ecumenical Council meeting almost 3 decades ago ,maybe even more now all the world’s faith legally contracted to accept the Pontiff as head of the one world religion .Also there are more Catholic schools in America than anywhere ,than all of their schools everywhere else on earth and as reported in various sites the fact is Americans are actually ths bottom of the world class academically The bottom. And they have more Catholic health care services than anywhere on earth ,and pay the highest prices for both ,and yet I’ve seen it reported that they die the youngest on average .
Apparently according to google services .Join dots .What’s going on ? Wakey wakey .
    hand off snakey .
    nothing’s what it seems QE2 .

Thanks Kym for your tremendously encouraging article.
Phil Wickham’s song is truly anointed to do soul-work in each hearing/singing of it!
Thanks to both you Kym, and Phil. ☺️

Yep, there are lots of liars out there – even in here : in the church.
So its no wonder that God’s word exhorts us to keep our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfector of our faith; and to be transformed in our thinking by the renewing of our minds.
We must know the genuine before we can adequately discern and resist the fake.

Thanks Kym, such an encouraging exhortation to fix our eyes on Jesus in the middle of the storm. With information and confusing arguments whizzing all around us we can cling to our rock solid living hope, who doesn’t change like shifting shadows. Praying for a buoyant, joyfilled, singing , loving, discerning, Jesus centered Church, welcoming and ministering to a constant stream (or maybe flood) of newbies.

      Thanks Andrea.
We don’t fully understand the power of our prayers and preaching in the name of Jesus.
