Day 23: Awakening to the One Who Is Worthy of It All
Intention
To awaken the Church to the worthiness of Jesus, inspiring wholehearted worship and renewed courage to share his gospel.
Scripture
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!”
– Revelation 5:12
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
– Romans 8:1
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.”
– Ephesians 2:8–9
Reflection
We sing, “He is worthy of it all.” But what does “worthy” mean? And what are we offering when we say “all”?
Worth speaks of value or significance. The Greek word axios, translated “worthy” in Revelation 5:12, means “deserving”. Heaven declares that glory, honour and praise rightly belong to God and to the Lamb. Our worship recognises his worthiness; it does not create it.
Revelation tells us why he is worthy: God created all things (Revelation 4:11), and the Lamb was slain and purchased people for God with his blood (Revelation 5:9). He is our creator and redeemer. We do not worship to earn his acceptance; we worship in response to his saving grace (Ephesians 2:8–9).
His worthiness does not depend on our achievements, feelings or circumstances. He is worthy before the breakthrough and while we wait. We can worship him even in our sorrows, without pretending that suffering is good.
The Old Testament word for “glory” or “honour”, kavod, is related to the idea of weight or heaviness. We should reflect on the following question: Whose word carries the greatest weight in our lives — God’s truth or human approval?
Jesus calls us to love God with “all” our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). “All” means our whole lives — our ambitions, abilities and resources. It also includes bringing our pain, shame, sickness and anxiety into his care.
Jesus meets us in our brokenness and calls us to repentance. There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Humility means admitting we need him, not declaring ourselves worthless.
As we pray and fast for Australia, let us return to our first love (Revelation 2:4–5). Ministry cannot replace devotion to Jesus. He calls his Church to be captivated by him, so that we will honour one another and share his gospel with humility and courage.
We proclaim Christ, not ourselves. Our nation needs more than impressive churches; it needs the Saviour. May our worship overflow into compassionate witness, inviting others to receive his grace.
All honour, all glory and our undivided devotion belong to Jesus. His worthiness is not measured by what we receive today; it is revealed in who he is and what he has done.
He is worthy of it all.

Prayer
Father, awaken your Church in Australia to love Jesus wholeheartedly again. Forgive us for seeking our identity in approval, achievement or ministry. Heal our wounds, humble our hearts and help us receive your grace. Unite us across denominations in love and truth. As we pray and fast, give us courage to share the gospel and compassion for those who do not yet know you. May many turn to Christ. Jesus, you are worthy of our whole lives. Amen.

Prayer Points for October 2026
We are praying for the Church to:
- Awaken to her first love for Jesus (Ephesians 5:14; Revelation 2:4).
- Awaken to evangelism so that millions will trust in Christ (John 3:16; Proverbs 11:30).
- Awaken to her prophetic voice to the nation (Isaiah 52:1; Matthew 14:4).
We invite you to support this campaign to multiply prayer in Australia for revival and see millions come to faith in Christ. Every donation to the Canberra Declaration helps us promote prayer and make a stand for family, faith, freedom, life, and the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.
