21 Days of Hope for the Unborn – Day 1: Love Never Gives Up
As we begin the ‘21 days of Hope for the Unborn’ time of prayer, fasting and communion together, we begin by focussing this week on love.
Love is to always be the motivation of our hearts! Our faith pleases God, and perseverance in prayer bears fruit. We choose to never give up fighting for the unborn to live, and not die needlessly by abortion. We are anchored in Jesus our hope, and we will arise strong, putting our trust in His Victory.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance… Love will last forever.
~ 1 Corinthians 13:7-9 (NLT)
Have you ever felt like giving up? Often, when we are tired or disappointed, we feel like giving up! The Bible says,
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.”
~ Proverbs 13:12 (NKJV)
Jesus Himself, suffering the fierce opposition in the Garden of Gethsemane, prayed and was strengthened to say, ‘Your will be done, not mine!’ to His heavenly Father.
We have been in this battle against legalised abortion for well over fifty years now. The results are devastating: abortion is legal and even full-term babies’ lives can be ended in the womb, where there is no threat to the child or the mother’s life. Throughout most of Australia, we have babies born alive through a failed abortion being left to die.
“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
~ Hebrews 6:10-12 (TPT)
God has given us perseverance — we are the hope for the unborn as we continue, motivated by love. Seek and obey the Lord, and refuse to give up!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for your love and the gift of Your Son.
We come to Your Throne of Grace and ask for the grace to help us, Your Ekklesia, rise up, empowered by Your love that never fails. Holy Spirit, come with strength and tenacity, that multitudes in Australia be empowered and determined to stand and pray for freedom and life for the unborn.
Lord, bless all those on the frontline in saving lives in Australia. Protect them and provide reinforcements from those who have the gifts and resources to remove this mountain of abortion from our nation.
Lord, bless Your people with perseverance, character and hope in these days to dream big — that we can see an end to the abortion crisis in Australia. In Your powerful and redeeming Name Jesus, we pray, Amen.
Worship:
Holy Communion:
Today, we remember the forgiveness, obedience and love that our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated for us all as He went to the cross, died and rose again and ascended into Heaven. May we be one in standing for the unborn in Australia.
“When we bless the cup at the Lord’s Table,
aren’t we sharing in the blood of Christ?
And when we break the bread,
aren’t we sharing in the body of Christ?
And though we are many,
we all eat from one loaf of bread,
showing that we are one body.”
~ 1 Corinthians 10:16 -17 (NLT)
Acts of Repentance:
Today, ask the Lord to give us grace, to help us go deeper in our love and devotion to Him.
Lean into His love today, especially at moments in the day when we might have leaned on our own understanding. Ask Him to show our blockages and hindrances to His love flowing to us and from us.
Drink deeply from the living water Jesus offers us, and let yourself be saturated in worship, so His love overflows to those around us. Look for someone to bless with the gift of your love today!
Prayer Points:
- Join our prayers with the USA in the battle to overturn Roe v. Wade — There is an abortion case (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization) presently being considered by the nine US Supreme Court Judges which could overturn the famous abortion case Roe v. Wade (1973) which opened up abortion on demand in the USA for almost 50 years. This has resulted in the loss of life to over 62,000,000 babies in the USA. The verdict of the case is expected to be known in June 2022. If Roe v. Wade (1973) is overturned, or invalidated, it is expected that around half the states in the USA will move to make abortion illegal in their states. It is thought six out of the nine judges now have pro-life values.
- Pray that the Love Adelaide — Walk for Life 2022 on Feb 12th 10am-12pm will grow in momentum from the 5,000 last year — that nothing will hinder the church standing against legalised abortion, adding their strength and support to end the abortion crisis in our nation and beyond. Pray for more volunteers for the walk and for the weather to be favourable.
- Ask for the Babies Born Alive (Human Rights — Children Born Alive Protection Bill 2021) tabled in the Australian Federal Parliament to have favour, that it be allowed to go for a vote and be passed in this term of government with no more delay — so that in every state and territory in Australia, babies born alive after a failed abortion will receive proper medical care and legal protection.
- That people of South Australia will vote according to Life in the upcoming State Parliament elections. May they no longer support the politicians who voted for aborting viable babies even to full term, blocked vital lifesaving amendments and forbade all prayer and offers of help within 150 m of any place where abortions occur (including all major public hospitals).
- That many women and men will take up the call to be on the frontline in the fight for Life for the Unborn by joining a political party and running for office.
May God Bless you. Thank you for being a part of 21 Days of Hope for the Unborn.
‘And let us not grow weary while doing good,
for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’
~ Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

We need to talk about the situation in Tasmania and how we desperately need prayer. The Greens have introduced a “Conversion Practices Prohibition Bill” into the Tasmanian Parliament that will have devastating ramifications for Christians, parents, and all those who, of their own volition, want to break with the current cultural state-sanctioned morality.

We don't talk about social atomisation, do we? Most of us would be hard pressed to define it. Yet it is reshaping our society in ways we barely acknowledge — fragmenting our communities, eroding our connections, and leaving us isolated in the midst of billions.

In countries with voluntary organ donation systems, patients wait months or years for a transplant. In China, hospitals guarantee matching organs within weeks. That statistical impossibility reveals a horrifying truth: China operates an industrial-scale organ harvesting operation — with the tacit complicity of the Western world.
