Six Days Remaining in Prayer and Fasting for Life 2024!
There are only six days remaining in this year’s prayer and fasting campaign for the unborn (21 January–10 February). But there is much happening, with Zoom prayer meetings and the Adelaide Walk for Life!
We are now up to day 16 of our 21 days of prayer and fasting for LIFE: 21 January–10 February 2024. This year’s prayer and fasting campaign centres on compassion and mercy for the unborn.
Our official launch featured Jodie Pickard and Ann Browne from Love Australia who shared key insights about this year’s campaign. If you haven’t yet watched our official launch, you can do so here.
Campaign Climax: Walk for Life Adelaide (10 February 2024)
The campaign concludes this Saturday on the same day as Love Adelaide’s Walk for Life. As the first of many walks and marches for life scheduled across Australia this year, it’s vital to pray that the first one continues to grow in number and influence.
Walks and marches for life don’t by themselves change bad pro-abortion laws. But they are an occasion for unity, consolidation, equipping, building momentum and a visual demonstration that life is to be cherished by all.
If you are near Adelaide this Saturday, please come and support this vital pro-life event! The walk runs from 10 am –12 pm at Pennington Gardens, with many very special guest speakers scheduled. Find out more information and book your free tickets here. Watch the invitational video below.
2024: An Important One for the Unborn
2024 is a vitally important one for the unborn. This year, we aim to have the Babies Born Alive Bill debated in the Senate. This remains a central focus for prayer.
It’s a critical bill that will see babies born alive after a failed abortion given the same status under the law as any other baby born in this nation. The bill will be life-saving for many unwanted babies.
In addition, election cycles continue to come around. Each election is an opportunity to see pro-life politicians elected that will seek to have godly and righteous laws implemented in our nation. This year Qld and the NT will hold elections, and 2024 will also be the lead-up to the important federal election.
With only six days left in this campaign, we want our prayers and petitions before God’s throne to increase in passion and fervency (Rev 5:8).
Zoom Prayer Calls with Special Guests
To help increase our momentum, we are delighted to announce that this Monday and Wednesday’s Zoom prayer calls will feature some very special guests.
This Monday night we are honoured to have Dr Donna Purcell, current president of Cherish Life Queensland, join us as we pray and intercede for the little ones.
Also joining us on Monday night will be Jenny Gurry, founder and CEO of Diamond Women.
Diamond Women is an organisation with a heart to help women who feel pressured or isolated in an unplanned pregnancy.
On Wednesday night we have the privilege of having Michelle Oates and Juliet Ballinger.
Michelle represented Canberra Declaration at the Children Born Alive Senate Hearing last year. She is at the very forefront of the pro-life movement in Australia.
Juliet Ballinger is the vice president of Pregnancy Help Australia, an organisation offering free, compassionate support for those facing an unplanned or challenging pregnancy.
Both nights will be a wonderful opportunity to grow in the Father’s heart for the unborn, and to hear from our special guests as they share their heart for the ‘least of these’. We look forward to seeing you tonight and on Wednesday!
