Newcastle Herald Apologises for “Only Two Genders” Advertisement
The Newcastle Herald has apologised for running newspaper ads saying there are only two genders.
The newspaper’s publisher released a statement saying…
“We support freedom of speech and a diversity of views, but on this occasion, we let our readers and our staff down.”
To which I would reply…
How?
How does allowing someone to state a basic biological truth let your readers down?
Are the readers of the Newcastle Herald so fragile that they must be shielded from elementary biological truths?
And your staff? Are they upset that someone pointed out the bleeding obvious? Who exactly are they employing at the Herald these days?
The advertisement for Clive Palmer’s political party read…
“There are only two genders – male and female.”
It went on to say…
“We must stop confusing our children in schools. Give them a normal and safe environment to grow up in and let them decide who they are when they become adults.”

I’m wondering how the advertisement could be amended so that the ideologues at the Newcastle Herald would be okay with it.
Should the advertisement have said there were three genders?
Would the advertisement have been allowed if it said there were 72 genders?
Could the Newcastle Herald please advise us on how many genders exist?
Management said the advertisement did not meet the company’s values, and so would be removed from the paper’s digital editions.

What ‘values’ does the Newcastle Herald hold that have been violated?
Because the way I read it, the Newcastle Herald doesn’t have any values at all. Or at least none that are usually associated with a news organisation.
They don’t value free speech. And nor do they value diversity of views.
Whenever you say “we support freedom of speech and diversity of views but…” the word “but” tells you everything you need to know.
They aren’t values if you’re prepared to compromise on them.
And the Newcastle Herald doesn’t value truth in news.
If they won’t even print a biological truth for fear it contradicts an ideological fetish held by 0.1 percent of the population, what hope that the Newcastle Herald will publish the day’s news free of bias?
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot as a news organisation.
When you apologise to your readership for any hurt that facts in your newspaper may have caused, and when you promise never to print hurty facts ever again, you have signed your own death certificate as a news outlet.
But it wasn’t just the Newcastle Herald who had conniptions over a biological fact succinctly stated in their news pages.
The Sydney Morning Herald, a former newspaper, ran a column headlined…
“Backlash over Clive Palmer’s Trumpet of Patriots gender advertisements.”
Of course there was backlash.
Vile, Emotional Manipulation
Do you really think activist group Transgender Victoria were going to let Clive Palmer get away with suggesting Demi-gender and pan gender and omnigender genders were not actual genders?
The group described Palmers’ assertion of biological reality as “hateful” and “dangerous”.
If that sounds a little over the top, get a load of this…
“Trumpet of Patriots should retract this campaign and apologise – or acknowledge they will have our blood on their hands,” Transgender Victoria chief executive Son Vivienne told this the Sydney Morning Herald.
Follow the science, they say.
Apart from biology, of course. If you state basic biological truths known even to primary school children you will have blood on your hands.
I want to be careful here, but can I point out something important…
If Transgender Victoria believe the mental state of trans people to be so fragile that they will be driven to self harm (or worse) by the simple assertion of biological fact… those vulnerable people should seek urgent psychological help.
If your sense of self is so precarious that you must be shielded from any facts to the contrary lest you take your own life then one should immediately question whether that sense of self is in any way real.
Of course, this vile manipulation from the trans lobby – if you don’t do as we say then people will die – has been around for years.
It is the same manipulation they use on parents who are struggling to know how to handle a child suffering from gender dysphoria.
The parents are routinely told: “Do you want a happy little girl or a dead little boy?”
Of course, multiple studies have shown that rates of depression and suicide among people suffering from gender dysphoria do not decline after ‘transitioning’.
Who’s the Extreme Fringe?
Equality Australia CEO Anna Brown slammed the Clive Palmer advertisements, saying they were…
“… designed to do nothing more than stoke division and provoke outrage from a fringe political actor desperately looking for attention.”
Whatever.
Was what Palmer asserted true?
And how is it that Palmer asserting biological truth is cast as the “fringe” actor?
Almost everyone in this country, whatever they think of Palmer, would agree that there are only two genders.
The fringe, the extreme fringe, are those who insist that saying 2+2=4 is dangerous and hateful.
That they try, through intimidation and manipulation, to convince normal people that they are out of step with reality is as laughable as it is sinister.

Vatican officials have announced that Pope Francis died early on Easter Monday at the age of 88. Catholics around the globe are mourning the loss of Pope Francis, but his papacy has had a mixed reception.
About the threat that saying something ‘hurtful’ could lead to the speaker having blood on their hands … the clear meaning is that the hurt person/s will probably harm or kill themselves because of the ‘hurtful’ thing said.
The IMPLICATION being, that the very WORST thing that can happen, is for someone to DIE (and/or to be responsible for it).
Well, that is actually true.
Death IS the very worst thing that can happen to anyone.
It means that their earthly LIFE has ended; there is no more earthly opportunity for them to live, love, enjoy, create … etc.
So, to CAUSE someone to harm/kill themselves is indeed dreadful. Tragic.
But, without my being the slightest bit callous, the plain truth is that EVERYONE will die.
Sooner or later.
By some means or other.
Why ?
Why must everyone die ??
Because the wages of sin is DEATH. Romans 6:23
So, why does sin earn death ??
Because sin is transgression (breaking) of the law.
So, what is the law ? The 10 Commandments.
Exodus 20:1-17
Just try telling a court of law that the few sinful things you have done can all be swept away by the many wonderful things you have done. They won’t be swayed ! If you’re guilty, you’re guilty.
Now please don’t pretend that you, dear reader, have NEVER broken ANY of what it contained there in the law !
Since you are a law-breaker, you are a sinner.
You have earned the death PENALTY that is coming your way – by whose-ever hand !
Whenever.
There is no earthly hope for any sinner to escape death.
BUT …
This is why Jesus Christ came to earth : to save sinners.

Logically this insanity (Multiple Genders ) should extend to the animal kingdom . No more 2 genders in Zoology for lions, mosquitoes , etc—they all should be classified with multiple genders. Agreed ?I object that bodies like “Transgender Victoria”, ” Equality Australia “, the “Mardi Gras”+ “HealthCare “(euphemism for Abortion ) receive Govt Funding from the taxes I pay. I will not vote for anyone who will vcontinue this Evil.
Brilliant James, you are terrific for calling out the Newcastle Herald’s absurd self censorship and absurd apology. So much for a media outlet claiming to stand for free speech! AND what is it doing apologising for a political advertisement when Australia is on the verge of a federal election? So, the Newcastle Herald is now censoring legitimate, relevant political ads. What a disgrace this paper is!

The Newcastle Herald has been going Woke for many years. This mining, steel city was once strong, quite irreverent and bold. Particularly a man’s town culture. Family values. Sadly, a Labor stronghold.
Hunter Street is a desolate landscape of questionable shop fronts, and decay.
However, we have a nice City Hall building (the new steel and glass one, not the beautiful Town Hall of yesteryear) and behold, flying proudly amongst a plethora of culturally appropriate banners, flies the United Nations flag.
All we need to know about Newcastle and what influences it is seen in this faded piece of Globalist Symbolism.
