Climate Report Has Greens Seeing Red

17 September 2025

2.4 MINS

The Government released its doomsday climate change modelling yesterday… and Greens leader Larissa Waters is “angry”.

Not just angry, she’s “bl***y angry”.

Trembling with righteous rage, she posted a video on social media saying:

I’m just so bl***y angry. After 10 months and a bunch of pressure from the Greens and from the community, Labor has finally been forced to release their climate risk report. And it’s pretty clear why they’ve been hiding it for so long because it’s full of absolutely terrifying news.

Terrifying indeed.

Bugbear

The Australian Conservation Foundation – to be led by former Greens leader Adam Bandt – went further today, warning that children’s mental health was already being affected.

They released a statement warning:

“Children’s mental and physical health is being affected already and those impacts are getting worse.”

Well, of course.

If you constantly tell kids that they have no future, they’ll eventually start believing you.

When I was a kid, children’s bedtime stories ended with “happily ever after.”

These days they end with, “ … and then the sea levels rose, mummy drowned, and daddy couldn’t afford solar panels. The end.

The Brothers Grimm would blush.

Greta Thunberg has basically replaced The Wiggles as children’s entertainment. And we wonder why kids are terrified.

But it’s not just the kids…

Larissa Waters is terrified, too.

The Sky is Falling

Then again, we’re talking about the Greens. To be fair, it’s often difficult to tell the difference between their emotional range and that of children.

With all the climate modelling that’s occurred over the past 50 years – and with barely a single prediction coming true – you’d think they’d show just a touch of humility.

But admitting error requires a tether to reality.

The Greens are tethered only to ideology.

So, when their forecasts fail, they don’t course-correct. They double down.

The report predicts that Brisbane could be flooding for 300 days of the year, and that more than 1.5 million people are at risk of sea level rise. Mainly, like their houses flooding and being inundated by 2050.

The report is mainly, like, ridiculous.

300 days of flooding? Noah didn’t even see that kind of action.

Of course, the misfortune tellers chose to reference Brisbane in their report, because Brisbane WILL flood.

Brisbane has always flooded. It’s basically Venice with cane toads.

So when Brisbane next floods, the Greens will jump up and down screeching, “See, we told you so. The report was right!”

Larissa Waters should save her hysteria for when they predict that Adelaide will flood.

Until then, I wouldn’t recommend trading in your lawnmower for a canoe.

So Scary

But back to the leader of the Greens:

Not to mention the catastrophic impacts on biodiversity, and nature, on infrastructure on every part of our way of life.

I’m not sure why she’s so upset.

We all know climate change is nothing that higher taxes can’t fix.

Meanwhile, insurers will keep writing policies on Brisbane homes because they know what Larissa Waters refuses to admit: the fear-porn in this report will never materialise.

The only thing that WILL materialise is higher premiums, because once the government says “risk”, the bureaucrats and corporations smell “opportunity”.

The Greens, though, well, they are now calling for Net Zero… not by 2050, but by 2035.

So Larissa Waters is right. We should be terrified – not of climate change, but of the Greens.

And we should be angry. The government, the unions and the activists – but I repeat myself – are going to use Chris Bowen‘s Chicken Little routine to justify destroying the country in the name of saving it.

We should be very, very angry.

I am nor green with envy – I’m still shocked that some Australians can swallow the Net Zero deception.

I am nearly eighty but when I was 10 yrs old I heard on the news that the world was going to flood and people would die. I didn’t believe it then because I went to Sunday school and believed the rainbow was God’s promise never again would God flood the world. And he hasn’t from that day to this. The greens should have gone to Sunday school then they wouldn’t get so upset.

I love your articles James, your observational wit is brilliant and entertaining. To all those worried about climate change, I have one main rebuttal, Genesis 8:22 “As long as the earth endures,
    seedtime and harvest,
    cold and heat,
    summer and winter,
    day and night
    will never cease.”
Amen. God is always in control.
