A Sign and a Wonder

4.3 MINS

Two small but significant signs point us toward the cleansing action of the Holy Spirit in hearts throughout the world. The mercy of God is to be poured out abundantly.

On Monday night, March 25th, 2019, I was the speaker at the Annual General Meeting of the Western Australian Division of WIZO, a Jewish women’s organisation, which has two co-presidents. After I had assembled my equipment, I went to the ladies’ room. As I entered, one of the co-presidents was facing the mirror above the wash basins, brushing her hair. Suddenly she exclaimed: “Oh! This tap just turned on by itself!  It must be a sign from God!”

As I walked past, I agreed that it must be, though not really taking in what she had said. She went on: “If only God had made it clear what the sign was telling us!” That was the end of the conversation.

I continued to think about this unusual event, suspecting the activity of an angel turning on that tap and giving her, an Orthodox Jew, that wondering thought about this miracle.

The following Thursday, I was at a lunch gathering for pastors, leaders and street chaplains. Because I was new to the group, the chairman asked me to quickly share something before he introduced the guest speaker for that day.

I could only think of relating this small incident that I had witnessed and was trying to discern what the Lord had said by it, so I explained what happened. One of the street chaplains spoke next:

“Ruth, I want to encourage you. Last Sunday (i.e. Sunday 24th, the day before my experience), our church had a guest speaker who told about an identical incident he had had that morning. He went into his bathroom at home and the tap above the wash basin turned on by itself!”

I asked who the speaker was, and she told me it was a man whom I knew as a recognised prophet in Perth.

I sent an email to him reporting my event, asking him what he thought God was saying. He replied that he could apply it to his own situation, but sensed there was more to it than that, but did not elaborate on this.

Parallels

So now I had two events to process. I have learned from previous experiences that God’s thoughts are not like ours. We tend to think in a Greek logical way, asking, “What is it that happened? How did that happen?” or “Maybe the tap was just leaking!” when God is communicating something by an active picture, which must be analysed for its meaning. Here we have two events:

  • Both are about hand basin taps turning on, apparently by themselves, which can be described as a work of God’s hand, without human involvement.
  • One was in a private bathroom in a Gentile home and the other was in a Jewish Community Centre ladies’ restroom, a more public place.
  • A Jew and a Gentile both had this experience.
  • One was male, the other female.
  • The tap turning on over a wash basin is to provide water to clean hands. Hands become dirty because people are doing something dirty. God says He desires clean hands and a clean heart, but He is speaking spiritually. Dirty hands represent dirty deeds, and a dirty heart produces those dirty actions. Our world is full of such deeds today, and anyone who cares about how God sees this world longs to see the whole world, Jew and Gentile, male and female, cleaned up, washed clean of such dirty deeds.

I have concluded that these incidents gave us two very simple pictures of what our good Father is about to do, pictures given on two days in two different places, but the same sign given twice to emphasise the truth that the two incidents convey. In Hebrew thought, two is the number of witness.

Merciful Cleansing

These two events making up one “sign” tell us that the dirt is about to be washed off the hands of mankind, Jew and Gentile, male and female alike, by an outpouring like a tsunami of the living water of God’s goodness, poured out by God alone without human action.

He will do this to demonstrate His character as Judge and King, who is full of goodness and mercy. Moses testified in Exodus 33:19 about his experience of God on the mountain when he asked to see God’s glory. God told him:

“I will make all My goodness pass before you… I will be gracious to whomever I will be gracious and I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy.”

Why am I a witness to this? In January 1985, as I said earlier, the Holy Spirit told me I was riding a wave out in the ocean on a surfboard, and if I stayed balanced on both His written and His spoken Word, His power beneath me would carry me to shore on a tsunami of His goodness and glory.

I believe that we are almost about to be inundated by this tsunami, worldwide, as the result of a spiritual earthquake that will take place very soon in Israel, which will show everyone on earth that there is only one God and He is the God of Israel!

His glory and goodness will flow in all directions from Israel as mighty waves of His goodness and glory, the spiritual equivalent of Noah’s Flood of water, cleansing everything and undoing all that God’s enemy has been able to achieve in men’s lives up to now. The Holy Spirit will be flooding the whole earth with His goodness, touching everything alive.

Two recent prophetic Words from recognised prophetic voices confirm how close this is:

  1. Chuck Pierce was told in early December 2022: “The pot begins to boil on December 10th.  It will end at Passover”! Passover is March 5th.  When I asked for the Holy Spirit’s clarification, it seemed that this pot is full of boiling water which is needed for sterilisation, probably during a birthing, and it will not be needed after Passover.
  2. Johnny Enlow received a Word on Jan 5th, 2023 which seemed “outrageous”. The Holy Spirit promised: “The whole world will become an Upper Room: everything, everywhere, all at once!” It seemed to me that this was another image of the Tsunami, but pinpointing a date: Pentecost (May 25th).

Adding this to the description of the outpouring of living water spontaneously as a tap turning on by itself over a wash-hand basin, the events seem to point to a revealing of Jesus to His people as the Lamb slain and as the King at Passover, and then a process by which the Israelis come to accept Him as their redeemer, and then the Tsunami is triggered at Pentecost to soak everybody in the goodness of God.
