Birthday Wish by Jack Black’s Tenacious D Band Member — Kill Trump
Since when was calling for someone to be killed a mere “lack of judgement”?
The Left has publicly condemned the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. But we know what they’re saying privately.
“Don’t miss Trump next time.”
That was the response of Tenacious D band member Kyle Gass on Sunday when asked by fellow band member Jack Black to make a birthday wish.
To be fair, it’s about as sophisticated as political debate gets for most lefty musos.
These people — the Left — call themselves the party of love and tolerance and empathy. These are the people, remember, who insist that words are violence!
Outrageous
Tenacious D cancelled their Australian tour after Australia United Party Senator Ralph Babet called for them to be deported.
They’re not so tenacious after all.
Senator Babet said:
“Allowing Tenacious D to remain in Australia after calling for the death of a President is unthinkable.”
Albanese has not yet mentioned the incident. He is, of course, still waiting for a briefing on what was said, after which he’ll convene an expert independent committee that will take six months to develop a response for the government to enact, after first having it cleared by the ACTU.
Meanwhile, Jack Black and his unfortunate colleague have made the usual apologies.
It was a joke. It was in bad taste. They’ll reflect and learn and grow and whatever.
Gass said in a statement:
“I don’t condone violence of any kind, in any form, against anyone.”
Hmmm. Tell me again how “Don’t miss Trump next time” and “I don’t condone violence of any kind” go together?
Downplaying
Gass further explained:
“I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement. I profoundly apologise to those I’ve let down and truly regret any pain I’ve caused.”
Since when was calling for someone to be killed a “lack of judgement”?
Washing whites with colours is a lack of judgement.
Telling your wife those jeans make her ass look big is a severe lack of judgement.
But calling for a political opponent to be killed? That’s a lack of humanity.
Speaking of which, if only the outrage at those chanting “From the River to the Sea” every weekend was as fierce as the reaction to Kyle Gass.
Like I said, nobody knows how to hate like the Woke Radical Left-Wing acolytes.
And you have to shake your head at the way the Left, who get offended at anything Trump says (and a lot he does not say), are suddenly sooooo forgiving when one of their own openly says he wishes someone dead.
Such a myopic view of the world. No wonder we are in such an almighty mess.
The biggest concern, though, is not the line by a previously unknown member of a mostly unknown rock band. Rather, it’s the fact that so many Australians in the audience laughed out loud at the comment.
For all the moral posturing that goes on in this country, the truth is there’s much less decency than there was 50 years ago.

Totally inappropriate and concerning joke. But still, what happened to free speech? We complain about our speech being censored when people call it hatred, but it seems that most on the sensible side and now quite happy to do the same. And since the issue, Jack Black has really thrown his best mate under the bus.
In the US, there are exceptions to the free speech first amendment.
Calling for direct violence such as an assasination is such an exception.

Sooooo true! I think it high time we talked about the KPIs of the Left. We seem to celebrate the rhetoric (note sarcasm), but never get down to measuring the impact.
