7 Days of Prayer and Fasting for Awakening Australia Begins This Friday!

Beginning this Friday night, the Canberra Declaration is praying and fasting for seven days for Awakening Australia! We would love you to join us for this time, from Friday 6 to Thursday 12 September.

Each night on Zoom at 8 PM (AEST), we will meet online to pray for Australia and the Awakening Australia conference (which will be held from 26–29 September 2024).

Last week, Ben Fitzgerald, Alyse Andrews and Pat Steele from Awakening Europe/Australia joined the Canberra Declaration Zoom prayer call. You can watch the recording in the video below!

Ben, Alyse and Pat shared what they believe this month means for Australia. They are all seeking God to move through His people – as are we – as He has so many times in history.

Interestingly, Awakening Australia will be held at the Brisbane Showgrounds – the same place where Billy Graham preached at his famous revival meetings last century.

God’s heart is always for people to come to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. And the Church has the privilege of being His way of reaching people with the good news that Jesus is the Saviour of all (1 Tim 2:4; 4:10).

Praying for faith/revival in Australia is one of the core values of the Canberra Declaration. Ultimately, there can be no real positive change in Australia without people being born again into God’s forever family (John 1:12–13; 3:3).

We are delighted that there is a growing desire for revival in Australia. Last July in Brisbane saw the Stand Firm revival conference take place.

Now, we look forward to Awakening Australia, which is not so much an event (though it is that). Rather, it is a movement to see sharing the good news of Jesus become a natural and everyday part of an activated Church. The Church, carrying the message of everlasting life in Jesus, is Australia’s only hope.

Awakening Australia Prayer Points:

For the lost in Australia to come to know Jesus.
For labourers in Australia to share the gospel.
That God would come in power and love to reveal His glory in Brisbane at the Awakening Australia event in September.

We invite you to join us from this Friday as we intercede for an Australian awakening to God. Please join us on Zoom each night!

Will be sharing in the pray but unfortunately cant cope with zoom.
Having painful health condition at present and offering it up for healing and conversion of our politicians.
