Day 19: Awakened to a Deeper Revelation
Intention
To know the Father more intimately, understand who we are in Christ more deeply, and make him known to others more passionately.
Scripture
“I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints.”
– Ephesians 1:17–18
Reflection
Are we awake? Do we have a deep revelation of who we are in Christ? Are we earnestly asking God to open the eyes of our hearts, so that we may know him more deeply and grasp our glorious hope? Do we long for others to experience this same deep connection with the Father?
The turmoil in our world gives urgency to these questions. Are we thriving in the Lord, or have we grown spiritually sleepy?
Recently, I have been reflecting on the testimonies I have been hearing at The Global Harvest baptisms and reading in our social media posts.
One young man left behind a life of struggle and addiction to passionately follow Jesus.
After years away from the faith, a married couple in their 50s became concerned by the news and felt compelled to pick up a Bible. They immediately realised they needed God — now. They later said, “We’re all in, Vanessa. Not only do we want to be baptised, but please help us understand what it means to be a disciple. We need help reading the Bible.”
When the call ended, my heart leapt with joy. They wanted more than something temporary; they wanted all of their lives to be given to Jesus. They had been enlightened.
Their eagerness challenged me. This couple were asking to be baptised and discipled, determined to follow Jesus. Am I equally passionate? Or has everyday life lulled me to sleep?
Recently, I’ve spent hours in prayer, asking the Lord, “Wake me up inside. Open the eyes of my heart to know you more deeply and the inheritance that I’ve been given as a child of God.” I was even bold enough to say, “Lord, let me not die just being a nice girl. Please allow me to see a move of God.”
The thought of hundreds of people meeting Jesus fills me with wonder. All of us — whether new or old in the faith — are called to live fully awake in Christ, empowered by his Spirit to make him known. I long to see a move of God so great that countless lives are transformed and Jesus is glorified throughout our land.

Prayer
Father, open the eyes of our hearts so that we may know you more intimately, understand who we are in Christ more deeply, grasp our glorious hope more comprehensively, and make you known to others more passionately.
Let this deep revelation take root in us, so that those we meet see our wholehearted love for you and are drawn to know you. Awaken us from any spiritual slumber, so that our great desire is to see your name magnified. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer Points for October 2026
We are praying for the Church to:
- Awaken to her first love for Jesus (Ephesians 5:14; Revelation 2:4).
- Awaken to evangelism so that millions will trust in Christ (John 3:16; Proverbs 11:30).
- Awaken to her prophetic voice to the nation (Isaiah 52:1; Matthew 14:4).
We invite you to support this campaign to multiply prayer in Australia for revival and see millions come to faith in Christ. Every donation to the Canberra Declaration helps us promote prayer and make a stand for family, faith, freedom, life, and the good news of God’s love through Jesus Christ.
