DAY 1: Australia’s Prophetic Destiny

28 April 2019

3.2 MINS

by Ps Margaret Court AO MBE
Senior Minister, Victory Life Centre

Intention
That prayer and fasting steers our Nation into its prophetic destiny.

Scripture
“Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

Reflection
It is time for the Church to arise to be a strong voice of righteousness, truth and justice.

As we begin 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, I’d like to take the time to remind you of the word God impressed on my heart when He woke me up at 4am last month:

“You have a godly Prime Minister and I placed him at the helm of the Nation to steer the Nation into the course I have for it. ‘When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.’ (Proverbs 29:2).

“I will shift and sift this Nation to realign it in the Spirit as My hand is on the Nation. Wait and Awake to what is happening and be not deceived in this time. Have I not declared that this Nation is ‘the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit’?”

Throughout the Bible, prayer and fasting has impacted the course of history and adjusted the spiritual course of Nations.

In 1 Kings 18:37, Elijah pled the case for his Nation:

“Hear me Oh Lord: hear me that the people of this Nation know that You are the Lord God and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”

In Numbers 14, Moses did the same, reminding God of His own declaration about Himself back in Exodus 34:

“The Lord is long-suffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving the iniquity and transgression of the Nation. Pardon the iniquity of this people I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy.”

Because of this, Moses had the courage to petition the Lord with these words:

“And now I pray, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken.” (Numbers 14:17)

And then in verse 20, God responded by saying, “I have pardoned according to your word.”

That we would have the boldness of Elijah and Moses. That we, God’s church, would arise and prove God’s promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Prayer
Thank you, Father, that the righteous rule in our Nation of Australia. Thank you, Lord, that our Nation will be filled with Your glory. Thank you, Father, that our Prime Minister has found favour in Your sight, and also in the sight of the people of this Nation. Father, we ask for your mercy on our Nation. Pardon her according to Your Word. Thank you, Father, that our Prime Minister has a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge and understanding in all things (Ephesians 1:17). In Jesus’ name. Amen.
