Intention
As the church prays and worships for this election, the Lord will do the fighting for us.

Scripture
“And at Kadesh-barnea the Lord sent you out with this command: ‘Go up and take over the land I have given you.’ But you refused.” Deuteronomy 9:23

“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous.” Joshua 1:6-7

Reflection
When God spoke to the Israelites through Moses, they refused to take the land—and God was angry with them. Yes, He was disappointed for them that they would not get to enjoy the land, but He was also angry because they had thwarted His opportunity to fulfil His covenant promise!

God is a covenant-keeping God and He is looking for an opportunity right now to keep His covenant promises. I believe now is an opportune time for Him to keep His promises to Australia. There are many great and precious promises that have been decreed from heaven over this land. We have an inheritance that must be possessed!

Pastor Margaret Court has called the nation to 21 days of prayer and fasting, from Sunday April 28 to May 18, which is election day. We have an opportunity to rise up now with one heart and one voice before the throne of God and take possession of this nation for the Kingdom of God!

God is calling the nation back to Himself. He is calling the nation back to righteousness and justice so that His throne can be established in this nation.

In prayer I saw document folders, and I heard they were policy papers. As I looked, I saw these folders of papers moving from the left to the right.

I believe God is planning to move the policies of government that have had very dark agendas and bring them back to the light! It’s time to call our nation back to righteousness and re-establish our nation in righteousness.

There is, however, an enemy in our land.

Principalities and powers and rulers of wickedness in the heavily realms (Ephesians 6) would seek to deceive this nation. The enemy is always seeking an opportunity to steal, kill and destroy in every level of society.

I asked the Lord for His strategy for us, as we stand together to take possession of the nation for Him. In our Firehouse House of Prayer, he showed us 2 Chronicles 20:2-20. Please take the time to read this passage in its entirety, but especially take note of verses 15-23, which say:

“Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. Tomorrow, march out against them… But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out against them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!”

As we rise together in worship and prayer decreeing and declaring the victory of the Lord of Hosts, then the Lord will do the fighting for us.

In fact, while in worship, I saw in the Spirit a multitude of angelic troops waiting in ranks, preparing to be deployed into our nation. I believe they will be deployed across our nation as we worship and pray, and they will indeed do what we cannot do—for the battle is the Lord’s.

I believe the Lord is eager to show Himself strong on behalf of our nation. All of heaven is waiting to see Australia turned back to biblical foundations. God Himself is waiting to keep His promise to Australia to see her take up her mandate as a leader in the great end-times harvest!

It is a reality that God has marked our nation of Australia as His own. Australia is our inheritance. Let’s rise and possess it and see the Kingdom of God advance!

Prayer
Thank you, Lord for Australia, this Great South Land of the Holy Spirit. We decree that Australia will rise up and possess her inheritance as a nation belonging to God! We call up the army of the Lord, the singers and troops who will worship before the Lord in Spirit and in truth, proclaiming Jesus’ lordship in the land. We declare: “Rise up church of Jesus Christ all across the nation—it is time to possess your inheritance!” We proclaim: “Jesus is Lord over Australia! Australia for Jesus!”

Election Prayer Points
1. Pray that God would rule over this election so that righteous leaders would be elected to govern this nation in truth and justice because, “When the righteous are in authority the people rejoice.” (Proverbs 29:2)
2. Pray God’s blessing upon all our current parliamentarians and leaders, including their families and all the candidates of all the parties standing for this federal election. (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
3. Pray for a multiplication of prayer and unity across the Body of Christ in Australia that people will wake up to the dangers facing our nation and respond in prayer. (Ephesians 5:14)
4. Pray for a Spiritual Awakening for Australia, Revival and Transformation for our nation and the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)
