The Political Radicalisation of Children

Like many others, I’ve come to the conclusion that political activists are targeting the most impressionable people in the community, that is, our schoolchildren. And due to their tender age and intellectual vulnerability, they clearly think that they are ripe for the ideological picking.

Let me give you an example as to what I mean. The table below is a comparison between what the policy for the NSW Education Department regarding “controversial issues” was back in 2015, compared with what they currently are in 2019.

As you can see, we’ve gone from controversial issues having to:

… serve a clear educative process … consistent with curriculum objectives and not advancing the interests of any group, political or otherwise.

To now being:

… acceptable for educational purposes consistent with the delivery of curriculum and to be neutral places for rational discourse and objective study.

As any government bureaucrat—or should that be, apparatchik? —will tell you, the beauty of Newspeak is that, like a nose of wax, it can be shaped and moulded to be anything you please. Now, gone is the bothersome legislative framework which says that schools are to be focused on clear educational benchmarks related to the Gonski Report. Now youths and even children have #climatestrikes to take a day off school and engage in social activism on behalf of the global warming movement.

I witnessed this kind of systemic activism first hand when in 2015—before the legalisation of same-sex marriage—Burwood Girls High School held a Wear-It-Purple day and there was no “opt-out”. Instead, all students were told to comprehensively dress in purple clothes, eat purple food, and have a parade under the rainbow flag. All that was really missing was the singing of a gay anthem.

However, the only reason this whole Orwellian fiasco ended up in the news was because of a flagrant overreach. The school, possibly because of activist coercion, had in direct contravention of the NSW Guidelines, authorised a film to be played to all students which advocated for the controversial political agenda of gay marriage.

By the way, when the film Gayby Baby was finally shown, but after school hours due to the intervention of the Education Minister Adrian Piccoli, the NSW Police turned up in their absolutely fabulous, bespoke purple uniforms to support it. Again, rather than even attempt to appear ‘neutral’, their actions were an authoritarian way of unambiguously saying that anything but complete compliance with the LGBTIQ agenda would not be tolerated.

Then, all of sudden the penny dropped. This was how the recent Children’s Climate Change Crusades were engineered! Interestingly, it was technically in keeping with the NSW Department of Education’s new guidelines in advancing their education. And what’s more, it’s not like it was actually happening on school grounds.

Since then, however, I’ve realised that 2015 was only the beginning of a process which has previously been employed to manipulate children and youth into activist causes. For example, Chairman Mao propagandised school-age children with his Little Red Book and the Nazi’s shamelessly exploited children through the Hitler Youth Movement. A similar trend is emerging in Australia that reveals that school children are being systematically targeted to enlist in the Left’s progressive program.

I mean, let’s face it, what could be more alluring to a teenager than taking a day off school to pester politicians, such as Tony Abbott, regarding their perceived inaction over the climate catastrophe. Let’s face it, children just out of primary school know far more about the issue—and all of the economic ramifications of so-called climate change—than does one of Australia’s most recent Prime Ministers…

All of which is to say, is it any wonder that Labor, under Bill Shorten, wanted to lower the voting age 16? For some of the State Education Departments of Australia have gone the full-Orwell and so have quickly become unashamed propaganda machines.

Yes! and this in the context of news items like “5yo kids need anxiety centres” (The West Australian 5 June 2019). Change Crusades facilitated through schools should be prohibited. Likewise for transgender and sexual orientation education. Remember the T shirt “don’t confuse me, I’m a girl”.

I previously was employed in education for many years and was encompassed by these left-winged strategists. During the first instalment in the Middle East they were full of seething complaint toward the Americans, often about supposed abuses. I asked them; “Did you protest about (individually naming the many atrocities of Saddam Hussein’s regime?” On each question their answer was a clear emphatic “No!” To which I responded; “Then your argument has no substance then, does it!” The office becoming extremely tense and quiet, I quietly logged out of my computer and left the office.
    .
Their ongoing response was to completely isolate and ignore more for over one fortnight until one of my fellow teachers greeted me one day with a very timid “Hello”
    .
I no longer work in Australia’s Education System and have absolutely no reason or desire to return!

Education is full of left leaning curriculum, but it does come down to how the individual teacher handles the material in their own classroom.

This is what happens when ‘the church’ retreats into its own narrative and does not engage with society. For decades we have turned our back on society, lost our voice, bred inward looking pastors, speaking to ourselves. We became without courage, hiding inside fortress church. While we were doing this, the world took over our institutions of Media, Arts, Entertainment, Education, Family, Religion, Commerce and Government. Let’s find our voice and like Israel Falou, stand and pay the price of our beliefs as we are called to do by the blood sacrifice of Jesus. Holy Spirit show us where to stand and with whom to stand and having done all, to stand!

Well said! Evil only blooms and grows when good men and women stop pruning! Fully agree with you on prayer with action.

We do not know exactly how many committed Christians there are in Australia, or even how many of them hold to the traditional biblical teaching on human sexuality, but there are many who do.
Most of us are not nationally known figures whose opinions are respected, but we do have friends and neighbours.
If each one of us took time to understand these issues and used our knowledge to educate those we know then the effect would be quite remarkable and certainly transforming. Consider the effect that a handful of disciples had on the world.

Yes it is true, disturbing and upsetting that our most vulnerable, our children, are the target of extremist groups. It has been evident that the attack goes far deeper than our school children. The attack has been on our new born and unborn babies. It is shocking to read in your article that the NSW education department has forced children to take part in the homosexual push for acceptance. The extremists have not only attacked our older school children but clearly attacked our new born and unborn babies. the extremists have infiltrated our governments and convinced our leaders to make laws that babies must be vaccinated or later on they can’t attend day care – this is dictatorship. The most disturbing concern of all is the attack on our unborn babies with laws passed to allow abortion right up to full term, this is murder. We as Christians must stand up and be heard that these laws are unacceptable because they are an abomination before God.
