PROLIFE PRAYER DAY 29: Wisdom and Might
Know our God
It is vital to know God and be known by Him. That we remain in such an intimate relationship, that we will be able to be exactly where we need to be at any time. In the parable of the five wise virgins, there were also five that were foolish (Matthew 25:1-13). Those who were foolish did not have extra oil to sustain them at a vital time, and were told by the bridegroom: ‘Go away! Do I know you? I can assure you; I don’t even know you!’ (Matthew 25:12)
There has never been a more crucial time than now to cultivate our deep personal intimacy with the Lord. We are in a time when we all must have extra oil for our lamps. Oil for our lamps comes by the Holy Spirit, in our abiding in Him through worship and prayer. Even what we have relied on in past seasons is not going to help.
One deep longing from the Lord is that we know He is Lord, King and everything the Word reveals and for us to know Him and be known by Him.
“That is the reason you should always stay awake and be alert, because you don’t know the day or hour when the Bridegroom will appear.”
~ Matt 25:13 TPT
In these days, we will do well to stir up our hunger for intimacy, and read His Word with such intentionality to really know Him. Then when trouble comes, we will be wise and well-equipped, able to speak His truth, shine and be a part of His heavenly Kingdom solution on the earth.
Wisdom is Obedient Devotion
“How then does a man gain the essence of wisdom? We cross the threshold of true knowledge when we live in obedient devotion to God. Stubborn know-it-alls will never stop to do this, for they scorn true wisdom and knowledge.”
~ Proverbs 1:7
This obedient devotion to God is sometimes translated as fear of the Lord; it can also imply submission, awe, worship, and reverence. When we love wisdom, we are crowned with revelation knowledge. The Ekklesia of Christ must rely on heavenly-given wisdom – all we need do is ask. A fool is described in Proverbs as one who hates true wisdom and correction, with no desire to acquire revelation knowledge.
“I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might and has made known to me now what we desired of You, for You have made known to us the solution to the king’s problem.”
~ Daniel 2:23.
His Ekklesia are the ones who will step up with the solution, and be able to implement strategies that will bring great glory to our King, and remedy to the abortion issues and many other demonic schemes.
Wisdom in Government
We need wisdom in government, not control. Isaiah 9:6-7 reminds us that
“… to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
Scripture urges us to pray for those in government, leadership and authority in 1 Timothy 2:2 (NKJV).
We need a government that nurtures and protects the life of the unborn and newly born, that looks beneath the surface of sweeping emotional statements of women’s rights. Wise governments that are open-minded to other perspectives – perspectives that allow for Godly justice and righteousness in decision-making.
“It’s obvious to all; you will have nothing to do with corrupt rulers who pass laws that empower evil and defeat what is right.
For they gang up against the lovers of righteousness and condemn the innocent to death.”
~ Psalm 94:20-21 TPT
Worship:
Watch:
Prayer: Lord, thank You that the government is upon Your shoulders; thank You for Your kingdom of justice and righteousness. We ask for the wisdom from Heaven for ourselves, our nation and government. Lord, we ask for righteous leaders full of wisdom and the fear of the Lord to take the positions of leadership in every sphere of influence. Holy Spirit, anoint Your people with extra oil and a hunger to draw near — to not grow weary in doing good, but to stay alert and prayerful. Lord, deliver the unborn from the hands of the wicked, and deliver this nation from the oppression of the foolish, who behave like there is no God. Lord, in Your mercy make a way for the unborn in our nation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Prayer Points:
- Declare I am my Beloved’s and He is Mine; draw near to God, and He will draw near to us.
- Pray deliver us from evil, Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, to defeat these radical abortion bills in NSW and SA.
- Lord, raise up politicians and leaders who will seek out wise counsel and look for wisdom in every decision and action they take, thereby truly serving the people well
- Repent and confess on behalf of our nation for all the innocent lives legally taken through abortion over the past 50 years.
- Ask that the silent majority would rise again with one voice, and bring the Fear of the Lord and Righteousness and Justice back into public policy and parliament.
- May the Lion of the Tribe of Judah roar over Australia, to bring down the evil structures of the abortion Law and its support structures in the South Australian and NSW Parliaments.
- Pray for the Lord’s protection and presence at Saturday’s prayer walk in Adelaide.
Spend time today listening to the Lord, and Pray what is on His Heart.
