“When they sin against You—for there is no one who does not sin—
and You become angry with them and give them over to their enemies,
who take them captive to their own lands, far away or near;
and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive,
and repent and plead with You in the land of their captors and say,
‘We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly’;⁴⁸
and if they turn back to You with all their heart and soul
in the land of their enemies who took them captive,
and pray to You toward the land You gave their ancestors,
toward the city You have chosen and the temple I have built for Your Name;⁴⁹

Petition: Please join with us in praying for:

1. Iran – has 60,500 confirmed cases and 3,739 deaths. There are particular issues with the reporting and also the cases amongst the poor. Pray for Christians who are seeking to minister in this situation.
2. The ACT – now has 96 cases (up from 78 a week ago) with 2 deaths (up 1) and 40 recovered. Yesterday it recorded no new cases. Australia has a whole has gone up to 5,844 (up 100 – the lowest one-day rise yet). There have been 40 deaths. 2,432 have recovered and 96 are in ICU.
3. Boris Johnson – The British Prime Minister is now in intensive care in hospital as a result of the virus.
4. Christian nurses and doctors who have the opportunity to bear witness to Christ in the midst of this pandemic. Prayer for protection, clarity, faith and love.
5. Those who are finding working at home difficult – with perhaps limited space and facilities, and the difficulty of establishing a new routine.

A Prayer of Repentance:

Almighty and Everlasting God,
Who hates nothing that You have made
and does forgive the sins of all them that are penitent;
Create and make in us new and contrite hearts,
that we worthily lamenting our sins,
and acknowledging our wretchedness,
may obtain of You, the God of all mercy,
perfect remission and forgiveness;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
