With the decline of Western civilisation over many decades, the ‘existence of God’ and the truth of His Word have steadily been eroded, only to be replaced by world-views and ideologies which run (savagely) contrary to Truth.

In our post-modern world, what has taken root — and which is a menacing threat to societies who have enjoyed, until now, what we have termed the basic freedoms — is a radical left-wing Neo-Marxist agenda, intent on global totalitarian control. This Agenda has nothing to do with freedom and everything to do with the oppression of people(s) and their cultures.

The convenient smoke-screen which masks the real agenda of the global (socialist) elites was at first termed global warming — a term favourable to propagate and gradually convince people of the serious danger of the polar ice-caps melting, which would result in rising sea levels, thereby engendering fear that our coastlines will inevitably be swamped. Surely, a catastrophe we would all want to avoid. At the same time, it was asserted that the real cause for global warming was excessive and unrestrained greenhouse emissions, which would take a global effort by all nations to remedy.

However, given that there is no corroborative evidence of dramatically rising sea levels, the term has now been replaced with climate change, and the alarmists, backed by the morally corrupt secular media, make sure their unedited propaganda and misinformation is continually saturating our thinking, all the while persuading people that climate change is real. This is now a widely-held belief.

 

Michael Voris unpacks the hidden agenda(s) of the elites working tirelessly towards global control in conjunction with the United Nations. His research began in 2006. Vortex means to be sucked in. This is a compelling presentation exposing the deception and those who are behind it.

In its Good News Update 142 dated 27^th November 2015, just before Australia signed up to the Paris Agreement, the Canberra Declaration alerted its supporters to the ambitious development goals of the UN’s New Universal Agenda and reported the following — the propaganda was staring us in the face.

The United Nations’ far-reaching New Universal Agenda

“Two years ago (2013) Fox News reported that ‘the United Nations is planning to create a sweeping new set of sustainable development goals for the planet, that will likely require trillions of dollars of spending on poverty and the environment, a drastic re-organisation of economic production and consumption — especially in rich countries — and an even greater effort in the expensive war on climate change. It’s an Agenda that its prominent boosters have declared will make the next 15 years ‘some of the most transformative in human history’, although the exact nature of the goals themselves, and how they are achieved, is unclear.“

It is likely to require trillions of dollars — from rich nations — … although the exact nature of the goals themselves and HOW they are to be achieved, is UNCLEAR! In other words, the UN — prominent boosters of this Agenda — have no idea how this will play out, but it is going to require trillions of dollars from rich countries!

The New Universal Agenda has a dark ‘underbelly’. Apart from the necessary war on climate change, the same boosters of this Agenda also insist that the world is over-populated and population must also be controlled.

Many times the UN has come under scrutiny by Christians for its stance on population control. Underlying the need for population control in the minds of many, even some Christians, is that there are too many human beings on planet Earth. Overpopulation, they claim, degrades the environment, increases greenhouse gases and results in climate change.

Does this mean then the vigorous promotion and universal access of women and girls to abortion?

Targets 3.7 and 5.6 for example, state:

‘… by 2030 ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including family planning, information and education, and the introduction of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes… as agreed, in accordance with the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development’.

In a short period, this procedure under the guise of healthcare has become a modern-day pandemic/scourge. A current statistic suggests that globally, 137,000 to 160,000 babies are aborted daily. Planned Parenthood, the biggest abortion provider in the world has affiliates in most countries — including Australia — massively profiting from this assault on women and their unborn, all the while harvesting baby body parts for profit (e.g. baby tissue used in the manufacture of cosmetics and other products).

By signing up to the Paris Agreement (if those ‘targets’ were endorsed), it would seem we have signed up to making abortion part of our national strategy. The United States is not so bound.

How will the far-reaching and extremely ambitious 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets be achieved in just 15 (now 10) years? Surely this will require an unprecedented level of global management and control.*

Paris Agreement

The propaganda has been so successful that a coalition of 197 countries have now signed up to the Paris Agreement, leaving them in danger of compromising their sovereignty.

Donald Trump saw through the ruse, and one of the first things he did as President was to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. He was neither going to compromise the sovereignty of America, nor was he going to invest in this pie in the sky initiative, and supply the global elites with trillions of dollars, from his country.

For the record, Tony Abbott put before the then Federal Parliament just prior to the leadership passing to Scott Morrison, that Australia should withdraw from the Paris Agreement. His voice wasn’t listened to.

Who are the global elites? Some familiar names of the mega-rich. These people are disclosed in Michael Voris’ The Vortex: Climate Change.

God’s Word

However, rather than believing the unrelenting propaganda as the only definitive source, we need to turn to the Word of God for ‘clarity’ on the issue of climate. I once asked God (when I was a very new Christian) ‘how He got here’. Immediately, He said to me — Child what does My Word say? I understood that I had asked the wrong question — but, What does My Word say? is God’s standard response to any question we may have.

The following texts have informed my opinion on this issue called ‘climate’.

The opening statement of Scripture declares:

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them.
~ Genesis 1:1

Since ‘mankind’ (Adam) was last to be created on the afternoon of Day 6 (of Creation week), we can accurately conclude that God did not involve humankind in His work of climate control. This planet in all its magnificence was already in place in readiness for mankind to dwell.

In my view, climate is God’s responsibility then and now. With all the rhetoric, ‘man’ cannot change climate any more than we can alter the four seasons, the 24-hour day/night cycle, the movement of the planets around our sun, the tides, etc. They all work to a Divine and fixed command.

The responsibility that God did give to humankind was that we should be stewards, take care of the Earth, husband it, protect and tend it (and not exploit it). Given that mankind has fallen short in its responsibility, I am not persuaded that God would (ever) trust us with climate control (and it is futile and presumptuous to think that we could).

Carbon Emissions

Carbon emissions and pollution are the cause of the ‘climate’ problem, yell the climate and environmental activists and in order to preserve the planet (more alarmism); we can no longer use coal to generate power. The countries globally, must resort to renewables to reduce our carbon footprint.

SA found that its experiment with renewables did not work. Not enough power could be produced to meet the demand and it proved too expensive. Germany has experienced the same problems with solar power.

To address our concerns as to how we should generate power in (in the face of the political activists so intent on saving us from global catastrophe) now and in the future — whether coal power, nuclear power, wind power, solar power… God actually tells us from His Word.

We are still in Genesis 1:27-29 …

And God blessed Adam (and Eve) and said to them,
Be fruitful and multiply and fill (populate) the earth and subdue it.

The Amplified Bible translates the word subdue as using ALL of its vast resources in the service of God AND man.

As Martyn Iles (ACL – Australian Christian Lobby) said recently in The Truth of It, commenting on ‘climate’:

‘Mankind has been given the resources of the Earth to use wisely.
Yes, we can have the coal in the ground.’

 

God’s Sovereignty over His creation

From Genesis, we can look at God’s discourse with Job (chapters 38-41).
A reading of these chapters leave us in no doubt that God is Sovereign over all His creation.

Not understanding God’s sovereignty, Job rashly uttered what he did not understand and God ‘took up’ Job’s challenge.

‘Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said… gird up your loins like a man and I will demand of you, and you declare to Me —

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Declare to Me, if you have and know understanding. Who determined the measures of the earth, if you know? Or who stretched the measuring line upon it? Upon what were the foundations of it fastened, or who laid the corner-stone.

Or who shut up the sea with doors when it broke forth and issued out of the womb? and marked for it My appointed boundary and set bars and doors, and said — thus shall you come and no farther; and here shall your proud waves be stayed. Have you commanded the morning since your days began and caused the dawn to know its place?’

~ Job 38:1-12

At the conclusion of the Job discourses, poor Job was demolished. However, if our name was substituted for Job, we wouldn’t have any answers, either.

Then Job said to the Lord, I know that you can do ALL things, and that no thought or purpose of Yours can be restrained or thwarted.
~ Job 42:1

In these verses, God tells us that He has set ‘doors and bars’ on the oceans and marked their appointed boundaries. That being so, glaciers/ice-sheets may melt in the regions of the poles, but nothing in all creation is outside of God’s control.

Climate Catastrophe or God’s ‘unchanging’ order

To further refute the extreme Left’s radical ideas that an immediate and wide-reaching response to climate change is necessary (whatever that looks like. As Jordan Peterson says — what is in place is a wish-list, none of which is achievable) to avoid a global catastrophe (i.e. the ice-caps melting and excessive greenhouse emissions being responsible for higher temperatures around the globe which threaten all life), we need to be reminded of God’s covenant promise to Noah following the global Flood.

While the earth remains, seed, time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter and day and night will not cease.
~ Genesis 8:22

And God said to Noah, the rainbow is the token or sign — “the solemn pledge which I have established between Me and all flesh upon the earth.” This is an everlasting covenant.

God has declared that His ‘order’ will be maintained on this planet, while this earth remains. Seed time and harvest and heat and cold will remain, conditions necessary for the growing of food and supporting all life.

Again, the radical Left are on the wrong side of Truth. Excessive greenhouse emissions are not going to ‘tip the planet over the edge’.

God has given us His Word (the Logos). God has revealed to humankind ALL there is for us to know, at this present time.

The Word of the Lord is TRUTH. Jesus said: Know the Truth and the Truth will set you free (John 8:32) — free from deception and misinformation. To know God’s laws and His statutes is the beginning of wisdom (and discernment of right and wrong). The Truth of God’s Word brings clarity to our thinking.

What this writer is trying to convey is that the powers of darkness working in our world purpose no good thing. History, down through the millennia, has shown that when any person (despot) or ideology whose motive or agenda has a global quest, then Satan is the force behind it. This current global Agenda is no different.

As Jesus said:

Satan was a murderer and liar from the beginning. He is the father of lies — there is no truth in him.
~ John 8:44

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy.
~ John 10:10

Satan is all about slavery and bondage, and wherever he has a ‘stronghold’, there is poverty and misery.

In my view, the radical Left strive unrelentlessly to divide a country, then set about to impoverish it and ultimately control it.

Jesus warned:

Be vigilant. Be alert. Keep watch. Be informed. Jesus warned:

Jesus said: How can a person go into a strongman’s house and carry off his goods, without first binding the strongman? Then indeed, he may plunder his house.
~ Matthew 12:29

Neglect of God’s Word over many decades has plunged mankind into darkness. People in vast numbers need to be freed from the massive deception promoted by those who peddle climate ideology. It is not TRUTH. Christians, in particular, now need to confront and replace the ‘lies’ with Truth and begin by binding the strongman, if we want to retain our freedom and liberty. It is this matter of Truth that is urgent, not ‘climate change‘.

I long to see Australia become Biblically literate again, beginning in our homes, and for Truth to be proclaimed in our public squares, in our law courts, in our schools and universities, in our media and that this people are not blown about by every wind of doctrine.

I long to see Australia claim her rightful heritage. Humbly relying on Almighty God — a country where righteousness, justice and Truth are the rule of law, and where we and our children and grandchildren can live quiet and peaceable lives.

At Canberra Declaration, we will remain vigilant in prayer, worship and thanksgiving to see God’s will accomplished and Australia reclaim her destiny — The Great Southland of the Holy Spirit — and the evil one unceremoniously put to flight.

Globalisation is not God’s design. The Tower of Babel was fallen man’s first attempt to live apart from God. God scattered the people and confused their language. Every further attempt to gain global control has proved ruinous. God has arranged us in families and in (our own) nations for our good.

‘Happy, fortunate and to be envied is the nation whose God is the Lord.’

‘If you keep My laws and My statutes, things will go well for you. But, if you don’t keep My laws and My statutes’ — the converse is true.

Canberra Declaration Good News Update 142 – 27^th November 2015:
The need to look closely at the Universal Agenda.

Among the 169 stated targets, we read many lofty and fine-sounding objectives. To mention just a few, the New Agenda aims ‘by 2030′ to —

• ‘eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere’ (target 1.1)
• ‘end hunger’ and ‘end all forms of malnutrition’ (2.1,2.2)
• Ensure that all boys and girls complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education (4.1)
• ‘achieve access to affordable and safe drinking water for all’ (6.1)
• ‘universal access to affordable, reliable and modern energy services’ (7.1)
• ‘ensure access for all to adequate, safe and affordable housing’ (11.1)

While a first reading of the stated ideals may sound like a wonderful dream come true, a closer reading raises many questions. What is really behind some of the terminology used?

There is enormous potential for a clash between the new Agenda and Christian values.

*Hints of One World Government

The words of the new Agenda give some hints which are foreboding.

‘We recognise that we will not be able to achieve our ambitious goals and targets without revitalized and enhanced Global Partnership and comparably ambitious means of implementation’ which ‘will facilitate an intensive global engagement.‘ (paragraph 60)

‘The High Level Political Forum will have a central role … at the global level. The HLPF will provide high-level political guidance on the Agenda and its implementation, identify progress and emerging challenges and mobilize further actions to acceleration the implementation’ (paras 82 and 87)

The intention of the United Nations may not be a one world government, but most certainly this would be a big step in that direction.

God has the Bigger Agenda

The United Nations has a new universal Agenda to ‘save mankind and planet Earth’. But God has THE BIG AGENDA, which precedes and supersedes all other agendas.

‘He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfilment — to bring all things in Heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.’
~ Ephesians 1:9-10

As Australians let us look to God for His answers for the world today.
