Pro-Life Prayer Day 6: Wisdom’s Blueprints and the Mind of Christ

20 July 2020

3.9 MINS

The Lord laid the earth’s foundations with wisdom’s blueprints.
By His living-understanding, all the universe came into being.
~ Proverbs 3:19 TPT

For Who has ever intimately known the mind of the Lord Yahweh well enough to become His counselor? Christ has, and we possess Christ’s perceptions.
~
1 Corinthians 2:16 TPT

For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.
~
1 Corinthians 2:16 AMPC

There is a way that seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.
~ Proverbs 16:25 AMPC

The era has changed: we are at a crossroads, and as Jeremiah states in chapter 6:16,

Stand where the roads cross [at the crossroads] and look.
Ask where the old [eternal; enduring] way is, where the good way is, and walk on it. If you do, you will find rest for yourselves [souls].

This is the perfect time for the Church to ask for Wisdom’s blueprints, and where the good way is — His way; then arise and be a generation to co-labour with Christ, in the very feelings and purposes of His Heart, to turn around injustice for the unborn. In His good works prepared for us, we have blueprints from Heaven that we can access by the Holy Spirit. We can tune in and listen to Heaven’s wise counsel as we dwell in Christ (Eph 2:6) and His Word abides in us (John 15:7); we are able to move in the fullness of Christ’s power and authority (Col 2:9-10) and have His miraculous victory.

As passionate followers of Jesus, Who is the ‘Way’, we cannot comprehend that cheers went up by politicians where the abortion bills were passed. This is a far cry from the agonizing over 50 years ago when abortion was first legalized, expecting it to be in rare cases to save the life of a mother. Once again, we need governments and cultural change even within the Church to rightly consider the dignity of human life, gender-selective abortion, the true health and well-being of women, and the need for pre-abortion counselling. Are we a society that puts our own rights above the protection and rights of the unborn?

We find ourselves in a huge culture clash: the Kingdom of Light versus that of darkness, Truth versus lies, Wisdom versus control and Faith versus Unbelief.

Prayer:
Father, we humble ourselves and confess that even as Your Church, we have not followed Your ways of wisdom and faith; we ask Your forgiveness and mercy. Lord, give us grace to help us now, that You call Your people to be one is this battle, and to carry Your heart, the blueprints of Heaven, for the fight for the unborn, for justice and freedom. Let Your love flow as we pray for the unborn and women caught in the web of abortion. Let mercy and rescue be the normal occurrence until it again becomes abhorrent to abort our children in this nation.

Father, turn the hearts of the parliamentarians to vote against the Health Care (Safe Access) Amendment Bill 2020, or at the very least agree to the proposed amendments.
Lord, let there be the upholding of freedom to pray, to offer assistance and other choices, and for businesses nearby who hold pro-life values to be able to conduct their work without hindrance or threat of legal action.
Lord, equip Your people with strategies that are creative and relational, that circumvent outdated ways of media and protest.
Let Heaven invade Earth with blueprints to build according to the mind of Christ Jesus. Lord, we ask for a culture shift! As the Kingdom of Light is advancing, we pray our thinking shift from Western (Greek) thinking (self, comfort, money and success) to the ways of the Lord – the mind of Christ (obedience, a laid-down life, taking responsibility, creativity, joy, abundance, protection, posterity and fulfilling our God-given destiny).
Lord, speak to the youth and younger women and men, and all who have been raised in the cultural belief that it’s all about women’s rights. Open the understanding to consider the fetus is a living human being, also having every right to live, to be nurtured, to be able to laugh, play, learn, grow and contribute to this world. Raise them up into fighting for life — not insisting on its destruction. Lord, forgive the sin of our generations where we have been perverting justice known or unknown, and in Your mercy, increase rescue for the unborn!
Grant to all who are praying for life and rescue for the unborn, encouragement and wisdom, tenacity, and deep connection with Your love to sustain, direct and inspire us to victory.

We pray all these things in the powerful Name of Jesus Christ, Who is the Way, the truth and the life. Amen.

** On Wednesday, 22 July 2020, the SA Lower House will debate and possibly vote on the Health Care (Safe Access) Amendment Bill 2020
The Bill will establish 70,000-square-metre zones in at least 12 areas (possibly more) in South Australia, where it will be against the law to communicate about abortion in a way that can be seen and heard by those entering or leaving a place where abortions are carried out.

As it stands, this Bill will:

  • ban silent prayer;
  • stop those who want to offer pregnancy support to women who do not want to have an abortion, but do so as they feel they have no alternative;
  • affect the freedom to communicate publicly about abortion in large areas of SA.

Proposed Amendments (vital to maintain for SA if the Bill were to pass)
Write to MPs asking them to not support the Bill in its current form, and to vote for key amendments such as allowing silent prayer, offers of help, and preserving the rights of organisations which were in zones before they commenced operation.
More details for taking action can be found on the ACL website.
