Millions of Australian Dads will hear and see Dads4Kids‘ Best Daddy musical Community Service Advertisements over the next 12 months. They will be inspired to become who their children already think they are: ‘The Best Dad in the World’.

Dads4Kids sees the whole year as a time to strengthen family relationships and encourage Dads, not only around Father’s Day. These CSAs will be seen on free to air TV over the next 12 months.

The Dads4Kids ‘Best Daddy’ campaign contains two CSAs — 30 seconds and 60 seconds — which feature many different Australian dads and their children. The longer CSA includes the Qualls family. The CSAs also feature Indigenous Dads, dancing and playing music with their children. The adverts can also be viewed at the Dads4Kids YouTube Channel.

You can even watch the Best Daddy videos on Facebook and pass them on to your friends on Facebook. We have had a lot of interest in the adverts. The coronavirus and other factors have slowed us down in getting them out, but Best Daddy has finally hit the big time.

The good news is that the CSAs are out for Father’s Day. Better still, many stations have promised to play them, including Channel Seven, both Metro and regional Prime.

Cody Qualls, the songwriter/performer of the Best Daddy song, featured in Dads4Kids’ TV CSAs, released the Best Daddy single digitally for Father’s Day in June in the USA. He, with his children, published the Best Daddy children’s book. Cody has been creating, teaching, and performing music since 2000. He is a long-time member of Face Vocal Band.

A multi-award-winning artist, Qualls was named Colorado Male Rock Vocalist of the Year (2016) and Male Vocalist of the Year by the International A Cappella Awards (2019). His original track, Focus on Your Rap Game, received 1st place in the Great American Songwriting Contest. However, Cody’s most treasured accomplishments are his four incredible children and the marriage to his wife, Marlana.

Dads4Kids is a harm prevention charity committed to excellence in fathering. In August 2002, Dads4Kids inaugurated its first National TV Community Service Ad Campaign to encourage and inspire Aussie dads. These Excellence in Fathering campaigns run by Dads4Kids have continued on TV every year, garnering tens of millions of dollars in free advertising and have been seen by 21 million Australians, in some cases hundreds of times.

COVID-19 has affected us all. Father’s Day in 2020 has been like no other. Never before have families been so aware of the importance of relationships. Never before have fathers appreciated their children as much as over the past seven months.

The Father Absence Crisis in Australia is devastating our children. There is a ‘father factor’ in nearly all the societal ills facing Australia today. Statistics tell us that over 870,000 children go to sleep each night without their father in the home. According to the ABS, more than 1 in 6 children live without their biological father in the home.

Over a million more children have a father in the home, but he is emotionally absent from them. That father has never been trained in the practical ways he needs to be a good dad. The Best Daddy CSA TV ads give dads practical ideas on how to spend time with their children. Children spell LOVE = TIME. Excellence in fathering is the long-term goal.

The simple mission of Dads4kids is to turn the tide of fatherlessness and put a smile on the faces of millions of Australian children. The aim of Dads4Kids is to give our children the best start in life.

Some are single dads who are deprived of that right; others are serving our country in the armed forces, health services or working away from home. Let’s celebrate Father’s Day together for all concerned. Together we can make a difference for our children!
