Joe Biden’s Proselytising for Woke Ideology Puts the West at Risk
How many times have you heard members of the progressive left scream at Christians: “Don’t push your religion on us!”
And yet the progressive left is pushing its rainbow religion on nations around the world right now via American foreign policy.
Australian journalist Miranda Devine detailed in the New York Post how the Biden administration is pushing LGBTQ ideology onto US allies, and threatening them with sanctions if they fail to comply.
It’s now a historic footnote that just weeks before the Taliban swept into Kabul to take control of Afghanistan, the American embassy was celebrating gay ‘pride’ month.
The month of June is recognized as (LGBTI) Pride Month. The United States respects the dignity & equality of LGBTI people & celebrates their contributions to the society. We remain committed to supporting civil rights of minorities, including LGBTI persons. #Pride2021 #PrideMonth pic.twitter.com/qgKPQAPaOY

Had the Americans been as concerned about security as they were about promoting gender fluidity to their Muslim hosts, the Taliban might not have been able to overrun the country.
Anyway, the gay flags in Kabul are long gone. So too are the Americans.
But that humiliation did nothing to dampen the Biden government’s enthusiasm for waving the LGBTQ flag on foreign soil.
Here’s the US embassy to the Holy See, drapped in the rainbow flag. Because the best way to ensure good relations with your Christian hosts is to rub rainbow sexuality and gender ideology in their faces.

A US embassy instagram post promoting Gay Pride Month in the Catholic city attracted hundreds of comments, the first of which was probably the kindest…
“May God have mercy on your souls.”
Indeed.
United States National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said just last week that …
“LGBTQ+ rights are… a core part of our foreign policy.”
What does that even mean?
Does that mean that if you don’t celebrate gay pride you won’t receive American aid money?
Maybe.
Kirby recently threatened Uganda with economic sanctions after the predominantly Christian nation criminalised homosexuality.
The irony of the threat is that most of the US aid to Uganda is to help with the treatment of AIDS victims.
Promote homosexuality, or we will not help you stop homosexuals dying from AIDS.
That’s quite the diplomatic pitch!
Miranda Devine reports that in Ecuador, the US State Department
“has been funding ‘drag theatre performances’, which it calls a ‘public diplomacy program… to promote diversity and inclusion’”.
She adds…
“The grant summary says the objective is to support ‘US foreign policy goals and objectives, advance national interests, and enhance national security’.”
Your guess as to how men caricaturing women in highly sexualised performances ‘enhances national security’ is as good as anyones.
But you just know that if Ecuadorian children are present for the drag queen performances, the nation’s security will be especially enhanced.
It’s weird.
And it’s dangerous.
No better is the arrogant LGBTQ proselytising of US allies better illustrated than in the Biden administrations’s attitude towards Hungry.
Hungry is a highly conservative Christian country that has recently passed laws banning gender studies and the portrayal of LGBTQ content to minors.
So who do you think Biden sent as his ambassador to the nation the New York Times describes as “Europe’s self-declared citadel of traditional Christian values”?

Well, of course, Joe Biden sent gay human rights lawyer David Pressman, together with his husband and two children.
During Pressman’s confirmation hearing, protestors in Hungry created a sign that said:
“Mr. Pressman, don’t colonize Hungary with your cult of death.”
When Pressman arrived in Budapest one of the first things he did was hang a photograph of that “welcome to Hungary” sign on the wall behind his embassy desk. “And it has been pretty much downhill ever since”, the New York Times reported.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why.
Bear in mind, Europe is on the edge of war and China is threatening in the Pacific. The US needs all the allies it can get right now.
Which raises the question, why would they be deliberately provoking culture wars with key allies when they may need those same allies for actual wars in the next year or two?
Miranda Devine writes that one of the first things Biden did upon becoming President was to sign an executive order directing all “diplomacy and foreign assistance [to] promote and protect the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons everywhere [and combat] intolerance.”
This wasn’t just a warm, fuzzy, kind of Woke idealism. It was a threat. A very real threat.
Devine writes:
“Any foreign government that creates a ‘climate of intolerance’, however that is defined by ultra-liberal State Department officials, will be punished with ‘the full range of diplomatic and assistance tools and, as appropriate, financial sanctions, visa restrictions, and other actions’.”
Woketards in the Western world, having rejected religion, find it difficult to imagine that others take religion seriously. But people around the world do take their Christianity (or in the Middle East their Islam) seriously. As such, they regard rainbow ideology (rightly in my view) as a threat to their religion, their families and their societies.
Foreign countries don’t want decadent Americans attempting to remake their cultures in rainbow colours.
The woke religion coming out of the United States requires total cultural submission. It’s about as subtle as the Embassy of the United States to Barbados during Pride Month.

And we don’t have time to talk about the US tying foreign aid money to abortion services in Africa.
My point is this. Foreign nations have a choice between American aid and Chinese aid. The difference is that the Chinese don’t care about your views on gay sex, they don’t want to police your use of pronouns and they won’t insist your women have abortions.
The Biden administration, on the other hand, is increasingly saying to foreign nations, ‘if you want to be friends with us, we’ll need those citizens you haven’t yet aborted to be participating in Mardi Gras’.
If you were a conservatives Christian or Muslim country, why would you align yourself with the West?
Joe Biden’s proselytising for Woke ideology is putting the West at risk.

Thanks James.
As usual your accuracy in reporting this stuff is so very appreciated. You won’t hear or read about this on any ‘mainstream’ media.
Miranda is just fantastic at her job.
Sadly we are seeing this abhorrent behaviour of the US government being embraced by our political fools in charge.
God help us.
Hungary was a communist nation and saw the damage that it did and now they, and some other post communist nations, seem more aware than a lot of western nations to wokeism and control etc.
